Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work discipline and work stress on employee performance at Budiman Swalayan Pondok. Performance is the result of work carried out by company employees. Work discipline is the attitude of respect and obedience of every employee to the regulations set by the company. While work stress is a condition where employees feel pressured at work. The object of this research was carried out at Budiman Swalayan Pondok. The population and samples used in this study were 53 people with the sampling technique using the saturated sample technique. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with data processing using the SPSS program. The data analysis technique used in this study is based on multiple linear regression analysis. The results obtained based on the partial test show that the variables of work discipline and work stress have no effect on employee performance, and the simultaneous significant test results show that work discipline and work stress together have no effect on employee performance at Budiman Swalayan Pondok. In accordance with the results of an interview with HRD Budiman Swalayan on August 30, 2022, the performance of employees at Budiman Swalayan is considered good. This is because employees carry out company rules well and a good employee recruitment process. ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh disiplin kerja dan stres kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di Budiman Swalayan Pondok. Kinerja merupakan hasil kerja yang dilaksanakan oleh karyawan perusahaan. Disiplin kerja adalah sikap hormat dan patuh setiap karyawan terhadap peraturan yang ditetapkan perusahaan. Sedangkan stres kerja adalah suatu kondisi dimana karyawan memiliki perasaan tertekan dalam bekerja. Objek penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Budiman Swalayan Pondok. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi dan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 53 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan menggunakan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak adanya pengaruh disiplin kerja dan stress kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di Budiman Swalayan Padang baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Hal ini dikarenakan karyawan mematuhi aturan perusahaan serta proses perekrutan karyawan yang baik didukung dengan religius

Abstract

ABSTRACT Entrepreneurial knowledge is important for anyone who is running a business as well as who is going to run a business. One measure of entrepreneurial knowledge is an understanding of the definition of entrepreneurship. The importance of understanding the definition of entrepreneurship because the definition of entrepreneurship provides a basic understanding of the concept, purpose, nature, and type of entrepreneurship. As one of the Private Universities in Padang City, Dharma Andalas University also needs to evaluate the implementation of entrepreneurial education through entrepreneurial knowledge that has been obtained by students in entrepreneurship courses which are compulsory subjects of the University. This study aims to determine the success of entrepreneurial education in providing knowledge about entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs from a definition perspective. This research uses qualitative methods. The selected informants are Dharma Andalas university students from all Study Programs who have participated in the Entrepreneurship course by selection through quota sampling. Data collection techniques using unstructured interviews are then analyzed using a coding process. From the results of the analysis, it is known that students' understanding of entrepreneurship is still not good. Keyword: Entrepreneurship; Understanding of Entrepreneurship; Entrepreneurial education ABSTRAK Pengetahuan kewirausahaan penting bagi siapa saja yang sedang menjalankan bisnis maupun yang akan menjalankan bisnis. Salah satu ukuran tentang pengetahuan kewirausahaan adalah pemahaman tentang definisi kewirausahaan. Pentingnya memahami definisi kewirausahaan karena definisi kewirausahaan memberikan pemahaman dasar tentang konsep, tujuan, sifat, dan jenis wirausaha. Sebagai salah satu Perguruan Tinggi Swasta di Kota Padang, Universitas Dharma Andalas juga perlu melakukan evaluasi pelaksanaan entrepreneurial education melalui pengetahuan kewirausahaan yang telah diperoleh mahasiswa dalam matakuliah kewirausahaan yang menjadi mata kuliah wajib Universitas tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberhasilan entrepreneurial education dalam memberikan pengetahuan tentang kewirausahaan dan pengusaha dari pespektif definisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Informan yang dipilih adalah mahasiswa universitas Dharma Andalas dari semua Program Studi yang telah mengikuti matakuliah Kewirausahaan dengan pemilihan melalui quota sampling. Teknik pengambilan data dengan menggunakan wawancara tidak terstrukturyang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan proses coding. Abstract

Higher education institutions, as advanced learning providers, require all students to keep up with technological developments and apply them in online learning. There are many challenges faced by both lecturers and students, ranging from supporting electronic devices, signal strength, data quotas, to students' skills in utilizing technology for learning. Initially, they were not prepared, but now they must be ready for online learning. A random sample of 200 respondents from the undergraduate Management program at Dharma Andalas University provided results showing that the Attitude Towards The Behaviour variable has the strongest influence on the Intention variable, followed by Subjective Norms, and then Perceived Behavioral Controls. So far, students' readiness for online learning is quite good, and they even hope that the campus continues online learning, but with the inclusion of face-to-face learning. ABSTRAK Perguruan tinggi sebagai pembelajaran lanjutan mewajibkan seluruh mahasiswa untuk mengikuti perkembangan teknologi dan menerapkannya dalam pembelajaran daring ini. Banyak kendala yang dihadapi oleh dosen dan mahasiswa mulai dari perangkat elektronik yang mendukung, sinyal, kuota dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan teknologi untuk pembelajaran. Pada awalnya mereka tidak siap namun hingga sekarang mereka harus siap untuk pembelajaran daring. Sampel yang dipilih secara acak sejumlah 200 responden mahasiswa program studi S1 Manajemen Universitas Dharma Andalas yang memberikan hasil bahwa variabel Attitude Towards The Behaviour mempengaruhi variabel Intention paling kuat, selanjutnya Subjective Norms dan selanjutnya Perceived Behavioural Controls. Sejauh ini kesiapan mahasiswa untuk melakukan pembelajaran daring adalah cukup baik dan bahkan mereka berharap kampus tetap melakukan pembelajaran daring, namun tetap ada pembelajaran tatap muka.

Abstract

Remote working is a work model where employees work outside the company's physical office and not always from home as well as WFH and not always within specified working hours like WFH. In Indonesia, remote working is still very rare. Generally, participants imagine remote working like when they did WFH during Covid-19. This study aims to determine employee perceptions of remote working implementation; This study was conducted using qualitative methods using 35 participants from various generations (X, Y and Z) and various types of work. The results showed that the main perception of participants about remote working is flexible, but requires equipment that supports in terms of information and communication technology. All genders, generations and types of work can be said to have the same perception of remote working related to flexible and equipment needs There are several different focuses in perceiving remote working when viewed from gender differences, generation differences and differences in the type of work. Abstrak Remote working merupakan sebuah model kerja dimana karyawan bekerja di luar kantor fisik perusahaan dan tidak selalu dari rumah seperti halnya WFH serta tidak selalu dalam waktu jam kerja yang ditentukan seperti layaknya WFH. Di Indonesia remote working masih sangat jarang dilakukan. Umumnya partisipan membayangkan remote working seperti saat mereka melakukan WFH pada saat Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi karyawan terhadap pelaksanaan remote working; Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan partisipan sebanyak 35 orang dari berbagai generasi (X, Y dan Z) dan berbagai tipe pekerjaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi utama partisipan tentang remote working adalah fleksibel,namun membutuhkan perlengkapan yang menunjang dalam hal teknologi informasi dan komunikasi.. Semua jenis kelamin, generasi dan jenis pekerjaan bisa dikatakan memiliki persepsi yang sama tentang remote working terkait dengan fleksibel dan kebutuhan perlengkapan ini Terdapat beberapa focus yang berbeda dalam mempersepsikan remote working bila ditinjau dari perbedaan jenis kelamin, perbedaan generasi dan perbedaan jenis pekerjaan

Abstract

Entrepreneurship contributes to a country's economy because it can open up employment opportunities. Vocational schools are one of the important places in producing entrepreneurs. Several previous research results show the low interest in entrepreneurship among vocational school students, and it even appears that entrepreneurship is not an option for them after graduating. This research aims to examine the influence of entrepreneurial knowledge, entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial outcome expectations on entrepreneurial interest. This research was carried out using quantitative methods. The research was conducted at SMK N 8 Padang with 157 students as respondents. By using SEM-PLS, the research results show that there is a positive and significant influence of entrepreneurial self-efficacy on entrepreneurial outcome expectations. Entrepreneurial outcome expectations do not mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial interest. Abstrak Entrepreneurship atau kewirausahaan berkontribusi pada perekonomian suatu negara karena dapat membuka lapangan kerja. SMK merupakan salah satu tempat yang penting dalam menghasilkan wirausahawan. Beberapa hasil penelitian terdahulu memperlihatkan rendahnya minat berwirausaha yang dimiliki oleh murid-murid SMK, bahkan terlihat bahwa berwirausaha bukan menjadi pilihan mereka setelah lulus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh entrepreneurial knowledge, entrepreneurial self efficacy dan entrepreneurial outcome expectation terhadap entrepreneurial interest. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di SMK N 8 Padang dengan responden sebanyak 157 siswa. Dengan menggunakan SEM-PLS, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan entrepreneurial self efficacy terhadap entrepreneurial outcome expectation. Entrepreneurial outcome expectation tidak memediasi hubungan antara entrepreneurial self efficacy dan entrepreneurial interest.

Abstract

Technological developments, the use of smartphones and internet access provide innovation in marketing activities. Entrepreneurs have new strategies in marketing the goods they produce which were originally marketed offline and can then be marketed online. Online marketing is one of the digital marketing strategies. Digital marketing activities are an important point in entrepreneurship promotion activities, considering that all forms of activity, especially in the business sector, have gone through the digitalization stage, so understanding in the digital marketing process must be improved so that they are not left behind and goals can continue to be achieved. The use of digital marketing is needed to improve the entrepreneurial marketing skills of students at SMA 7 Padang, SMK 4 Padang, and SMA 3 Tebo, so that students can implement digital marketing and be able to increase their business potential. Digital marketing involves starting from content creation, placing online advertisements, website optimization, email marketing, relations with online media, to becoming a social media admin. One application of digital marketing in business is content creation. This activity provides guidance regarding digital marketing strategies using content creation methods via social media platforms.

Abstract

Academic performance refers to an individual's learning outcomes expressed in quantitative form during their education, serving as evidence that they have fulfilled their duties and responsibilities (Lestari, 2019). To achieve satisfactory academic performance, students are required to engage in learning activities, develop their mindset, and actively participate in the learning process at university. Academic performance is influenced by both internal and external factors. According to Fitri (2019), students' behavior in using social media during lectures includes not paying attention to the material being taught, resulting in an inability to answer questions related to the subject matter. Some students even choose to sit in less visible areas, such as the back or the middle of the classroom, to use their phones during lectures. However, if social media and the internet are used appropriately, deviant learning behaviors can be corrected, ensuring that students still achieve satisfactory learning outcomes.This issue is also observed at Dharma Andalas University, where students are becoming increasingly dependent on social media in their studies. Based on a sample of 144 undergraduate management students in their 5th and 7th semesters, it was found that social media overload has a significant impact on academic performance. Abstrak Performa akademik yaitu hasil belajar seseorang yang dinyatakan dalam bentuk kuantitatif selama menempuh pendidikan, sebagai bukti bahwa seseorang telah melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya (Lestari, 2019). Untuk mendapatkan performa akademik yang memuaskan, setiap mahasiswa dituntut untuk melakukan kegiatan belajar, mengembangkan pola pikir dan menjalankan proses pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi. performa akademik dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal. Menurut Fitri, (2019) perilaku mahasiswa dalam menggunakan media sosial saat mengikuti perkuliahan dalam kelas adalah tidak memperhatikan materi yang diajarkan sehingga tidak mampu menjawab pertanyaan terkait materi yang sedang diajarkan. Bahkan mahasiswa mencari tempat duduk yang sedikit tersembunyi dari perhatian dosen yaitu di bagian belakang atau di bagian paling tengah, sehingga dapat membuka handphone saat perkuliahan berlangsung. Namun jika penggunaan media sosial dan internet tidak disalah gunakan oleh mahasiswa, maka perilaku belajar yang sudah menyimpang dapat diluruskan sehingga hasil belajar yang diperoleh pun tetap memuaskan. Sebagaimana di Universitas Dharma Andalas mengenai perilaku mahasiswa dalam belajar yang mulai ketergantungan dengan sosial media. Dari 144 sampel mahasiswa prodi S1 Manajemen semester 5 dan semester 7 diperoleh bahwa adanya pengaruh signifikan social media overload terhadap performa akademik.

Abstract

Remote working is a work model where employees work outside the company's physical office and not always from home like WFH (Work From Home) and not always within the predetermined working hours like WFH. Many studies have linked remote working to work-life balance. The results of the research conducted by the researcher himself also show that out of 35 employees in Indonesia interviewed, 71.43% stated that remote working can achieve work-life balance for them, 14.29% rejected the statement that remote working facilitates the achievement of work-life balance, and 14.29% said that work-life balance can only sometimes be achieved through remote working. The purposes of this research are: (1) To find out the efforts of remote working to achieve work-life balance; (2) To find out the policies that remote workers expect companies to implement to achieve work-life balance. This study uses a qualitative method by interviewing 8 participants. The analysis shows that the main efforts made are time management, such as creating a work schedule routine, working from home, creating a to-do list, and discussing household tasks with their partner. Meanwhile, the policies they expect are work arrangements so that work will be effective and efficient, flexibility in scheduling meetings and deadlines, but still wanting discipline. Banyak penelitian-penelitian yang mengaitkan kegiatan remote working dengan work lifa balance. Hasil penelitian yang peneliti lakukan sendiri juga memperlihatkan bahwa dari 35 karyawan di Indonesia yang diwawancara, 71,43% menjawab bahwa remote working dapat mencapai work life balance bagi mereka, 14,29% menolak pernyataan tentang remote working mempermudah tercapainya work lifa balance dan 14,29% yang menjawab work life balance hanya kadang-kadang saja dapat terwujud melalui remote working. tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui upaya remote working untuk mencapai work life balance; (2) Untuk mengetahui kebijakan yang diharapkan remote worker untuk diterapkan perusahaan agar tercapai work life balance. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan mewawancarai 8 orang partisipan. Dari hasil analisis diketahui bahwa upaya yang dilakukan yang utama adalah dengan management waktu seperti membuat rutinitas jadwal kerja, bekerja dari rumah, selain itu mereka juga membuat list pekerjaan yang harus dilakukan dan berdiskusi dengan pasangan adalam pengaturan tugas rumah tangga. Sementara itu kebijakan yang mereka harapkan adalah pengaturan kerja sehingga pekerjaan akan efektif dan efisien, fleksibel dalam menetapkan jadwal rapat dan tenggat waktu namun tetap menginginkan disiplin waktu.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of leadership style, knowledge management and skills on the performance of police members of the West Sumatra Regional Police General Criminal Investigation Directorate. Leadership Style is behavior and strategy as a result of a combination of philosophies, skills, traits and attitudes that a leader often applies as he tries to influence the satisfaction of his subordinates. Knowledge Management is information about a particular field by a person. Therefore, Knowledge Management can be developed through formal and informal education. Skills are the capacity needed to carry out several tasks which are the development of the training results and experience gained. In addition to the training needed to develop skills, skills also require basic skills (basic obility) to do work easily and appropriately. Performance is a means of managing an agency that aims to achieve decision-making and accountability. The object of this research was carried out at the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the West Sumatra Police. The method used in this study is a quantitative method, the number of population and the number of samples in this study are all members of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the West Sumatra Police totaling 60 people with sampling techniques using saturated sampling techniques (census). The data collection method uses the observation method and the distribution of questionnaires with Likert scale measurements. The data analysis techniques in this study are research instrument tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis tests using the SPSS version 22 program. The results of hypothesis testing in this study show that 1) leadership style partially has a positive and significant effect on performance, 2) knowledge management partially has a positive and significant effect on performance, 3) skills simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on performance, 4) leadership style, knowledge management, and skills simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of supervision, incentives and work professionalism on work discipline of health workers at the Nanggalo Siteba Health Center, Padang City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a saturated/census sampling method of 60 health workers. Data analysis techniques in this study are research instrument testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing using the SPSS version 30 program. The results of hypothesis testing in this study indicate that 1) supervision partially has a positive and significant effect on work discipline, 2) incentives partially has a positive and significant effect on work discipline, 3) work professionalism has a positive and significant effect on work discipline, 4) supervision, incentives and work professionalism simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on work discipline.
