Abstract

Providing stimulation according to the stages of development in early childhood is an effective approach to enhancing various aspects of growth, including creativity. Creativity can be nurtured through activities designed by teachers, such as collage-making and painting using eggshells. This study aims to analyze creativity in early childhood through collage and painting activities using eggshells at TK Islam Bani Usman Manunggal. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, which researchers provide observation for eight students in the class, interview one teacher to get her perspective and documentation to obtained the data. The result shows that the creativity of students appear when they explored themselves in activities using eggshells and also painting it. Therefore, the researcher hopes that the findings of this study can assist teachers in fostering creativity and fine motor skills in early childhood through painting and collage activities using eggshells.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve the concentration ability of 5–6-year-old children through sensory play activities at PAUD Permata Ibu. The problem addressed in this study was the low ability of children to maintain focus during learning activities. The research was conducted in two cycles: Cycle I utilized water-based media, and Cycle II used bead-based media. The research subjects consisted of 12 children in group B. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in children’s concentration, increasing from an average of 66.5% in Cycle I to 95.7% in Cycle II. The study concludes that sensory play is proven to be an effective strategy to enhance concentration in early childhood, particularly when implemented gradually and in an enjoyable manner.

Abstract

Anak usia dini adalah individu yang sedang mengalami proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang sangat pesat yang disebut dengan masa golden age, maka dari itu pendidikan anak usia dini merupakan tahap penting dalam meningkatkan perkembangan bahasa termasuk peningkatan kosa kata bahasa Inggris. Salah satu metode yang dapat meningkatkan kosa kata bahasa Inggris pada anak usia ini adalah melalui metode storytelling menggunakan media boneka jari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh story telling menggunakan media boneka jari terhadap perkembangan bahasa Inggris pada anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian quasi-experiment. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah teknik observasi, data hasil observasi yang terkumpul dianalisis dan diolah secara statistik dengan cara membandingkan skor pretes dan posttes pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di TK Islam Nurunnajah dengan jumlah sampel 10 anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh metode storytelling dengan media boneka jari merupakan salah satu metode dan media yang dapat meningkatkan perkembangan bahasa Inggris pada anak usia dini.
