Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the management of character education at Universitas Doktor Nugroho Magetan and Instituto Politécnico de Betano Timor Leste, focusing on policies, implementation practices, challenges, student perceptions, and recommendations to improve its effectiveness. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with university leaders, lecturers, and students, participant observation, and documentation of character education policies and programs at both universities. Data analysis was carried out thematically with an inductive approach to explore the main themes related to character education management. The results of the study show that both universities have implemented a structured character education policy, although with different approaches. Universitas Doktor Nugroho Magetan integrates character education into the academic curriculum through ethics and morals courses, while Instituto Politécnico de Betano focuses more on developing social character and leadership through extracurricular activities and community service. The practice of implementing character education is running well in both universities, although there are differences in its implementation. The main challenges faced are limited resources, difficulties in aligning perceptions about the importance of character education, and less active student involvement. Nevertheless, most students have a positive perception of the character education they receive.

Abstract

This article is a compilation of the author's outreach to fellow lecturers regarding tips on how to avoid predatory journals. The lecturers involved in this outreach came from several universities especially Muhammadiyah University of Makassar Indonesia, Doktor Nugroho University of Magetan Indonesia, Doktor Nugroho University of Magetan Indonesia and Antasari State Islamic University of Banjarmasin Indonesia. The author sincerely hopes that after this outreach, all lecturers targeted in this article will be able to choose higher-quality journals and avoid predatory journals, which have the various characteristics explicitly and comprehensively outlined above. By avoiding predatory journals, the author believes the quality of lecturers' research will continue to improve in the coming periods

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan Augmented Reality (AR) dalam pembelajaran PKn untuk meningkatkan pemahaman nilai-nilai kewarganegaraan siswa sekolah dasar. Menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR), penelitian ini mengkaji 15 artikel ilmiah internasional yang dipublikasikan antara tahun 2020-2024. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa implementasi AR dalam pembelajaran PKn memberikan dampak positif signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar dan pemahaman siswa. Peningkatan motivasi belajar tercatat mencapai 22,8%, sementara tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran berbasis AR mencapai 92,3%. Teknologi AR terbukti efektif dalam memvisualisasikan konsep-konsep abstrak kewarganegaraan menjadi lebih konkret dan mudah dipahami. Tantangan utama dalam implementasi meliputi kebutuhan pengembangan profesional guru dan infrastruktur teknologi yang memadai. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dan praktis dalam pengembangan pembelajaran PKn berbasis teknologi di era digital.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of digital technology in improving students' motivation and learning achievement in social studies subjects at primary schools in Indonesia. Using a mixed methods approach, this study analyzed secondary data from 15 primary schools with a total of 115 students. The results of the analysis showed an increase in student motivation scores from 2.3 to 3.1, as well as an increase in academic scores from 67.8 to 79.3 after the implementation of digital tools in learning. Based on the SAMR and TPACK frameworks, the majority of schools are still at the Substitution and Augmentation stages. The use of apps such as Canva, Kahoot and Google Earth proved effective in increasing students' engagement and understanding of the material. In addition, the increase in learning motivation can be explained through the ARCS model that emphasizes aspects of attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction. Therefore, this study recommends a phased implementation strategy, continuous teacher training, curriculum flexibility, as well as the development of an assessment system that supports inclusive and sustainable digital learning.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education demands the reinforcement of character values, including digital citizenship, from the early stages of schooling. This study aims to analyze how Civic and Pancasila Education (PPKn) can serve as a medium to strengthen digital citizenship values through the use of technology. The method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, teacher interviews, and documentation of learning activities in two elementary schools in Magetan Regency. The resulting data were analyzed descriptively. The findings indicate that PPKn teachers are able to utilize interactive digital media such as Canva, Padlet, and Google Classroom to instill values of integrity, digital responsibility, and media ethics. However, challenges remain in terms of digital literacy and limited access to devices, which can be addressed through teacher training and school policy support. This study recommends strengthening teachers' digital pedagogical capacity and systematically integrating digital citizenship values into the curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of project-based learning (PjBL) integrated with arts on the socio-emotional development and creativity of early childhood. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach, involving 28 Group B children at TK Angkasa, Magetan Regency. The intervention was implemented in five PjBL stages: project introduction, collaborative planning, implementation of art activities (drawing, collage, and loose parts installation), project presentation, and reflection. The observation sheet was used as the main instrument, and data were analyzed using the Paired Sample t-Test with SPSS version 26. The results showed a significant increase in socio-emotional scores (from 11.86 to 15.43) and creativity (from 12.14 to 16.07), with a significance value of p < 0.05. Qualitative findings also indicated that children actively participated, collaborated effectively, and expressed themselves creatively. These findings suggest that art-based PjBL is effective in developing young children’s social skills and creativity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model Game-Based Learning (GBL) berbantuan Quizizz Artificial Intelligence (QAI) dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahap: analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, wawancara, observasi, dan tes, sedangkan analisis dilakukan dengan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Model yang dikembangkan mengintegrasikan unsur gamifikasi dan kecerdasan buatan ke dalam delapan tahap pembelajaran yang dirancang untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar yang adaptif dan interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model GBL berbantuan QAI mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar IPS siswa secara signifikan. Fitur kecerdasan buatan pada Quizizz memungkinkan penyesuaian tingkat kesulitan soal secara otomatis, memberikan umpan balik secara real-time, serta meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Guru dan siswa memberikan respons positif, menilai model ini lebih menarik dan efektif dibandingkan metode konvensional. Model ini juga berpotensi direplikasi pada mata pelajaran lain guna mendukung inovasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi Augmented Reality dalam pendidikan dasar membuka peluang integrasi kearifan lokal untuk meningkatkan literasi sosial siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas media Augmented Reality berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap peningkatan literasi sosial siswa sekolah dasar melalui tinjauan sistematis literatur. Metode Systematic Literature Review dengan pedoman PRISMA 2020 digunakan untuk menganalisis 25 artikel dari database Google Scholar, Scopus, ERIC, Garuda, dan DOAJ periode 2019-2024. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan campuran yang mengintegrasikan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, analisis tematik kualitatif, dan visualisasi bibliometrik dengan VOSviewer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tren publikasi meningkat signifikan pada tahun 2024 mencapai 68%, didominasi oleh konteks Indonesia dengan metodologi Research and Development model ADDIE. Media Augmented Reality berbasis kearifan lokal terbukti efektif meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi mencapai 87,50%, kolaborasi 96%, dan apresiasi budaya lokal dengan skor 3,137 dari skala 4,0. Integrasi kearifan lokal menciptakan pembelajaran bermakna yang meningkatkan motivasi belajar 92% dan memfasilitasi pengembangan karakter sesuai profil pelajar Pancasila. Tantangan implementasi meliputi keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi dan kompetensi digital guru, sementara faktor pendukung mencakup validasi ahli tinggi dan desain user-friendly. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis tentang integrasi teknologi dan budaya dalam pendidikan serta rekomendasi praktis bagi pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality di sekolah dasar Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki fenomena cyberbullying di lingkungan sekolah, terutama pada tingkat pendidikan Sekolah Dasar (SD) dan Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP), serta platform digital utama yang terlibat, dengan fokus pada pemahaman dampaknya pada generasi muda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui survei yang melibatkan siswa dari berbagai sekolah di Indonesia sebagai subjek penelitian. Hasil survei dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi temuan signifikan terkait cyberbullying di kalangan generasi muda. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa cyberbullying merupakan masalah serius dengan dampak fisik, psikologis, dan potensi kematian, terutama di platform media sosial seperti Instagram, Facebook, dan Snapchat. Generasi muda, terutama milenial dan generasi Z, rentan terhadap perundungan siber ini, menegaskan perlunya pendidikan etika digital yang dimulai sejak dini. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya meningkatkan kesadaran dan tindakan preventif di lingkungan pendidikan dan masyarakat untuk menciptakan lingkungan online yang lebih aman dan mendukung bagi anak-remaja. Dalam mengatasi dampak cyberbullying, pendekatan holistik yang mengintegrasikan berbagai teori penting seperti Teori Social Cognitive, konsep ketahanan, pola asuh responsif dan otoritatif, serta Teori Perkembangan menjadi strategi efektif dalam membantu anak-remaja menghadapi tantangan dunia digital yang terus berkembang.

Abstract

The issue of educational access inequality in remote areas remains a pressing challenge in achieving equitable development, particularly in developing countries. This study examines the root causes, implications, and potential solutions to educational access disparities in remote regions through a qualitative approach, utilizing literature review and library research methods. The research highlights the multifaceted nature of this gap, which is influenced by geographical barriers, inadequate infrastructure, limited teacher availability, and socioeconomic factors. Furthermore, the analysis underscores the interplay between ineffective policy implementation and insufficient funding allocations as key contributors to the persistent challenges. By synthesizing findings from relevant academic works, governmental reports, and international case studies, this article identifies promising alternative solutions, such as community-based education initiatives, digital learning platforms, and public-private partnerships. These approaches have demonstrated success in bridging educational gaps in other contexts and hold potential for adaptation in remote areas. The study concludes by proposing a comprehensive policy framework emphasizing inclusive and sustainable solutions tailored to local needs. It calls for greater collaboration among policymakers, educational institutions, and local communities to foster equitable access to quality education. This research contributes to the discourse on education equity by offering actionable insights and alternative strategies for mitigating access disparities, ultimately supporting efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education for All.
