Abstract

Bahasa Arab memiliki peranan yang sangat penting dalam memahami Al-Qur'an dan Hadits, karena kedua sumber utama ajaran Islam ini diturunkan dalam bahasa Arab. Penguasaan bahasa Arab yang baik memungkinkan seorang Muslim untuk memahami teks-teks suci ini secara langsung tanpa bergantung pada terjemahan, yang sering kali tidak dapat sepenuhnya menangkap nuansa dan makna asli. Dalam konteks pengabdian masyarakat, upaya meningkatkan pemahaman bahasa Arab di kalangan masyarakat umum menjadi sangat relevan. Program pelatihan bahasa Arab yang intensif dapat membantu peserta untuk memahami tata bahasa, kosakata, dan konteks penggunaan bahasa Arab dalam Al-Qur'an dan Hadits. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman yang baik tentang bahasa Arab secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam menginterpretasikan teks-teks agama dengan lebih akurat dan mendalam. Selain itu, pemahaman bahasa Arab juga membantu dalam mengapresiasi keindahan sastra dan retorika yang terkandung dalam Al-Qur'an dan Hadits, yang pada gilirannya memperkuat keimanan dan ketakwaan. Oleh karena itu, penguasaan bahasa Arab menjadi kunci dalam memperdalam pemahaman ajaran Islam dan menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Abstrak ini menekankan pentingnya penguasaan bahasa Arab untuk memahami dan mengamalkan ajaran Islam dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

The International Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) is a strategic event to showcase the best tilawah (Qur’anic recitation) and tahfizh (Qur’anic memorization) skills at the global level, while also serving as a means of Qur’anic cultural diplomacy. However, the achievements of Indonesian participants at the international level still face challenges, particularly in aspects such as the accuracy of tajweed, fashahah (articulation clarity), mastery of melody, fluency of memorization, and mental readiness for performance. This community service research aims to describe the process and outcomes of the International MTQ mentoring program as an effort to enhance tilawah and tahfizh competencies. The method employed is a participatory approach involving pre-assessment of initial competencies, intensive training (talaqqi, sima’an, peer feedback), competition simulations, as well as mental and stage management coaching. The target group consists of prospective International MTQ participants who have passed the national selection stage. The mentoring results show a significant improvement in tilawah scores (average increase of 18%) and tahfizh scores (average increase of 15%) based on International MTQ assessment standards. In addition, participants demonstrated increased self-confidence, voice control, and memorization accuracy during the simulation stage. These findings affirm that structured mentoring, based on a holistic Qur’anic training method, can serve as an effective strategy for preparing globally competitive participants while strengthening Indonesia’s image as a global center for Qur’anic development.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the skills of teachers, students, and literacy communities in Dumai City in writing and translating bilingual children’s stories. The background of this activity lies in the limited availability of high-quality children’s reading materials in two languages, while literacy needs and foreign language proficiency are becoming increasingly urgent in the global era. The implementation method was carried out through technical guidance (training), which included workshops on children’s story writing, mentoring in translation into a second language, as well as peer review and revision sessions. The results of the activity showed an improvement in participants’ competencies, both in understanding the structure of children’s stories, techniques for composing simple language, and communicative translation strategies. Several bilingual children’s stories were successfully produced as final outputs, which have the potential to be developed into teaching materials or children’s reading resources in schools and the community. Thus, this mentoring program has proven effective in supporting the strengthening of a literacy culture and fostering the community’s creative spirit in producing bilingual children’s literature.

Abstract

This training aimed to improve the quality of learning in Junior High Schools (Sekolah Menengah Pertama, SMP) in Pulau Panjang Timur through active learning method training for teachers. The quality of education in remote areas such as Pulau Panjang Timur often faces challenges such as limited access to innovative teaching methods and low student engagement in the learning process. Therefore, training in active learning methods serves as a solution to enhance student participation, improve understanding of subject matter, and strengthen teachers' teaching skills. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method involving observations and in-depth interviews with teachers and students who participated in the training. The results show that the active learning method training successfully improved teacher competence. Prior to the training, the teachers’ understanding of digital media was only at 58% (categorized as "adequate"). However, after conducting intensive training and mentoring for three days, the post-training evaluation revealed a significant improvement, reaching 84% (categorized as "good"). Trained teachers were also able to manage classrooms more effectively and implement more creative techniques, supporting a more enjoyable and interactive learning environment. However, the study also identified challenges, particularly the lack of facilities and infrastructure, which affects the full implementation of active methods. Therefore, further support from the government and related stakeholders is needed to improve educational facilities and resources in the region. This research provides a positive contribution to the development of more inclusive and relevant teaching methods for the Pulau Panjang Timur area

Abstract

This study aims to examine the stages of children's education in the context of hadith. The research method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected from various relevant hadith sources and analyzed to identify the principles of children's education taught by the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The results of the study indicate that the hadith provides comprehensive guidance on children's education, from the infant phase to adolescence, emphasizing the importance of affection, discipline, and teaching moral values. These findings provide an important contribution to the development of an Islamic education curriculum based on the teachings of the hadith.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali peran orang tua dalam meningkatkan hafalan siswa di SDII Luqman Al-Hakim Batam, khususnya pada program tahfidz Al-Qur'an. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, dengan subjek penelitian orang tua siswa kelas 4 hingga 6 yang aktif dalam program tahfidz. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi, yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua berperan penting dalam proses hafalan anak, baik sebagai pembimbing, motivator, maupun pengawas. Pembimbingan dilakukan dengan mendampingi anak saat menghafal dan memberikan koreksi, motivasi diberikan melalui pujian dan hadiah untuk meningkatkan semangat anak, sementara pengawasan dilakukan dengan memantau kegiatan belajar anak di rumah. Faktor pendukung dalam peningkatan hafalan adalah lingkungan yang kondusif di rumah serta komunikasi yang baik antara orang tua dan sekolah. Sebaliknya, faktor penghambat meliputi kesibukan orang tua dan kurangnya pengetahuan orang tua tentang teknik menghafal yang efektif. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi orang tua dan pendidik tentang pentingnya peran orang tua dalam mendukung keberhasilan program hafalan Al-Qur'an di sekolah.

Abstract

Exploration of the integration of Qur'anic values in managerial supervision is still rare. This research conducted in the Riau Islands proposes a Qur'an-based supervision framework that is proven to improve school management and support the achievement of the eight National Education Standards (SNP). In addition to improving school management, the integration of religious values also contributes to the establishment of a more holistic and quality learning environment. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected from nine madrasahs through interviews, observation and document analysis. The findings show that the application of Qur'anic values, such as tawhid (oneness of God), amanah (trust) and shura (deliberation), improves leadership effectiveness, managerial efficiency and learning quality. This model allows madrasahs to be more adaptive in facing modern educational challenges, such as limited resources and increased professionalism of educators. The implementation of Qur'an-based supervision not only improves institutional governance but also strengthens the moral and ethical aspects of educational leadership. Further research is needed to test the application of this model in various educational contexts to optimise its benefits, both in public schools and higher education institutions, so that Qur'an-based supervision can be applied more widely and effectively.
