Abstract

Conflicts and violence in the name of religion in Indonesia continue to increase from year to year. One of the issues that often disrupts harmonious relations between religious communities is the issue related to the establishment of houses of worship. This problem arises because there is a thin line between the right to worship and the right to establish a house of worship. Some religious groups may view the right to establish a house of worship as the same as an inviolable personal right. In fact, the matter of establishing a house of worship is actually a collective social realm. Establishing a house of worship in an inappropriate location or environment can result in discomfort or disturbance from other parties. Prolonged discomfort can lead to hatred and hostility. This study focuses more on the results of the continuation of the problem regarding the establishment or repair of a Christian house of worship at the HKBP Lau Dendang Church In Lau Dendang Village. The results of the study show that the HKBP Laut Dendang Church plays an active role in community life. The church not only functions as a place of worship, but also as a center for social, educational, and cultural activities for the congregation and the surrounding community. There are obstacles in understanding and communication between the congregation and the church, which can lead to misunderstandings, conflicts, and imbalances in church life. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve communication, understanding, and congregation participation so that the church can function well and provide the best services.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Indonesia has a very rich cultural diversity, one of which is the tradition of eating merawang which comes from Seberang Jambi City. This tradition is not just about eating together, but also reflects social values such as togetherness, mutual cooperation, and simplicity in the life of the Jambi Malay community. Along with the times, the culture of eating merawang began to be explored in the performing arts, especially traditional dance, to preserve local culture and as a means of education for the younger generation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through literature study and direct observation. The results of the study show that the culture of eating merawang is represented in dance through various aspects, such as dance movements that depict eating together, costumes and props that reflect the identity of Jambi Malay culture, as well as stage arrangements and accompanying music that create a traditional atmosphere. The narrative in the show also clarifies the social meaning contained in this culture. The exploration of the culture of eating merawang in dance not only serves to preserve culture, but also as a means of promotion that introduces local culture to the national and international levels. The incorporation of cultural elements in performing arts provides space for artists to innovate without ignoring existing cultural roots. Thus, this exploration is a real step to maintain the traditions and social values contained in the culture of eating merawang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis peran pemerintah dalam pengembangan wisata budaya di Nagari Sumpur, Kabupaten Tanah Datar, Sumatera Barat, dengan fokus pada Rumah Gadang sebagai representasi arsitektur tradisional Minangkabau dan Situs Sejarah Khatib Sulaiman sebagai warisan perjuangan kemerdekaan. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi melalui triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah berperan sebagai fasilitator, penggerak, dan mediator melalui berbagai program seperti "Pesona Sumpu," pelatihan budaya, serta kemitraan strategis dengan lembaga keuangan dan sektor swasta. Upaya branding dan digitalisasi destinasi, termasuk perolehan Anugerah Desa Wisata Indonesia (ADWI), turut memperkuat posisi Sumpur sebagai destinasi budaya unggulan. Temuan penelitian mengungkap bahwa kolaborasi holistik antara pemerintah, masyarakat, dan pihak terkait merupakan kunci keberhasilan pengembangan wisata budaya yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The mangrove ecosystem on Sicanang Island, Medan Belawan, is facing heavy pressure due to human activities such as land conversion, waste pollution and the impact of climate change. This research uses observation, interviews and documentation methods to identify the factors causing mangrove degradation as well as conservation efforts carried out by the community. The research results show that land conversion into ponds and settlements causes a decrease in vegetation cover of up to 40% in one decade, which has a direct impact on the decline in marine biota populations. In addition, domestic and industrial waste pollution worsens ecosystem damage. However, the local community has initiated various recovery efforts, such as mangrove rehabilitation, sustainable use of resources, and community-based waste management. Collaboration between communities, government, NGOs and educational institutions is key in strengthening conservation efforts and building a sustainable coastal management system.

Abstract

A place of worship is a very important component in a religion. Nothing can be called a religion without a clear worship system and a permanent place of worship. Christianity calls their place of worship a ‘Church’, which means a house where God and His people meet. The function of this church is to describe their faith by singing spiritual songs with the aim of worshiping or praising their God. The data analysis technique uses qualitative research as the data analysis method. This study uses a case study methodology to conduct qualitative research. The subjects studied in this case study approach. In fostering harmony between religious communities, there must be a gap between one and another. Regarding various social problems that contain the potential for conflict in the local community and can disrupt and harm various efforts to create harmony between religious communities, for example, residential areas that function as houses of worship are found in most of the districts/cities targeted by this study. Thus, it is important for all parties, including the government, religious figures, and civil society, to continue to strive to create harmony and mutual understanding, so that similar conflicts do not recur in the future. Multicultural education, interfaith dialogue, and fair law enforcement are some of the important steps that can be taken to build an inclusive and harmonious society.

Abstract

Minat belajar matematika yang rendah masih menjadi permasalahan utama dalam dunia pendidikan dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran inovatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan, dengan subjek 24 siswa kelas V SDN 56/1 Aro. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Model Think Pair Share (TPS) diterapkan untuk mendorong interaksi, kolaborasi, dan rasa percaya diri siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada partisipasi siswa, dari 47,62% pada pertemuan pertama menjadi 68,34% pada pertemuan kedua di siklus pertama, dan mencapai 90,00% pada akhir siklus kedua. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa metode pembelajaran kolaboratif yang berpusat pada siswa efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa model TPS mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dengan menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif, bermakna, dan menyenangkan. Abstract

Science learning at the elementary school level requires the availability of teaching materials that are able to present concepts concretely, contextually, and in line with the developmental stages of students' learning. However, the teaching materials used in third-grade science learning are still dominated by printed modules that tend to be textual and lack interactivity, so they do not fully support conceptual understanding, especially in the material on energy sources. This research is directed at developing and assessing the feasibility of a Canva-based digital module published through the Heyzine Flipbook platform by integrating a deep learning approach in third-grade science learning in elementary school. The method applied is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model that includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, but the implementation of the research is limited to the development stage because the focus of the study is on testing the validity of the product. The digital module was designed using the Canva application and presented in the form of an interactive digital book through the Heyzine Flipbook platform. The product assessment stage involved three experts, namely a material expert, a language expert, and a media expert, with a five-level Likert scale questionnaire instrument. The data obtained were analyzed using a percentage technique to determine the level of module validity. The results of the study indicate that the digital module is categorized as very valid in all assessment aspects, including the feasibility of the material, language, and media, with an average validity level of 95.44%. Therefore, the resulting digital module is considered suitable for use as a science and science teaching material on energy sources for third-grade elementary school students. However, this study has not included practicality and effectiveness tests, so further research is needed to examine its application in classroom learning. ABSTRAKPembelajaran IPAS pada jenjang sekolah dasar menuntut ketersediaan bahan ajar yang mampu menyajikan konsep secara konkret, kontekstual, serta selaras dengan tahap perkembangan belajar peserta didik. Namun, bahan ajar yang digunakan pada pembelajaran IPAS kelas III masih didominasi oleh modul cetak yang cenderung bersifat tekstual dan minim interaktivitas, sehingga belum sepenuhnya mendukung pemahaman konsep, khususnya pada materi sumber energi. Penelitian ini diarahkan untuk mengembangkan sekaligus menilai tingkat kelayakan modul digital berbasis Canva yang dipublikasikan melalui platform Heyzine Flipbook dengan mengintegrasikan pendekatan deep learning dalam pembelajaran IPAS kelas III sekolah dasar. Metode yang diterapkan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang mencakup tahapan analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation, namun pelaksanaan penelitian dibatasi hingga tahap development karena fokus kajian berada pada pengujian validitas produk. Modul digital dirancang menggunakan aplikasi Canva dan disajikan dalam bentuk buku digital interaktif melalui platform Heyzine Flipbook. Tahap penilaian produk melibatkan tiga pakar, yaitu ahli materi, ahli bahasa, dan ahli media, dengan instrumen angket skala Likert lima tingkat. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik persentase untuk mengetahui tingkat validitas modul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul digital berada pada kategori sangat valid pada seluruh aspek penilaian, meliputi kelayakan materi, kebahasaan, dan media, dengan rata-rata tingkat kevalidan sebesar 95,44%. Oleh karena itu, modul digital yang dihasilkan dinilai layak dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan ajar IPAS materi sumber energi bagi peserta didik kelas III sekolah dasar. Meskipun demikian, penelitian ini belum mencakup uji kepraktisan dan efektivitas sehingga diperlukan penelitian lanjutan untuk mengkaji penerapannya dalam pembelajaran di kelas.
