Abstract

Improving Student Learning Outcomes in Science and Technology Subjects through Collaborative Learning Methods in Class V of SD Inpres 1 Tomoli. Thesis, Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Department of Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University, Supervisor I: Pahriadi and Supervisor II: Surahman This research was carried out at SD Inpres 1 Tomoli, Central Sulawesi. The main problem in this study is whether using the Collaboration method can improve the learning outcomes of grade V students in the science and science subject at SD Inpres 1 Tomoli. The purpose of this study is to improve the learning outcomes of grade V students in the science and science subject in Presidential Instruction 1 Tomoli through a collaborative method. This research is a classroom action research. The subject of this study is 15 grade IV students consisting of 8 male students and 7 female students. The implementation of this research follows a research stage called a cycle. Based on the results of the research and data analysis that has been carried out, this study shows that the learning outcomes of science and technology in grade V students of SD Inpreds 1 Tomoli can be improved by using the Collaboration method. This is shown by the average percentage of Classical Learning Completeness (KBK) of 73.9% in cycle 1 to 95.65% in cycle 2 Based on the presentation From the data, it can be concluded that using the Collaboration Method can improve Student Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the Implementation of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning Model to improve social studies learning outcomes in fourth grade students of Perumnas Public Elementary School, Rappocini District, Makassar City. The approach used is a qualitative approach with the type of research in the form of classroom action research. The research setting took place at Perumnas Public Elementary School, Rappocini District, Makassar City with research subjects consisting of one teacher and 30 fourth grade students of Perumnas Public Elementary School. Data collection used observation, tests, and documentation, while data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together cooperative learning model can increase teacher and student activity in learning so that learning outcomes increase. This increase can be seen from the score of students' social studies learning outcomes in each cycle, namely in cycle I it is in the sufficient category with details of 30 fourth grade students, there are 12 students who meet the minimum completeness criteria which is 70 with a percentage of 40%, and 18 students who have not met the minimum completeness criteria with a percentage of 60%. Meanwhile, the results of students' social studies learning in cycle II were in the very good category and experienced an increase with details of 30 grade IV students, there were 26 students who met the minimum completion criteria with a percentage of 86.67%, and 4 students who had not met the minimum completion criteria (KKM) with a percentage of 13.33%. So it can be concluded that learning with the application of the NHT type cooperative model can improve the results of social studies learning of grade IV students of Perumnas Elementary School, Rappocini District, Makassar City.

Abstract

This study explored Quizizz-assisted Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in relation to learning-style preference categories among fifth-grade students at SD Inpres Perumnas Palu. A qualitative descriptive design was used. Thirty students were invited to complete a learning-style questionnaire, and 28 responses were used to identify visual, auditory, and kinesthetic categories. One student from each category and the classroom teacher participated in classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The visual-category participant was particularly engaged by images, colors, animations, and the leaderboard. The auditory-category participant described Quizizz as enjoyable but still relied on direct teacher explanations to understand new material. The kinesthetic-category participant was more active during the quiz activity and responded positively to competition, although teacher guidance remained important. At the class level, Quizizz supported an active formative-assessment atmosphere, but limited Chromebook availability and unstable internet connectivity constrained implementation. These findings are context-specific descriptions of participants’ preferences and experiences; they do not demonstrate that matching instruction to learning styles improves learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low student learning outcomes in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject among fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 2 Tatura. A teacher-centered instructional approach resulted in students being less active, unfocused, and disengaged from learning activities. The study aimed to improve student learning outcomes by implementing the Jigsaw cooperative learning model in science instruction. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) design was employed, utilizing the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which comprises the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The study was conducted over two cycles with 26 fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 2 Tatura. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that implementing the Jigsaw cooperative learning model successfully improved student learning outcomes. At the pre-action stage, the class mastery rate was only 34.61%, rising to 65.38% in the first cycle. Furthermore, teacher and student engagement during the learning process improved, reaching a "good" category. The Jigsaw model fostered a more active, collaborative, and enjoyable learning atmosphere, enabling students to grasp IPAS material more easily. Thus, the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model proved effective in significantly enhancing the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 2 Tatura through interactive and innovative instruction.
