Abstract

Menurunnya produksi cabai menyebabkan kelangkaan barang dan tingginya harga, namun pada saat panen raya harga kedua komoditas jatuh, sehingga cabai merupakan komoditas hortikultura penyumbang inflasi ketika permintaan konsumen tinggi seperti Sebelum masuknya Hari Raya, Natal, dan Tahun Baru.. Permasalahan utama pada Masyarakat Kampung Keluarga Berkualitas (KB) Yosodadi, Kota Metro belum memiliki kesadaran dan ilmu pengetahuan yang tinggi dalam pengolahan cabai menjadi aneka produk. Sementara Cabai bertekstur lunak dan berkulit ari tipis, sehingga cepat mengalami pembusukan dan Lama penyimpanan yang relatif pendek. apalagi jika kerusakan secara mekanis dan fisik terjadi. Sehingga memerlukan perawatan pasca panen yang tepat. untuk atasi tingkat penyusutan yang lebih tinggi. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah kegiatan mengedukasi Masyarakat Kampung KB dengan ragam teknologi yang dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan daya tahan penyimpanan cabai dalam berbagai macam bentuk produk olahan cabai. Hasil dari sosialisasi/penyuluhan dan pelatihan menunjukkan antusias dan minat yang tinggi dari peserta selama kegiatan berlangsung. Diversifikasi olahan cabai yang dilakukan berupa cabai bubuk, bon cabai, minyak cabai, saos cabai dan manisan cabai.

Abstract

Yards are generally planted with various types of plants, ranging from high crown plants to low crownplants. However, choosing the wrong types of plants actually makes land use not optimal because notall plants planted can produce. Banana is a commodity that is widely grown around the house and inmixed gardens. The existence of vacant land in the yard of the KWT Rukun Tani member's house, AdiWarno Village, Batang Hari District, East Lampung Regency has the potential to be planted withbananas. Although some members have planted bananas in their yards, their growth and productivityis still low due to limited knowledge and skills in banana cultivation. The purpose of community serviceactivities is to transfer knowledge from tertiary institutions (service teams) to the community (KWTRukun Tani), through counseling activities and banana cultivation demonstration plots for the use ofyard land and increasing the income of KWT members. Based on the activities that have been carriedout, members of KWT Rukun Tani feel that the service activities carried out are very useful becausethey get new knowledge about good and correct banana cultivation. Currently the bananas planted indemonstration plots, in the yard and in the collective garden, are growing very well and some of theplants have started to bear fruit.

Abstract

The rice bug (Leptocorisa oratorius F.) is a serious pest of head rice (Oryza sativa L.). It feeds on the developing kernels of rice, starting from the heading phase when the panicle is exposed from the boot until the end of the ripening phase, which makes it susceptible to indirect yield loss. Multiple insecticide applications are often made during the hard drought growth stage due to high densities of rice bugs that frequently migrate from nearby harvested fields or as a result of eggs laid by subthreshold populations during the first two weeks of heading. The research was conducted at The Food Crops and Horticulture Laboratory Trimurjo, Central Lampung, from August to October 2020, using a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 7 bioinsecticide treatments. The objective of the research was to determine the efficacy of integrating biopesticides B. bassiana and M. anisopliae on rice bug mortality and rice yields. The results showed that rice bug mortality increased by 100% with a lethal period of 72 hours after exposure to B. bassiana 5 g L-1 + M. anisopliae 5 g L-1. Additionally, there was a 19.73% increase in the percentage of rice grain maturity (hard dough) and a reduction of 99.4% in damage (empty grain) compared to the control.

Abstract

Usaha tani ubi kayu merupakan salah satu tanaman pangan strategis yang menunjang pereonomian nasional. Peningkatkan produksi ubi kayu tidak terlepas dari pengelolaan usaha tani secara efektif dan efisien, hal tersebut berdampak pada peningkatan pendapatan yang dipengaruhi oleh indikator HPP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan usaha tani dan harga pokok produksi (HPP) ubi kayu di Provinsi Lampung. Metode analisis penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis pendapatan, R/C Ratio, BEP dan HPP. Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Terusan Nyunyai dan Kecamatan Rumbia di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 271 petani yang terdiri dari 130 petani di Kecamatan Nyunyai dan 141 di Kecamatan Rumbia. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kelayakan usaha tani ubi kayu yang diukur bedasarkan analisis pendapatan diperoleh nilai pendapatan sebesar Rp. 21.640.964,98 per haktar per musim tanam dengan R/C ratio 2,09 dan BEP harga sebesar Rp. 637,31 serta BEP produksi sebanyak 1.0851,83 kg sehingga hasil kelayakan usaha tani ubi kayu layak untuk terus dikembangkan. Kemudian, nilai HPP ubi kayu didapatkan sebesar Rp. 663,33/kg yang artinya petani ubi kayu harus menjual ubi kayu diatas HPP supaya petani ubi kayu mendapatkan keuntungan.

Abstract

Organic fertilizers can improve soil fertility, but the availability of nutrients is generally low due to low nutrient content. So that the response of plants to organic fertilizers will be slower, because organic fertilizers are slow release. Therefore, it is necessary to add fast-release inorganic fertilizers such as Pearl NPK fertilizer to increase plant growth. This study aims to determine: (1) Get the right dose of NPK Mutiara 16-16-16 in increasing the growth and yield of land water spinach, (2) Get the right dose of cow manure to increase the growth and yield of land water spinach, (3) Obtain the interaction between the dose of NPK Mutiara 16-16-16 and the right cow manure in increasing the growth and yield of ground land water spinach plants. The results showed that: The application of NPK Mutiara at various doses showed that the increasing dose of NPK Mutiara fertilizer increased yields, this was clearly seen in the plant height and plant yield per plot with the application of NPK Mutiara at a dose of 300 kg/ha (m3). However, the dose of 20 tons/ha (p2) gave higher yields compared to the dose of 10 tons/ha (p1) in the variables fresh plant weight, fresh canopy weight, yield per plot, and marketable yield. There was no interaction between giving NPK Mutiara 16-16-16 and cow manure fertilizer.

Abstract

Kelompok Penerima Manfaat Program Keluarga Harapan (KPM PKH) di Kelurahan Karangrejo, Metro Utara, Lampung menghadapi tantangan dalam memasarkan produk sayuran mereka akibat keterbatasan keterampilan pemasaran digital dan pengemasan yang kurang menarik. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemasaran dan pengemasan produk sayuran agar lebih kompetitif di pasar. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan pemasaran digital berbasis aplikasi Canva dan pelatihan teknik pengemasan yang lebih efektif. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui wawancara dan diskusi kelompok terfokus, serta kuantitatif dengan mengukur peningkatan penjualan dan jangkauan promosi produk. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan peserta dalam menggunakan pemasaran digital, dengan peningkatan jangkauan promosi di media sosial dan peningkatan penjualan sebesar 35%. Selain itu, terjadi perubahan positif dalam perilaku ekonomi peserta, yang lebih aktif menggunakan media digital untuk mempromosikan produk. Kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan dampak nyata terhadap peningkatan daya saing dan nilai ekonomi produk sayuran di Karangrejo. Untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut, pelatihan lanjutan tentang optimisasi SEO dan penggunaan e-commerce serta peningkatan akses infrastruktur digital menjadi langkah yang disarankan

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted to empower the beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program  (PKH) in Karangrejo, North Metro, Metro City, through digital marketing training using Canva. The  group faced challenges in marketing their agricultural products, such as water spinach, spinach, pakcoy,  and eggplant. These issues were addressed by providing training on using Canva as a tool to design  attractive and effective promotional content, along with an introduction to digital marketing strategies  via social media. The methods employed included participatory approaches, hands-on training, and  assistance in applying marketing strategies. The results of this activity showed a significant improvement  in the participants' skills in utilizing digital technology for promotion, expanded promotional reach on  social media, and a 40% increase in agricultural product sales. Despite challenges in accessing  technology, this program successfully enhanced the economic independence of the beneficiaries. In  conclusion, Canva-based digital marketing training proved to be an effective strategy for improving  marketing capacity and economic income in rural communities. It is hoped that this program can be  replicated in other regions with better technological support. Keywords: digital marketing; canva; vegetable marketing; family hope program; economic  empowerment Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk memberdayakan kelompok penerima manfaat  Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) di Karangrejo, Metro Utara, Kota Metro melalui pelatihan digital  marketing berbasis Canva. Kelompok ini mengalami kendala dalam pemasaran hasil pertanian mereka,  seperti kangkung, bayam, pakcoy, dan terong. Permasalahan ini dipecahkan dengan memberikan  pelatihan penggunaan Canva sebagai alat untuk mendesain konten promosi yang menarik dan efektif,  serta pengenalan strategi pemasaran digital melalui media sosial. Metode yang digunakan meliputi  pendekatan partisipatif, pelatihan langsung, dan pendampingan dalam penerapan strategi pemasaran.  Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan peserta dalam  memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk promosi, jangkauan promosi yang lebih luas di media sosial, serta  peningkatan penjualan produk pertanian sebesar 40%. Meskipun ada tantangan dalam akses teknologi,  program ini berhasil meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi kelompok penerima manfaat. Kesimpulannya,  pelatihan digital marketing berbasis Canva merupakan strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pemasaran dan pendapatan ekonomi kelompok masyarakat di daerah pedesaan. Program ini diharapkan  dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain dengan dukungan teknologi yang lebih baik. Abstract

The practices of tin mining which removing all layers of soil on deposits of minerals caused the seriously environmental problems, i.e degradation of physical and chemical soil, disappearance of vegetation, flora and fauna in ecosystems that changed the microclimate. In the tailings area of tin mining have unstable structure, the content of organic matter is very low, so it is vulnerable to land slides and erosion. The characteristic of tailing area that very acid, low nutrient availability, low water storage and high soil temperature are constraints in the conservation and improvement this area. The aim of this research was found conservation technology to improve the properties of  soil on Tin mining land due to human activities that cause environmental damage both micro and macro so determination of plant species and specific location technology can be done based on characterization and potential evaluation soil resources. Annual crop cultivation and cultivation of legume cover crop (Mucuna sp., Long-lived, Calopogonium sp., Peuraria javanica) and management of top soil and organic matter are a must, in addition to improve soil structure, maintaining soil moisture, as well as to reduce the loss nutrients, as in  textured rough soil (sandy) nutrients in soil are easily washed.Keywords: Characteristic soil, improvement, tailing area, tin mining

Abstract

The Effects of Various Water Table Depths on CO2 Emission at Oil Palm Plantation on West Aceh Peat (EP  Handayani, M van Noordwijk, K Idris,  S Sabiham and S Djuniwati):  Changes in the depth of water table influenced carbon cycling in peatlands, and affected the sources and sinks of carbon dioxide.  The effects of depth of water tables in oil palm plantations on the emission of CO2 were studied. CO2 emissions of peatland were measured in Meulaboh, West Aceh using cylindrical chambers and  air samples from the chambers were analyzed by gas chromatography. Five-point transects perpendicular to drainage canals provided variation in the depth of water tables for the samples. Data from oil palm fields were compared to data from an adjacent swamp forest. The data confirmed that  the increasing depth of water table was accompanied by the increasing in microbial activity that was measured by CO2 emission.  The CO2 emissions from chambers with additional root zones were higher than from bulk soil chambers between one to four times.

Abstract

The cultivation of Red Onions (Allium ascalonicum, L.) in paddy fields needs to be investigated further because paddy fields have constraints on the soil physical and chemical properties, such as soil structure, drainage, pH, and nutrient availability. The application of husk charcoal and K fertilizer is expected to increase the productivity of Red Onions, so it is necessary to study the appropriate dose. The research aimed to determine the effect of the interaction between the application of husk charcoal and KCl fertilizer and the influence of each factor on the growth and yield of Red Onions. The results showed that rice husk charcoal treatment at a dose of 20 Mg ha-1 was effective in increasing the growth and yield of Red Onions compared to rice husk charcoal at a dose of 10 Mg ha-1 and 0 Mg ha-1 (control), as evidenced by the variable shallot plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers per clump, wet tuber weight per clump, and tuber dry weight per clump. KCl fertilizer treatments at doses of 100 kg ha-1, 200 kg ha-1, and 300 kg ha-1 did not significantly affect to growth and yield of Red Onions. There was not interaction between the rice husk charcoal and KCl fertilizer treatments.
