Abstract

People with mental disabilities, especially people with mental disorders (ODGJ) and individuals with Down Syndrome, face significant challenges in their daily lives. This journal explores the main problems they face. The purpose of this community service activity is to identify problems and solutions that must be taken for people with mental disabilities. The empowerment method used in this community service activity is the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method. This journal proposes several strategic efforts to overcome these problems. Increasing public awareness through education and counseling can help reduce stigma. Strengthening mental health services by increasing access and quality of services is essential. Support for inclusive education and vocational training for people with mental disabilities can improve their skills and job opportunities. Psychosocial support and family training are also very important to help care for family members with mental disabilities. Collaboration with various parties is also needed to create an inclusive and supportive environment for people with mental disabilities. They can live better and have equal opportunities to contribute to society through the right solutions.

Abstract

This article discusses the dynamics of the formation and implementation of the Pornography Law in Indonesia within the context of legal politics. The law, which was enacted in 2008, went through a lengthy process that began in 1997 and faced opposition from various groups, including local communities with diverse cultural backgrounds. A major challenge in its implementation is the misalignment with local cultural values, as well as the broad and ambiguous definition of pornography, which complicates law enforcement—particularly in the digital era. The type of research used is normative legal research, which includes the study of legislation, comparative law, and legal history. This article concludes that in order to ensure effective implementation, the Pornography Law must be adjusted to accommodate cultural diversity and evolving societal developments, rather than relying heavily on other regulations such as the ITE Law, the TPKS Law, and the Criminal Code (KUHP). In addition, collaboration between the government, society, and legal institutions is essential.

Abstract

Kebersihan merupakan salah satu unsur terpenting dalam agama Islam, yang berfungsi sebagai syarat dan rukun sah untuk menjalankan ibadah. Selain itu, kebersihan juga memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan kesehatan di lingkungan sekitar. Dalam rangka meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya kebersihan, pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan fokus pada Masjid Al Hikmah di Desa Gamping, Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Penulis melibatkan warga setempat dan mengajak mereka untuk berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan kerja bakti di masjid. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), yang memungkinkan partisipasi aktif dari masyarakat dalam setiap tahap kegiatan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa kebersihan di lingkungan Masjid Al Hikmah semakin terjaga dan terawat setelah kegiatan dilakukan secara bersama-sama dengan para warga. Kegiatan ini meningkatkan kebersihan masjid, dan mempererat hubungan antarwarga dan menumbuhkan rasa kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Penulis merasa senang dan bangga dapat melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian ini, karena manfaat yang diberikan dapat dirasakan langsung oleh masyarakat, serta meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan sebagai bagian dari ibadah dan kesehatan

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance awareness and active participation of the academic community at Sunan Giri University Surabaya in creating a clean, healthy, and sustainable campus environment through collective collaboration. The program was conducted from November to December 2025 by transforming unused vacant land within the campus area. The Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach was employed, emphasizing the utilization of internal assets such as human resources, social capital, and physical environmental potential. Activities included socialization sessions, collective clean-up actions, reuse of waste materials, planting of ornamental and food crops, and strengthening solidarity through collaborative activities. The results indicate increased collective awareness of environmental cleanliness, strengthened shared responsibility, and the creation of green campus spaces that support a conducive learning environment. This program demonstrates a sustainable community engagement model that positions the campus as a living laboratory grounded in collaboration and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the regulation of marriage dispensation in Indonesian positive law, examine the concept of marriage dispensation from the perspective of Islamic law, and provide a critical analysis of its judicial practices following the amendment of the Marriage Law. This research is a normative legal study employing statutory and conceptual approaches. Legal materials were collected through library research and analyzed qualitatively using a descriptive-analytical method. The findings indicate that, normatively, the regulation of marriage dispensation in Indonesia has been designed as an exceptional legal instrument aimed at protecting children. However, in practice, there remains a tendency for judges to grant dispensations flexibly, often based on sociological considerations rather than the principle of the best interests of the child. From the perspective of Islamic law, although the term “marriage dispensation” is not explicitly recognized, its conceptual basis can be understood through the principles of maqashid al-shariah, which emphasize public welfare (maslahah) and the prevention of harm (mafsadah). This study concludes that a reconstruction of the concept of marriage dispensation is necessary by integrating positive law and maqashid al-shariah to ensure stronger child protection and long-term welfare.
