Abstract

The research was intended to develop a simple practical guide and pieces of science process skills and scientific attitude of students assessment. Development model used was ADDIE, which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The model used in the lab module was problem based learning, which students were given problems before practicum began. Subjects of trials in this study consisted of six students were grouped into three categories of cognitive abilities, smart students, middle students and weak students. Results of product trials indicated that all students responded positively to the lab module. Modules can be applied to students with diverse cognitive abilities, the weak cognitive students could need teacher guidance, especially in the matter of analysis to understand.

Abstract

Abstract. Excellent class students represent students who are considered to have higher intelligence than their peers. The students have to join the exam before, so the school can map the level of their cognitive abilities. Apart from the seriousness of learning, the intelligence possessed by excellent students is inseparable from the existence of parental support. This research supports to see how the form of parental support for students. Data collection is done by collecting questionnaires for students and also parents of students at Al-Falah Islamic Elementary School in Jambi city. Questionnaires have been processed are completed qualitatively so that the data obtained is descriptive. The results of questionnaire analysis are there are various kinds of assistance provided by parents to students, some of them provide a comfortable learning place, consider the needs of children and support every effort undertaken by children. Abstract

Sama halnya dengan Biologi dan Fisika, kimia merupakan cabang ilmu alam yang harus dikuasai siswa. Banyak hal yang menjadi kendala siswa selama mempelajari kimia, termasuk saat mengerjakan soal-soal kimia yang mengandung perhitungan matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan kimia dan matematika siswa Madrasah Aliyah dalam konteks relasi sesuai fakta di lapangan. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes tertulis dan juga wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang tidak bisa menjawab soal kimia dengan benar, ternyata bisa menjawab soal matematika yang memiliki operasi matematis yang sama dengan soal kimia tersebut. Bahkan dari hasil wawancara diperoleh informasi bahwa lebih dari 50% siswa mengalami kendala memahami konsep. Dari penelitian ini didapat beberapa fakta menarik. Fakta pertama, siswa yang memiliki kemampuan kimia rendah ternyata tidak selalu memiliki kemampuan matematika yang lemah. Fakta kedua, kendala yang dihadapi banyak siswa dalam mempelajari kimia yaitu sulitnya memahami konsep. Fakta ketiga, metode mengajar guru juga menentukan tingkat ketertarikan siswa untuk mempelajari kimia yang pada akhirnya juga berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan kimia siswa. Fakta keempat, minat siswa untuk mempelajari kimia menjadi faktor internal siswa untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kimianya. Fakta kelima, rajin berlatih mengerjakan soal kimia merupakan salah satu cara mengasah kemampuan kimia. Dengan demikian kemampuan matematika siswa tidak menjadi pengaruh utama terhadap kemampuan kimia siswa.

Abstract

Keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran dapat dilihat dari proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung. Dikatahui di SD N 251/VI Bungo Tanjung kurang menggunakan media berbasis teknologi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk (1) menghasilkan produk berupa video edukasi kartun animasi (2) mengetahui kevalidan dari video edukasi kartun animasi berbasis budaya lokal berbantuan aplikasi inshot di sekolah dasar (3) mengetahui kepraktisan dari video edukasi kartun animasi berbasis budaya lokal berbantuan aplikasi inshot di sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE yaitu Analisis (Analyze), Desain (Design), Pengembangan (Development), Implementasi (Implementation), Evaluasi (Evaluation). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN 251/VI Bungo Tanjung II. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ujicoba dari ahli media yaitu 96% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid” dan memperoleh hasil dari ahli materi tahap ke-1 yaitu 73,3 % dengan kategori “Valid” serta mendapatkan hasil dari tahapan ke-2 90% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid” sehingga dari pemerolehan data dari tim validator media yang telah dikembangkan dinyatakan valid untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Kepraktisan dari video edukasi kartun animasi didapatkan dari pengisian angket respon kepraktisan peserta didik dan guru, adapun hasil kepraktisan yang diperoleh dari pengisian angket peserta didik yaitu 91,9 % dengan kategori “Sangat Praktis” sedangkan hasil pengisian angket respon guru mendapatkan hasil 96,3 % dengan kategori “Sangat Praktis. Berdasarkan kesimpulan dapat disimpulkan bawa pengembangan video edukasi kartun animasi berbantuan aplikasi inshot di sekolah dasar sangat valid dan praktis sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Kimia dikenal dengan konsep-konsepnya yang bersifat abstrak, salah satu contohnya yaitu konsep larutan asam dan basa. Pada konsep larutan asam dan basa siswa harus memahami bagaimana karakteristik larutan asam dan basa, serta bagaimana menentukan pH larutannya. Kondisi ini menyebabkan perlunya model pembelajaran yang tepat agar siswa mampu memahami konsep larutan asam dan basa yang diberikan sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah ada pengaruh penggunaan model MASTER dan model Cooperative Learning tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu quasi eksperimen, dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan The Matching-Only Posstest-Only Control Group Design. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan 3 kelas sebagai sampel penelitian yang terdiri dari dua kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan ANAVA satu arah. Setelah itu dilanjutkan dengan analisis perbedaan parsial menggunakan metode Tukey’s. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan model MASTER memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada konsep larutan asam basa, sedangkan model Cooperative learning tipe NHT tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Artinya langkah kerja pada model MASTER mampu diterima dengan baik oleh siswa sehingga siswa mampu menguasai konsep yang diberikan dengan baik sehingga memiliki hasil belajar yang baik pula.

Abstract

Learning that is carried out in class should be student-centered learning. One of the ways of student-centered learning is small group discussions. Developing technology also contributes to the development of the world of education. Learning using the small group discussion method can be presented online using Zoom Meeting. This application provides the Breakout Rooms feature, allowing users to create separate additional rooms in one meeting session. Therefore, this study aims to determine how students respond to using Breakout Rooms at Zoom Meetings. The research was carried out at the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Jambi University, in the even semester of 2023. This research was conducted on 34 semester four students. Research subjects were selected using a cluster random sampling technique. This research is descriptive. Data was collected using a questionnaire given to students via Google Forms. The data were analyzed by calculating the percentage of each statement on aspects of student response. The results of student responses are that Breakout Rooms are easy to use, helpful in supporting the learning process, making learning fun, and making discussions more focused and productive.

Abstract

The lack of application of Meronce skills in learning is the reason why Meronce training has been implemented at SDN 64/I Muara Bulan. This is supported by observations that 80% of teachers at SDN 64/I Muara Bulian are not familiar with the Meronce technique, whereas the remaining 20% are aware of it but have not incorporated it into their teaching activities. The main reason for teachers' reluctance to implement Meronce activities in class is their ignorance of the benefits of this technique. In reality, there are many advantages of Meronce for students. It can help children develop their fine motor skills, which are crucial for writing. Meronce also teaches children to be attentive and focused, practice patience, and develop the ability to sort and match objects based on their color, shape, and size. The results of the PKM conducted at SDN 64/1 revealed that the training provided to teachers and lower-grade students was well-received and generated a positive response. This was evidenced by the participants' enthusiasm during the training.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the use of Big Book learning media in introducing optical tools to elementary school students. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research. These sources are systematically analyzed to select, explore, evaluate, and synthesize the latest findings. The literature search is estimated to be published from 2020 to 2024. The source of the article searched or selected through an online search with the Google Scholar database uses the keywords "Big Book Learning Media" and "Optical Tools". Based on the results of the description of the literature study regarding the exploration of the use of big book learning media in introducing optical tools effectively increasing students' interest and understanding of the material. With its attractive visualizations and large size, the Big Book makes it easier to convey the concept of complex optical devices, such as microscopes, telescopes, and cameras, to be easier to understand. In addition, its use supports collaborative and interactive learning, thereby increasing the active involvement of students. Although there are several challenges, including limited availability of topics, limited interaction, strategies and integration of digital media and creative creation of Big Books can help optimize their use in learning. Thus, it is hoped that the Big Book can be a very useful tool in science learning, providing a more comprehensive and in-depth learning experience for students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the application of the discovery learning model through differentiated learning to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects of data building material in class IV Elementary School. This research is a class action research (PTK) consisting of two cycles, where the data taken in the form of observation data through teacher observation sheets in applying the discovery learning model through differentiated learning and observation sheets of student learning outcomes in the form of post tests. This research was conducted with 4 stages, namely, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted at SDN 27/IX Sebapo from January to February 2024. The results of this study indicate an increase in student math learning outcomes as seen from the student learning outcomes test sheet in the pre-action student learning outcomes of 35%. Experienced an increase in cycle I meeting 1 to 39%, then experienced an increase again in cycle II meeting 2 to 58%, and increased again in cycle II meeting 1 which was 69%, then increased again in cycle II meeting 2 to 88% with category A (very good). Based on the findings of the research results, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes on flat building material in class IVb SDN 27/IX Sebapo can increase after applying the discovery learning model through differentiated learning.

Abstract

Program Kampus Mengajar ke-8 yang diinisiasi oleh Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi Republik Indonesia bertujuan untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di Indonesia, khususnya di daerah-daerah yang memiliki keterbatasan dari segi fasilitas dan sumber daya manusia. Penelitian ini mengkaji pelaksanaan Program Kampus Mengajar 8 di SD Negeri 147/IV Kota Jambi dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk menilai dampaknya terhadap hasil belajar siswa dan metode pengajaran yang diterapkan guru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan, dengan rata-rata nilai meningkat dari 65 sebelum program menjadi 80 setelah program. Selain itu, terjadi perubahan positif dalam metode pengajaran, dimana guru mulai menerapkan pendekatan yang lebih interaktif dan memanfaatkan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Namun tantangan berupa keterbatasan fasilitas dan perbedaan kurikulum masih dihadapi selama pelaksanaan program. Secara keseluruhan, Program Kampus Mengajar 8 telah memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SD 147/IV Kota Jambi, meskipun demikian diperlukan lebih banyak perbaikan fasilitas dan dukungan pelatihan bagi guru untuk meningkatkan efektivitas program ini.
