Abstract

The research results show that: (1). All liquid waste requirements for land application have been fulfilled properly, even the biodegradation results in anaerobic ponds are much smaller than those required by Environmental Impact Control Agency, (2). Water quality standards in monitoring wells in gardens are based on PP No. 82 of 2001 Class II, BOD-5 and Total Nitrogen do not meet quality standards, but at the resident monitoring well location almost all parameters tested meet quality standards, COD is smaller and even oil and fat are not detected and the Total Nitrogen content is only 2.38 mg/l which has met the requirements. Waste seepage into residents' wells is not significant; (3). The results of plantations that use land applications and non-land applications are different, where the results of gardens that use liquid palm oil mill waste as land applications produce much greater fruit production (average yield is greater/ha 48.28%) than the results of oil palm plantations. (4). The use of fertilizer on land application land was initially greater than on land that did not use land application land, this was because agricultural yields had actually started to decline because they were over 20 years old, but the use of fertilizer was decreasing every year, and (5). The oil content of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) applied to garden land and non-land application shows a difference in oil content, where fresh fruit bunches (FFB) applied to garden land on average have a greater oil content than fresh fruit bunches. (TBS) non land garden application

Abstract

Drinking water is water that meets health standards and can be consumed directly. The demand for drinking water is increasing, but the challenge of water pollution is reducing the availability of clean water sources. Refill water depots have become an alternative, but their quality needs to be maintained to ensure public safety. The aim of this study is to analyze the microbiological quality of refill drinking water in Padang City. This research used a descriptive cross-sectional method with the CFU method for analyzing Total Coliform and E. coli. The results show that the majority of refill drinking water in Padang City does not meet the quality standards (0 CFU/100 ml). Out of 12 depots tested, 41.67 % depots significantly exceeded the standards, with Total Coliform reaching and E. coli > 0 CFU/100 ml. The conclusion of this study is that most refill drinking water depots in Padang City do not meet quality standards and contain E. coli and Total Coliform. It is recommended that refill water depots improve cleanliness, sanitation, equipment maintenance, and conduct routine testing to ensure water quality meets the standards. The government should strengthen monitoring and conduct periodic evaluations.

Abstract

Rivers play an important role in supporting people's lives. However, poor river water quality due to pollution has a significant impact on the survival of coastal communities and the condition of the surrounding environment. To overcome water pollution, it is important to implement stricter regulations that are regulated in Law no. 32 of 2009 supplemented by Republic of Indonesia Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021. The research carried out was quantitative descriptive in nature, highlighting the impact on the water quality of the Batang Arau river from examining BOD, COD and TSS, which are river water pollution parameters. The research results show that in 2023, the results of examining COD parameters in the upstream river area will exceed the set quality standard limit, namely 25 mg/L. The recorded value reached 87.3 mg/L, which indicates the presence of very high levels of organic chemicals in these waters. In 2024, inspection results show significant improvements in the water quality of the Batang Arau River. It was concluded that the water quality of the Batang Arau river shows a positive trend. The pollution conditions that occurred in 2023, especially in the COD and BOD parameters in the upstream river, have been successfully improved by 2024. This shows the success of efforts to improve environmental quality carried out in the river area.

Kata-kata Kunci: Strategi Komunikasi, UMKM, Jakpreneur The role of MSMEs which is quite vital for Indonesia's economic growth needs special attention. The government as one of the axis of economic growth will always be in the spotlight for its role for society. The vital role of MSMEs is not followed by the knowledge and skills of MSME actors, therefore the jakpreneur program is presented to help overcome MSME problems in their growth process. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the communication strategy used by PPKUKM Sub-agency in developing SMEs in the city area of South Jakarta. The method in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive research type. This study uses Middleton's communication strategy theory which is explained through the stages of communication strategy proposed by Fred R David, namely: strategic planning, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation. Determination of informants by purposive sampling with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research on the strategy carried out by the South Jakarta PPKUM Sub-agency are based on three strategic stages, namely, the strategic planning stage by assigning a companion to socialize the jakpreneur program to the public, determining the form of messages and media to be used. The implementation phase is in the form of soft skill and hard skill training activities with the community as the target. In the strategy evaluation stage, there is an increase in MSME knowledge and skills after attending the training. MSME assistance is needed, especially now that MSMEs can easily and affordably sell their products using information technology. Keywords: Communication Strategy, MSMEs, Jakpreneur

Abstract

Nagari Kinari is a village located in Bukit Sundi District, Solok Regency which was developed into a natural tourist destination, one of which is the tourist attraction “Batu Barajuik”. This condition is a good opportunity for the community to improve the economy through local-based Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs in Nagari Kinari in selling their products require business legality or Business Identification Number (NIB), Home Industry Food Production Certificate (SPP-PIRT) and Halal certificate. So that the product produced can be marketed widely and provide a guarantee of safety for consumers. Business Identification Number (NIB) is the identity of the business license issued by the OSS (Online Single Submission). The Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology conducts a community service program to provide wider knowledge to the community and assist in making NIB which is then carried out by handing over NIB documents to the community of MSME. The method implemented is training in making NIB based on OSS, discussion, and submission of NIB. The result of these activities is the issuance of NIB documents, which are then delivered by the Head of the Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology to business actors.

Abstract

Abstract

Limau Manis Village as Kampung Manggis is supported by the production of mangosteen in Padang City which is number 2 (two) in West Sumatra and 80% of mangosteen in Padang City comes from Pauh Subdistrict, with the center being in Limau Manis Village and the existence of Kampung Manggis brings hope for the community to improve their economy and will have an impact on the economy of the Padang City community. The skin of mangosteen fruit can be processed into value-added products. However, farmers and local businesses still face several challenges, such as the lack of knowledge and technology to process mangosteen peels into economically valuable products. Abundant mangosteen peels during the harvest season are often discarded or burned, causing environmental impacts such as soil and air pollution. However, due to the lack of public knowledge on mangosteen peel processing as waste, an innovative solution is needed to turn mangosteen peel waste into a new source of income through the development of competitive derivative products. This community service activity is designed as a strategic step to empower the community, optimize local potential, and build an innovative, sustainable mangosteen agroindustry, creating value-added products and improving the economic welfare of the community. In addition, this activity is also expected to be a model of agroindustry development based on local potential that can be developed. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide training in improving the knowledge, skills of the community in processing mangosteen skin, increasing the added value of mangosteen skin into mangosteen skin tea and mangosteen skin syrup products that have a broad impact on economic, social and environmental improvement.
