Abstract

Penerapan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) merupakan hal yang sangat penting. Serikat pekerja Sekawan Group merupakan organisasi perkumpulan pekerja galangan kapal tradisional di Lamongan. Perusahaan tradisional biasanya kurang memperhatikan penerapan K3 di tempat kerja. Oleh karena itu, diberikan pelatihan K3 untuk para pekerja yang tergabung dalam serikat tersebut. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran pekerja akan pentingnya penerapan K3 di tempat kerja. Materi pelatihan yang diberikan adalah K3 umum dan K3 kimia. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan oleh beberapa dosen, tenaga kependidikan dan mahasiswa dari Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan secara blended dan diikuti oleh 15 pekerja galangan kapal.

Abstract

Spices chopping machine with double chopper is a machine that functions to chopper or thinly slice empon-empon using a double chopper. This machine is a development product of the spices chopping machine with one chopper and manual chopper so as to produce high spices chopping production compared to one chopper machine and manually. However, the results of the development of the chopping machine are still quite expensive for the home-scale herbal medicine industry. The application of reducing expenses needs to be applied with consideration to the design of a spices chopping machine with double chopper that is more efficient by taking into account the ease of manufacturing and assembly in accordance with the DFMA technique and analyzing the structure of the lifetime of certain components to keep the machine working optimally. The initial product that has been redesigned creates 2 new designs. From the simulation results of the three spices chopping machine with double chopper design concepts that have been described, it can be concluded that the new design concept 1 meets the three criteria indicated by a safety factor value of 13.08, labor cost 613.50 s, manufacturing cost the lowest is $279.66 and bearing component lifetime is 698.3 months and the lifetime of v-belt components is 1564,045 hours of work, then the design concept that has the best simulation results is the redesign of 1 spices chopping machine with double chopperris.

Abstract

In today's industrial world, especially in large companies or factories, of course, they need tools to move goods. At PT Nas Teknologi Indonesia, the product that uses a plasma cutting machine is plate material. The process of lifting the plate to the work table of the plasma cutting machine requires a minimum workforce of 2 to 5 people and each worker has their own jobdesk so that during the plate lifting process the workers stop their work for a while to help the plate lifting process. Therefore, to help workers at PT Nas Teknologi Indonesia, tools are needed to lift plate materials such as Hand Pallets, Forklifts and Hand Stackers. The process of making this tool uses the Ulrich method, starting from the needs of the tool to the selection of concepts and design embodiments. Then planning, calculation and analysis will be carried out to determine the components to build the tool. The next stage is to make detailed drawings of the plate lifting equipment and proceed with the fabrication process. In testing the lifting plate is able to lift a plate weighing 100 kg with a height of 50 cm and a distance of 30 meters. This tool produces a time of 1 minute 32 seconds with a total required budget of Rp. 5,929,000.

Abstract

Sandblasting process at PT. Lintech Duta Pratama had always delays in progress because of the sandpot filling process still using the manual method and the sandpot being used has a small capacity. The author decided to designed a sand lifter using a mini electric hoist to make it easier to fill the sandpot. The sandpot exsting was also redesigned by increasing the capacity, to fulfill blasting productivity per day. This study uses the Ulrich method by creating three design concepts, then will be selected one of the best design according to the selection criteria. Design and analysis of structural strength using Autodesk Fusion 360 software. This study also analyse the ergonomic of the tools by using the RULA method to analyze body posture and risk of injury from these two tools. The strength analysis of the sand lifter structure on the selected design concept obtained a minimum safety factor value is 1.889, a maximum value of von Mises stress is 131.4 MPa at the connection between the rail and the long frame, and a maximum displacement value is 19.2 mm at the foot of the rail. Then the strength analysis of the sandpot structure on the selected design concept obtained a minimum safety factor value is 1.768, a maximum value of von Mises stress is 140.4 MPa at the support sandpot, and a maximum displacement value is 0.84 mm in the shell. The total budget required for the manufacture of this two tools is Rp. 28,763,757,-.

Abstract

PT. AAM Surabaya implements MTO and Jobshop strategies. Some of the steel and fire door projects were delayed. One of the factors is MPS was arranged without considering the production capacity. It is necessary to calculate the production capacity as a reference in the preparation of MPS. This study uses RCCP method to calculate production capacity. Preparation of MPS by using transportation method taking into account the results of RCCP analysis. Production scheduling is also performed to one of the project have the biggest delay using shortest processing time (SPT) rules with WinQSB software. The results of this study obtained the calculation of available capacity and needed capacity uses in analysis of production capacity feasibility, there were 6 projects that met the target and 9 projects didn't meet the target. Based on the results, MPS preparation was conducted by determining how long regular hours and overtime using transportation methods, total cost of overall machinery using transportation methods is Rp. 1,344,723,150,-. While the company's cost Rp. 1,581,390,000,. Production scheduling on MIS-DSD project is faster completion times than the company's plans. The company's scheduling is 22 days effective while using WinQSB software is 19 days effective. The result of this research can be used as a reference by PT. AAM Surabaya in the next production to minimize the occurrence of delays.

Abstract

Abstract - Train door is one of the projects undertaken by PT INKA Multi Solusi. This project was expected to be completed on time, but actually it was delayed. The methods used in this research are the Critical Path Method (CPM) and Project Evaluation Review Technique (PERT). The CPM and PERT methods are suitable for scheduling in order to obtain the fastest completion time by considering the estimated completion time of the project due to the uncertainty that occurs in the field, so that the percentage of possible completion of the project is obtained. The results found that the probability of delays in the planned schedule is 61.41%. To overcome this delay, it is necessary to accelerate the duration using an alternative 4 hours of overtime. Based on the analysis of the Time Cost Trade Off method, the optimal time and cost of the train door's production on the MYC 2020 measuring train's project was obtained, namely the acceleration of duration to 199.6 days with total cost of Rp 462,280,692,-. Based on the Swent under the curve of the plan duration because the completion process was delayed so the time required was longer than the plan.

Abstract

Abstract - Scheduling is an important aspect in the company to manage the length of production process time so as not to experience delays. Moulding Company is a manufacturing industry company with a production flow of job shop. The company's scheduling system on the manufacture of Injection Mould Base Frypan Handle is delayed where there is a non-achievable duration between actual production and planned production, to be able to obtain a solution to this problem, the proposed method, namely the Genetic Algorithm. The Genetic Algorithm method was chosen because this method does not have special criteria found in other heuristic algorithms, so the computation time is relatively shorter. Calculations on the Genetic Algorithm method using Microsoft Excel and MATLAB R2016a media. The calculation of the Genetic Algorithm method produces the optimal job operation flow, namely : 6-17-7-21-15-24-23-14-1-8-10-22-18-11-20-2-13-16-5-19-4-12-9-3. In addition, costs of Genetic Algorithm method decreased by 44% or Rp. 3,401,891, - more economical than company scheduling.

Abstract

PT. Aneka Adhilogam Karya is a company engaged in the metal casting sector which has superior products, Giboult Joint. In the production process, 9.84% defects were found. With the percentage of defects that have exceeded company standards, it can result in losses for the company both in terms of time, effort, and cost. This study aims to determine the percentage of the number of defects in the product as well as the factors that cause defects in the Giboult joint product and to plan the proposed improvement using the Statistical Quality Control method. Statistical Quality Control is the use of statistical methods to identify potential failures that arise by minimizing the risk of product defects, so that the resulting product can meet the quality standards of consumers by means of a statistical approach. Quality control tools used are check sheets, histograms, Pareto diagrams, control charts (P-Charts), and fishbone diagrams. The results obtained using this method are that there is an average product damage of 9.84%. and the average product damage is between the upper limit of 18% and the lower limit of 16.8% with the factors causing defects are human, material, method, and environmental factors. Proposed improvements that can be made by the company are by giving directions and warnings to workers, enriching more than 1 time, giving water according to the standard and providing air channels / holes in the mold, then by increasing air vents to facilitate air circulation.

Abstract

One way to maximize the engine power of the bore up motor is by modifying the camshaft, so as to get an efficient volumetric. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of variations in the total duration of the modified camshaft on motor performance. The research method used is the experimental method by varying the modified camshaft with a total duration value of 235°, 236°, and 238° and the standard camshaft with a total duration of 222.5° by testing using a dynotest engine to measure power and torque, burret tube and stopwatch to measure fuel consumption. The results of this study indicate that the modified camshaft with variations in total duration can significantly increase power and torque. The standard camshaft produces a maximum power and torque of 14.27 (HP) and a torque of 12.2 (Nm), while the modified A camshaft produces a maximum power and torque of 16.21 (HP) and a torque of 13.22 (Nm), the modified B camshaft produces a maximum power and torque of 16.84 (HP) and a torque of 13.69 (Nm), and the modified C camshaft produces a power and torque of 16.08 (Hp) and a torque of 13.42 (Nm). In this study it can be concluded that increasing the total duration value can increase power, torque, and fuel consumption.
