Abstract

This study is a development research that aims to explore: (1) the need for curriculum development in the local content of agribusiness focused on shallot cultivation for seventh-grade students at MTs. Muhammadiyah Kalosi in Enrekang district, (2) the validation of the learning product content for the Agribusiness Local Content Curriculum in shallot cultivation, and (3) the user responses regarding the practicality of the developed curriculum for seventh-grade students at MTs. Muhammadiyah Kalosi. The research subjects included content experts, media experts, teachers, and students who would be using the developed product. Specifically, the study involved 1 content expert, 1 media expert, 1 local content subject teacher, and 24 seventh-grade students at MTs. Muhammadiyah Kalosi. The research employed a development design adapted from Ken Peffers et al. (2007), which comprises six main activities. However, due to time constraints, the research focused on four activities: 1) identifying problems, 2) determining goals and solutions, 3) designing and developing products, and 4) demonstrating products. A needs assessment was conducted through questionnaires distributed to students and subject teachers, which revealed a strong requirement for a curriculum focused on agribusiness in shallot cultivation for seventh-grade students at MTs. Muhammadiyah Kalosi. The curriculum was validated as both feasible and practical, as evidenced by expert validators, teacher feedback, and group trials, all of which placed it in the "very good" category. The curriculum is deemed suitable for integration into educational contexts to help students maintain cultural relevance

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively examine the influence of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) on enhancing students’ problem-solving abilities in physics education. The integration of IoT into PBL is seen as a progressive approach to address the growing demand for innovative instructional strategies that promote higher-order thinking skills. A quantitative approach was adopted, utilizing a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group format to assess the effectiveness of the intervention. The participants were 25 undergraduate physics students from the University of West Sulawesi, selected through saturated sampling due to the limited population size. To evaluate students’ problem-solving skills, data were collected using structured written tests designed around five key indicators: understanding the problem, describing the problem, planning the solution, executing the solution, and evaluating the results. Prior to hypothesis testing, normality of the data was assessed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, followed by paired sample t-tests with IBM SPSS Statistics 23 to determine the significance of differences in pretest and posttest scores. The findings revealed a statistically significant improvement in students’ problem-solving skills following the implementation of the IoT-based PBL model, with results showing significance at the 5% level and gain scores classified as effective. These outcomes demonstrate the potential of the PBL-IoT integration to foster critical thinking and improve educational quality. Therefore, the implementation of this instructional model is recommended for physics educators seeking to enhance student engagement, problem-solving proficiency, and learning outcomes through the integration of emerging technologies.

Abstract

The purpose of this PKM is to increase the interest of SMA 4 teachers in Gowa Regency in developing canva-based learning media and improving skills in developing learning media. The methods carried out in this activity consist of: (a) Training, which is an interactive activity with SMA 4 teachers in Gowa Regency to provide theoretical explanations about learning media, and (b) Practice, giving tasks to teachers to create learning animation video media using the Canva application then asking the trainees to collect media assignments to be given assessments and inputs. The results of the service activity of making learning animation videos using the Canva application for SMA 4 teachers in Gowa Regency were attended by 32 participants consisting of teachers and education staff at SMA Negeri 4 Gowa which is located at Jl. Pendidikan, Malino, Kec. It can be concluded that the service activities have an impact on the participants by increasing the interest of teachers in developing canva-based learning media and improving their skills in developing canva-based learning media.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar matematika pada siswa kelas V UPT SD Negeri 1 Betao Kecamatan Pitu Riawa Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang menjadi permasalahan utama dalam pembelajaran. Pembelajaran yang cenderung monoton dan berpusat pada guru menyebabkan siswa kurang aktif dan kurang memahami materi, khususnya konsep bangun datar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V UPT SD Negeri 1 Betao. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes hasil belajar, dan angket aktivitas belajar siswa serta guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan model Jigsaw, dengan rata-rata nilai belajar meningkat dari 72,75 pada siklus I menjadi 87,25 pada siklus II. Ketuntasan belajar siswa juga meningkat dari 46,40% pada siklus I menjadi 95% pada siklus II, melebihi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yang ditetapkan yaitu 75. Aktivitas belajar siswa dan guru juga mengalami peningkatan dari kategori cukup menjadi baik. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V UPT SD Negeri 1 Betao. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi agar guru menerapkan model pembelajaran ini secara konsisten guna meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar.
