Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Di era digital saat ini, perubahan teknologi penyiaran telah mengubah secara drastis lanskap media massa, khususnya bagi televisi lokal. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi dampak transisi dari sistem penyiaran analog ke penyiaran digital terhadap stasiun televisi lokal, yang kini menghadapi ancaman eksistensial. Dengan meningkatnya penetrasi televisi digital, televisi lokal menghadapi tantangan besar dalam hal sumber daya finansial, daya saing konten, dan pergeseran preferensi pemirsa. Selain itu, peraturan dan biaya investasi dalam teknologi baru memperparah situasi, membuat banyak stasiun lokal kesulitan beradaptasi atau bahkan terpaksa gulung tikar. Artikel ini menganalisis faktor-faktor utama yang berkontribusi pada krisis ini, membahas dampaknya terhadap industri penyiaran lokal, serta mempertimbangkan potensi solusi untuk memastikan keberlangsungan televisi lokal di tengah gelombang perubahan digital. Dengan memeriksa studi kasus dan data terkini, artikel ini bertujuan memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang pergeseran yang terjadi dan implikasinya bagi masa depan televisi lokal.

Abstract

This research explores the influence of Ome TV social media on construction trust in social interactions of FISIP Communication Science students Mulawarman University. The contemporary digital era has changed platforms social media, presents significant challenges in building trust social through virtual interactions. Using a quantitative approach, research applying survey methods through distributing questionnaires to science students Communication. The research design was designed to analyze inter-correlation intensity of use of Ome TV and trust-forming variables digital interaction context. The research instrument was built systematically to measure dimensions connectedness, intensity of interaction, and perceived security of the virtual space. Analysis data is carried out using inferential statistical techniques to identify pattern and significance of relationships between variables. The main focus of his research is reveal the mechanisms of trust formation in social media interactions, taking into account the continuing complexity of online dynamics develop. Research views that every virtual interaction has potential to form dynamic trust constructs. His theoretical contribution lies in the development of the research conceptual framework digital communication, especially the dynamics of trust in virtual interactions. Practically, these findings are expected to provide an empirical basis development of safe, responsive and constructive social media platforms.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the communication strategies implemented by the LPADKT organization in preserving the existence of Dayak culture. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach to provide an in-depth description of the communication strategies applied by the Laskar Pemuda Adat Dayak Kalimantan Timur (LPADKT) organization in preserving Dayak culture in the city of Samarinda. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the leaders and bureau heads of LPADKT, while secondary data were gathered from relevant documents and literature. Data analysis was conducted inductively to identify patterns and themes related to communication strategies, cross-cultural dynamics, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in cultural preservation. The results show that the organizational communication applied by LPADKT in preserving Dayak culture in Samarinda is effective and well-structured. Clarity of messages, appropriate selection of communication channels, and consistent communication frequency, supported by a culture of openness, enable cultural values to be conveyed effectively, especially to the younger generation. The use of social media as a mass communication channel, combined with interpersonal and organizational communication, successfully increases active participation from members and the wider community. Additionally, systematic coordination and constructive conflict management strengthen organizational solidarity, allowing cultural preservation goals to be optimally achieved. Message consistency and high member participation also play key roles in maintaining the continuity of Dayak cultural transmission.

Abstract

This study investigates the communication strategy of Kutai Kartanegara Government Radio as a Local Public Broadcasting Institution 100.6 FM in maintaining its existence. Against the backdrop of technological advances that have given rise to new media offering flexibility and fierce competition in the radio industry, this study aims to understand how radio broadcasting institutions maintain their existence amidst the presence of new media and competition between radio industries. The researcher used a descriptive qualitative research method with a Case Study approach through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that Kutai Kartanegara Government Radio forms a structure, conducts surveys to improve the quality of broadcasting programs and adjusts to listener preferences, The planning stage involves setting clear goals for digital transformation, listener segmentation, content adjustment, In the implementation carried out displaying special programs, and interactive, in routine evaluations carried out to review the effectiveness of the program and see from the listener's response. reporting is made routinely and in writing and becomes the basis for future decision making. From the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that the communication strategy carried out by Kutai Kartanegara Government Radio applies the stages of communication strategy according to Hafied Cangara, namely research, planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting and applies the Boundary Spanning Theory in several stages.

Abstract

This thesis discusses communication strategies which are an approach used to convey information, persuade and remind consumers about a promotion either directly or through the media. The aim of this research is to find out the communication strategy of Kedang Murung Village in developing the Tanjung Sarai tourist attraction. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, and data is collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The informants involved the village head, BumDes chairman and visitors. The research results show that the communication strategy for developing the Tanjung Sarai Lake tourist attraction uses all of Hafied Cangara's theories, namely, the selection of communicators involves a lot of the role of Bumdes and young people. In determining the target, the focus is local tourists. Then, in preparing the message, the themes raised were the authenticity of nature, the beauty of the panorama and the richness of local culture. The choice of media used is social media such as Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi komunikasi publik yang diterapkan oleh Wali Kota Balikpapan, Rahmad Mas’ud, melaui akun Instagram @rrhmadmasud dalam menyampaikan pesan Pembangunan kepada masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana Strategi Komunikasi Publik dalam Menyampaikan Pesan Pembangunan Di Kota Balikpapan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teori Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) dan Strategi Komunikasi Hafied Cangara. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling bertujuan (purposive sampling). Pengambilan sampel berupa observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara mendalam sebagai data primer dianalisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa pesan pembangunan yang disampaikan mencakup beberapa aspek seperti infrastruktur, pelayanan public, kesejahteraan sosial serta program lingkungan. Pesan dikemas dalam bentuk teks, foto video dan infografis untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan masyarakat. dalam konteks CMC, komunikasi Pembangunan melalui Instagram memungkinkan interaksi yang tidak terbatas ruang dan waktu. Selain itu sesuai dengan fokus penelitian 4 tahapan yang dijalankan dalam strategi komunikasi publik yakni Memilih dan Menetapkan Komunikator, Terdapat 3 syarat sebagai komunikator yakni kredibilitas, daya tarik dan kekuatan, Menetapkan Target Sasaran dan Analisis Kebutuhan Khalayak, Teknik Menyusun Pesan, Memilih Media dan Saluran Komunikasi

Abstract

In the increasingly growing digital era, online transactions have become popular among the public, which has made consumer behavior undergo significant changes, especially among Generation Z who are very familiar with technology and social media. One of the features that is quite popular in e-commerce platforms is Shopee Live, which combines the concept of online shopping with interactive live broadcasts. This phenomenon shows a change in the way of shopping that is not only functional but also emotional, so that it has the potential to encourage impulsive buying behavior. This research was conducted with the aim of finding out how generation z's perception of the shopee live feature, especially persuasive communication elements, can encourage impulse purchase behavior when shopping at shopee e-commerce. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach by conducting in-depth interviews with ten Generation Z informants in the city of Samarinda using purposive sampling techniques and Miles & Huberman analysis techniques. The results of the study show that Generation Z perceives Shopee Live as a fun, practical, and easy-to-use feature for the decision-making process. They consider this feature to be able to present a more real shopping experience than ordinary catalogs. The persuasive communication element in Shopee Live contributes to increasing interest in watching and helps encourage impulsive purchasing behavior. Thus, the shopee live feature has been proven to have a role in shaping positive perceptions while encouraging impulse buying behavior among generation Z in the context of online shopping. These findings provide insight for e-commerce players in designing more persuasive communication strategies, as well as encouraging consumers to be wiser in making purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Tematik Universitas Mulawarman tahun 2025 dilaksanakan di Desa Bukit Harapan dan Desa Bangun Jaya, Kecamatan Kaliorang, Kabupaten Kutai Timur, dengan fokus pada pendampingan pengurusan Surat Tanda Daftar Budidaya (STDB) bagi pekebun kelapa sawit rakyat. STDB merupakan dokumen legalitas yang penting untuk memberikan pengakuan hukum sekaligus membuka akses petani terhadap program pemerintah, seperti Peremajaan Sawit Rakyat (PSR), pupuk subsidi, dan pembiayaan formal. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi awal, koordinasi dengan aparat desa dan dinas perkebunan, sosialisasi, pendataan door to door, pendampingan administrasi, verifikasi lahan, serta evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa meskipun jumlah berkas STDB yang berhasil diproses masih terbatas, kegiatan ini meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya legalitas lahan dan mendorong partisipasi petani dalam proses pendataan. Hambatan utama yang ditemui meliputi keterbatasan waktu, kondisi medan dan cuaca, dokumen yang tidak lengkap, keterbatasan sarana transportasi, serta krisis kepercayaan masyarakat akibat pengalaman sebelumnya. Kendati demikian, program ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam memperkuat tata kelola perkebunan sawit rakyat melalui penguatan legalitas lahan, sekaligus menjadi sarana pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

This qualitative study examines how interpersonal communication between vaporistas (vape shop frontline staff) and consumers builds trust at AMW Vapestore Samarinda, Indonesia. Using social penetration theory by Altman and Taylor (1973), the research explores five stages of relationship development: orientation, exploratory affective, affective, stable, and depenetration. Through in-depth interviews with vaporistas and regular customers who visited at least five times, findings reveal that trust building begins with simple conversations during the orientation stage, progresses through gradual self-disclosure and emotional expression, and culminates in stable relationships characterized by mutual openness and predictability. Vaporistas demonstrate customer service excellence by actively providing product information, showing empathy, and maintaining supportive attitudes. The study confirms that interpersonal communication significantly influences consumer trust, with successful relationships reaching the stable stage where personal connections transcend transactional interactions. However, conflicts can lead to relationship deterioration. The research contributes to understanding frontline communication strategies in the vape retail industry and provides practical implications for employee training and customer relationship management.
