Abstract

This study aims to describe Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning conditions, analyze the use of the natural environment as a learning resource, and design and test an integrative IRE learning model at SDIT Alam Nurul Islam 2 Ngawi. The study employed mixed methods within a modified Borg and Gall Research and Development design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings show that initial learning was dominated by lectures and memorization and had not optimized the natural environment. The INSPIRASI model comprises three phases: classroom concept exploration, nature-based exploration and spiritual reflection, and action with value internalization. Its application increased cognitive scores from 65.2 to 82.7, religious attitude scores from 70.1 to 85.4, and character behavior scores from 68.8 to 83.9. A paired-sample t-test for the cognitive domain yielded t = 8.45 and p < .001. The model effectively strengthened students' understanding, religious attitudes, environmental awareness, and Islamic character.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah faces the challenges of digital disruption, radicalism, and generational shifts. This article analyzes the existence of Muhammadiyah through the integration of ideological belief, socio-cultural transformation, and leadership management systems. The method employed is a qualitative descriptive-analytical literature study, drawing on sources from journals, books, official documents, and digital platforms. Data analysis adapts the model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The main findings indicate that Muhammadiyah’s resilience is rooted in three dimensions: (1) theological belief that integrates faith, tajdīd, rationality, moderation, and social justice; (2) cultural transformation through the negotiation of purification with local wisdom, character education, the theology of Al-Ma’un, ecology, and ethical technology; and (3) collegial leadership management based on deliberation, cadre formation, autonomy, and professionalism. The contribution of this article lies in demonstrating that Muhammadiyah’s existence does not rely solely on its charitable enterprises, but also on an adaptive system of values and organization. In conclusion, Muhammadiyah remains existent by connecting these three dimensions; however, digital challenges and generational change require continuous strategic renewal. Future research should examine the empirical implementation of digitalization within Muhammadiyah’s charitable enterprises.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman jamaah Masjid Jami’ H. Ismail Desa Mlideg terhadap arti dan makna bacaan sholat melalui pelatihan terjemah. Program ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi jamaah yang telah terbiasa melafalkan bacaan sholat, tetapi belum seluruhnya memahami kandungan makna dari bacaan yang digunakan dalam ibadah sehari-hari. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan edukatif-partisipatif melalui sosialisasi, penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, latihan memahami terjemah bacaan sholat, praktik pemaknaan bacaan, evaluasi, dan refleksi bersama jamaah. Materi pelatihan mencakup bacaan takbir, doa iftitah, surah Al-Fatihah, rukuk, iktidal, sujud, duduk di antara dua sujud, tasyahud, hingga salam. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa jamaah mulai memahami bahwa bacaan sholat memuat doa, pujian, permohonan ampun, pengakuan kelemahan diri, dan bentuk penghambaan kepada Allah. Jamaah juga menunjukkan keterlibatan dalam diskusi, tanya jawab, latihan, praktik pemaknaan, dan refleksi. Kegiatan ini membantu jamaah lebih menyadari hubungan antara bacaan, gerakan, dan kekhusyukan dalam sholat. Program ini disimpulkan bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan penghayatan jamaah terhadap bacaan sholat serta memperkuat fungsi masjid sebagai ruang pembinaan ibadah. Keberlanjutan program direkomendasikan melalui kajian rutin, pendampingan bertahap, latihan muraja’ah, dan bahan bacaan praktis. This community service activity aimed to improve the understanding of the congregation of Jami’ H. Ismail Mosque in Mlideg Village regarding the meaning and significance of prayer recitations through translation training. The program was motivated by the condition of the congregation, who were accustomed to reciting the prayers in salat but had not fully understood the meanings contained in the recitations used in daily worship. The implementation method employed an educational-participatory approach through socialization, material delivery, interactive discussion, exercises in understanding the translation of prayer recitations, practice in interpreting the recitations, evaluation, and collective reflection with the congregation. The training materials covered the recitations of takbir, the opening supplication, Surah Al-Fatihah, bowing, standing after bowing, prostration, sitting between two prostrations, tashahhud, and salutation. The results of the activity showed that the congregation began to understand that prayer recitations contain supplications, praises, requests for forgiveness, acknowledgment of human weakness, and expressions of servitude to Allah. The congregation also demonstrated active involvement in discussions, question-and-answer sessions, exercises, interpretation practice, and reflection. This activity helped the congregation become more aware of the relationship between recitation, movement, and solemnity in prayer. The program is concluded to be beneficial in improving the congregation’s understanding and appreciation of prayer recitations, as well as strengthening the role of the mosque as a space for worship development. Program sustainability is recommended through regular religious study sessions, gradual mentoring, muraja’ah practice, and practical reading materials.

Abstract

Krisis sampah plastik dan rendahnya kepedulian terhadap lingkungan menjadi tantangan serius di dunia pendidikan, termasuk di madrasah. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menginternalisasi nilai-nilai ekoteologi berbasis Islam melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan pengelolaan sampah dalam rangka membangun Islamic Green School di MI Muhammadiyah 7 Kenep, Bojonegoro. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan edukatif partisipatif yang menekankan pada keterlibatan aktif seluruh warga sekolah (guru, siswa, dan staf) mulai dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi kegiatan. Kegiatan meliputi tiga tahap: persiapan (survei dan identifikasi masalah), pelaksanaan (pelatihan ekoteologi Islam, pendampingan teknis pengelolaan sampah organik menjadi eco-enzyme dan kompos, serta praktik pemilahan dan bank sampah sekolah), dan evaluasi. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman ekoteologi Islam dari 20% (pre-test) menjadi 86,7% (post-test), peningkatan kepatuhan pemilahan sampah dari 0% menjadi 78%, serta pengelolaan rata-rata 28,5 kg sampah per minggu menjadi produk bernilai guna. Faktor pendukung meliputi komitmen kepala madrasah, antusiasme siswa, dan dukungan komite sekolah. Program ini berdampak pada terbentuknya budaya bersih, sehat, dan berkelanjutan berbasis nilai spiritual Islam di lingkungan madrasah. The plastic waste crisis and the lack of active environmental concern pose serious challenges in education, including in madrasahs. This community service program aims to internalize Islam-based ecotheological values through training and assistance in waste management to build an Islamic Green School at MI Muhammadiyah 7 Kenep, Bojonegoro. The method used is a participatory educational approach that emphasizes the active involvement of all school members (teachers, students, and staff) from the planning and implementation stages through to the evaluation of activities. The activities comprised three stages: preparation (survey and problem identification), implementation (Islamic ecotheology training, technical assistance in processing organic waste into eco-enzyme and compost, as well as waste sorting practices and a school waste bank), and evaluation. The results showed an increase in understanding of Islamic ecotheology from 20% (pre-test) to 86.7% (post-test), an increase in waste sorting compliance from 0% to 78%, and the management of an average of 28.5 kg of waste per week into valuable products. Supporting factors included the principal's commitment, student enthusiasm, and school committee support. This program has led to the formation of a clean, healthy, and sustainable culture based on Islamic spiritual values within the madrasah environment.
