Abstract

The development of reading comprehension is an important skill that helps students with a variety of academic assignments. It facilitates their ability to comprehend textual information and to analyze, clarify, and articulate their own opinions about them. Consequently, students are required to strengthen their comprehension of textual content through the academic assignments that their teachers provide. One of reading comprehension's main goals is to help students become better readers by helping them understand texts properly. This research aim was to analyze the role of rainbow card strategy in efl learning context by emphasizing reading ability. The method of this study was mixed method with a classroom action research design adopted from Kemmis & M. Taggard. The participant of this research was student’s eighth grade students consist of 30 students. The data collection was in form of observation, written test, and interview for both students and a teacher. The findings of this study indicated that appropriate reading strategies such as rainbow card technique play an important role in enhancing the reading comprehension abilities of EFL students.. A further result was also described in cycle two and three in which significantly improved students’ comprehension. Nonetheless, in the first of cycle, the statistical data indicated low improvement due to the limited time and new approach. At the same time, a new innovation and approach in pedagogy was needed in order to improve the learning and teaching outcomes. Finally, the research emphasized the significance of adopting innovative pedagogical practices to cultivate a more engaging and impactful learning due to the limitation of the students’ interest and comprehension in reading.

Abstract

This research analyzes the implementation of population service policies in Palopo City, focusing on the provision of public services at the Population and Civil Registration Office. This study utilizes a descriptive and qualitative methodology to examine the essential services linked to the Population Identity Card (KTP), including legislation, authorities, processes, documentation, and factors that facilitate or hinder policy implementation. The results demonstrate that centralizing KTP administration represents progress for the local government, optimizing the population service system and enabling the formulation of further policies based on empirical data. The centralization of KTP management has enabled the Population and Civil Registration Office to enhance the efficiency and efficacy of public service delivery to residents. By optimizing the population service system, the government may more effectively address the demands of the populace and guarantee that policies are founded on precise and current data. This study underscores the significance of ongoing enhancement and innovation in public service delivery for societal advancement. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini menganalisis pelaksanaan kebijakan pelayanan kependudukan di Kota Palopo, dengan fokus pada penyediaan layanan publik di Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil. Studi ini menggunakan metodologi deskriptif dan kualitatif untuk meneliti layanan esensial yang terkait dengan Kartu Tanda Penduduk (KTP), termasuk legislasi, otoritas, proses, dokumentasi, dan faktor-faktor yang memfasilitasi atau menghambat pelaksanaan kebijakan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa sentralisasi administrasi KTP merupakan kemajuan bagi pemerintah daerah, mengoptimalkan sistem pelayanan populasi, dan memungkinkan perumusan kebijakan lebih lanjut berdasarkan data empiris. Sentralisasi pengelolaan KTP telah memungkinkan Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas penyampaian layanan publik kepada warga. Dengan mengoptimalkan sistem layanan populasi, pemerintah dapat lebih efektif menangani tuntutan masyarakat dan menjamin bahwa kebijakan didasarkan pada data yang akurat dan terkini. Studi ini menekankan pentingnya peningkatan dan inovasi berkelanjutan dalam penyampaian layanan publik untuk kemajuan masyarakat.

Abstract

The use information technology systems in the government aims to manage data and information electronically to make work easier and save time. The implementation of electronic systems is also one way to improve employee perfomance, one example is the use and utilization of E-Kinerja applications. The E-Kinerja application is a platfrom developed by the State Civil Service Agency  in order to supervise, monitor and evaluate the perfomance of state civil servants. The study aims to find out how to optimize and implement the E-Perfomance application system at the Sendana District Office. The menthod used is qualitative descriptive through documentation, observation and interviews. The results of the study show that the presence of the E-Kinerja application is very helpful and makes it easier for employees in the process of making perfomance reports. Although E-Kinerja has been effectively implemented in Sendana District, there are several obstacles faced by employees, including an unstable internet network that slows down Access to the use of applications and nota ll employees can use computer technology. With these obstacles, this study proposes several optimization steps that can be taken. Strengthening the internet connection and increasing the MBPS wifi office, as well as providing regular education and training on the use of computer technology to ASNs to improve their skills and abilities. ABSTRAKPemanfaatan sistem teknologi informasi di pemerintahan bertujuan untuk mengelolah data dan informasi secara elektronik agar mempermudah pekerjaan dan menghemat waktu. Penerapan sistema elektronik juga merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kinerja pegawai, salah satu contohnya seperti penggunaan dan pemanfaatan Aplikasi E-kinerja. Aplikasi e-Kinerja merupakan platfrom yang dikembangkan oleh badan kepegawaian Negara (BKN) guna untuk mengawasi, memantau, dan megevaluasi kinerja pegawai aparatur sipil negara (ASN). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaiman optimalisasi dan penerapan sistem aplikasi E-Kinerja di Kantor Kecamatan Sendana. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualititatif melalui dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan kehadiran aplikasi E-Kinerja sangat membantu dan memudahkan para pegawai dalam proses pembuatan laporan kinerja. Meskipun E-Kinerja sudah diterapkan secara efektiv di Kecamatan Sendana namun ada beberapa kendala yang dihadapi oleh para pegawai di antaranya jaringan internet tidak stabil yang memperlambat akses penggunaan aplikasi dan tidak semua pegawai bisa menggunakan teknologi komputer. Adanya kendala tersebut maka penelitian ini mengusulkan beberapa langkah optimalisasi yang dapat dilakukan. Melakukan penguatan koneksi internet dan menaikkan MBPS wifi kantor , serta memberikan pendidikan dan pelatihan secara rutin tentang penggunaan teknologi komputer kepada para ASN untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan kemampuannya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the financial reporting system is in managing village funds in Belopa District. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation and interview techniques. The subjects of this study were 30 people who were village officials in Senga Selatan Village, Kurrusumanga Village, Pasamai Village, and Balubu Village, namely the Village Head, Village Secretary, and Village Treasurer or Village Finance Officer. This study uses a qualitative approach method. The results of this study indicate that the financial reporting system plays a role in managing village fund finances by carrying out their respective duties according to their responsibilities through one of the processes, namely reporting. Although in administration it has not fully played a role that should be carried out by the village treasurer or finance officer, it is still taken over by the Village Secretary. This is due to the lack of understanding of technology. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana sistem pelaporan keuangan pada pengelolaan dana desa di Kecamatan Belopa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang yang merupakan perangkat desa di Desa Senga Selatan, Desa Kurrusumanga, Desa Pasamai, dan Desa Balubu yaitu Kepala Desa, Sekretaris Desa, dan Bendahara Desa atau Kaur Keuangan Desa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini dilakukan menununjukkan bahwa sistem pelaporan keuangan berperan dalam pengelolaan keuangan dana desa dengan menjalankan tugasnya masing-masing sesuai tanggungjawab melalui salah satu proses yaitu pelaporan. Meskipun dalam penatausahaan belum sepenuhnya berperan yang seharusnya dilakukan oleh bendahara desa atau kaur keuangan namun masih diambil alih oleh Sekretaris desa. Hal ini dikarenakan masih kurangnya pemahaman terhadap teknologi.

Abstract

General elections, also known as “elections”, are important events in the democratic life of a country. The 2024 general election in Indonesia is considered a critical step that requires increased efficiency and integrity. To process and recap vote data, an electronic system called Sistem Rekapitulasi Suara (SIREKAP) is used. However, there are challenges and risks in using SIREKAP. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of the Vote Recapitulation System (SIREKAP) in addressing various issues related to the 2024 General Election. The main focus of this study is on the effectiveness, security, and transparency of SIREKAP amidst the increasing complexity and demands in elections. This research was conducted in a qualitative manner and used a literature study. Data sources include articles, journals, and books related to the research topic. Content analysis was applied to identify patterns, trends and key findings from the data. The results showed that the use of the Vote Recapitulation System (SIREKAP) accelerated the announcement of election results and improved the accuracy of the election process. However, issues such as data security, opacity, and threats to election integrity must be considered. ABSTRAKPemilihan umum, juga dikenal sebagai "pemilu", adalah peristiwa penting dalam kehidupan demokrasi suatu negara.Pemilu 2024 di Indonesia dianggap sebagai langkah penting yang memerlukan peningkatan efisiensi dan integritas.Untuk mengolah dan merekap data suara, sistem elektronik yang disebut Sistem Rekapitulasi Suara (SIREKAP) digunakan. Namun, ada tantangan dan risiko dalam penggunaan SIREKAP. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi penggunaan Sistem Rekapitulasi Suara (SIREKAP) dalam menangani berbagai masalah yang terkait dengan Pemilu 2024. Fokus utama dari penelitian ini adalah pada efektivitas, keamanan, dan transparansi SIREKAP di tengah kompleksitas dan tuntutan yang semakin meningkat dalam pemilu.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara kualitatif dan menggunakan studi literatur. Sumber data meliputi artikel, jurnal, dan buku yang berkaitan dengan topik penelitian. Analisis konten diterapkan untuk mengidentifikasi pola, tren, dan temuan utama dari data tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Sistem Rekapitulasi Suara (SIREKAP) mempercepat pengumuman hasil pemilu dan meningkatkan akurasi proses pemilu. Namun, masalah seperti keamanan data, ketidakjelasan, dan ancaman terhadap integritas pemilu harus diperhatikan.

Abstract

This study discusses the motivation of students in reading procedure text in class II at SMA Negeri 1 Palopo. This research is important because by analyzing students' motivation they can prepare steps to improve students' reading skills. The data analysis technique that the researcher did was descriptive quantitative. Questionnaires were used to collect data. The results showed that there was a significant analysis of student learning motivation. It can be shown that from 36 students in reading procedure text there are 13 students (85%-100%) in the strongly positive category, 17 students (69%-84%) in the positive category, 4 students (53%-68%) in the positive category. moderate, and 2 students (37%-52%) in the negative category.Keywords: Analysis Motivation, Reading Skills.
