We applied a multilayer artificial neural network (ANN) developed using a Lavenberg–Marquadt algorithm to predict the photodegradation activity of the Reactive Black 5 (RB5) dye. A copper-doped titanium dioxide was employed as a photocatalyst. A copper doped titanium dioxide was synthesized through a wet-impregnation method. To optimize the network the operational parameters including the RB5 initial concentration, photocatalyst dose, irradiation time, hydrogen peroxide concentration, and visible light intensity were used as the input parameter. Removal efficiency of RB5 was selected as output. The number of neurons in the second hidden layer was optimized to determine the suitable ANN model structure for the RB5 removal. ANN based through Levenberg-Marquadth algorithm with structure 1-10-21-1 gave the best performance in this study. The criteria for the applicability of the model were the root mean square error (0.1) and coefficient of correlation (0.98275).

PT XYZ produces 29500 tons/year of lubricants using used oil as raw material. The use of raw materials and resources produces air emissions that have a negative impact on the environment, therefore need an action to reduce these impacts. The purpose of this research is to recommend air emission mitigation in accordance with the highest environmental impact generated by the lubricant production process based on the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method using SimaPro 9.0 software. The scope of the system in this research is the gate to gate in the regenerative base oil production process (refinery) which consists of preflash, Thermal De Asphalting (TDA), Hydrofinishing (HDF) units and Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) process which consists of mixing and filling units. The research steps refer to ISO 14040 in 2006 which consists of: (1) goal and scope definition, (2) Life Cycle Inventory (LCI), (3) Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA), and (4) interpretation. The results showed that the lubricant production process had a major impact on global warming of 100a with a value of 230,743 Pt. The processing unit that has the greatest contribution to the impact of global warming 100a is Thermal De Asphalting with a value of 115,938 Pt. The proposed emission mitigation is Waste Heat Recovery Power Generation (WHRPG), Carbon Capture Storage (CCS), and the use of oil sludge as fuel.

Chemical industrial activities in PT. X involves scrubber vessel to treat dust from the dryer and granulator so that air is disposed comply the threshold value. Therefore scrubber vessel's reliability is important in air pollution prevention activities in this industry. Implementation of inspection program is one of the key to maintain the system reliability. Implementation of inspection program to maintain the system reliabilty has evolved by the time. Traditional inspection program only based on perspective of industrial practices and not based on the actual condition of component in conducting inspections. Risk Based Inspections (RBI) involves the planning of an inspection on the basis of the information obtained from a risk analysis of the equipment. The purpose of the risk analysis is to identify the potential degradation mechanisms and threats to the integrity of the equipment. Risk analysis also has purpose to assess the consequences and risks of failure. This final project will analyze the risk of scrubber vessel failure based on RBI 581. Based on the analysis, the third scrubber vessel has probability with value 0,00009 failure/year and be categorized 2. Consequences of toxic area is 82483.78 ft2 and be categorized E so the risks are classified as medium-high 2E.

Press coco fiber merupakan proses cetak serat-serat hasil uraian sabut kelapa dengan beberapa tahap aktivitas kegiatan manual handling. Kegiatan manual handling dilakukan selama 8 jam secara berulang-ulang, hal ini dapat menyebabkan penyakit Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). Oleh sebab itu, kuesioner Nordic Body Map digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat keparahan pekerja terhadap penyakit Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner Nordic Body Map sebanyak 12 orang, menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 8% pekerja mengalami tingkat risiko muskuloskeletal rendah, 33% pekerja mengalami tingkat risiko muskuloskeletal menengah, dan sebanyak 59% pekerja mengalami tingkat risiko muskuloskeletal yang tinggi. Analisis metode Rapid Entire Body Asssessment (REBA) menunjukkan pada aktivitas memasukkan coco fiber ke dalam mesin press memiliki nilai 11 termasuk ke dalam sangat tinggi dan diperlukan adanya tindakan segera mungkin. Analisis metode Recommended Weight Limit (RWL) dan Composite Lifting Index (CLI) untuk pekerjaan multi task menunjukkan nilai CLI dikategorikan risiko tinggi karena > 3, akan menyebabkan stress fisik bagi pekerja. Setelah perbaikan, skor REBA pada aktivitas memasukkan cocofiber ke dalam mesin press mengalami penurunan menjadi 3 dengan tingkat risiko rendah.

An increase in population will have a major impact on the environment, such as an increase in the volume of waste. The second largest composition of waste after food waste is plastic waste, which is a type of waste that is difficult to decompose. One of them is coffee packaging plastic waste. Recycling is a way that can be done to reduce coffee packaging plastic waste, namely by separating the plastic layer and the aluminum layer. The aluminum layer can be processed into alum. The purpose of this study is to separate the plastic layer and aluminum layer using the green solvent method using methanoic acid, the effect of variations in the concentration of KOH with a concentration of H2SO4 6M, and determining the optimum dose in reducing COD and BOD levels in wastewater tofu industry. The results showed that with the variation of the higher concentration of KOH, the yield of alum produced was also higher. Alum research results were compared with commercial alum. Comparison of these two types of alum shows that alum produced in this study resulted in higher COD and BOD removal efficiency than commercial alum, but with different coagulant doses.

The need for lighting in each room depends on the activities carried out. According to the Indonesian National Standards (SNI) 03-6575-2001, the minimum recommended lighting strength for lecture hails is 200 lux to 250 lux and for laboratories is 300 lux to 500 lux. In measuring the level of lighting in a room, a tool called a lux meter is needed. But as is known light sensor is a sensor that quite sensitive. In this research the writer uses the Kalman Filter method to increase the accuracy and precision of the BH1750 lighting level sensor. In addition, this tool is also integrated with a website to make it easier for users to monitor measurement results both stored and in real-time. Tool testing is done by measuring 28 different locations. The test scheme is adjusted to the standard operating procedure for measuring light intensity which refers to SNI 16-7062-2019. From the test results for measurements using the Kalman Filter method, the stability level is 78.57%, the precision level is 1.46% and the accuracy error value is 0.92%. While the test results for measurements without the Kalman Filter method obtained a stability level of 53.57%, a precision level of 2.80% and an accuracy error value of 2.77%.

Jawa Timur merupakan merupakan salah satu propinsi produksi perikanan tangkap dan ekspor tertinggi di Indonesia. Hal ini didorong oleh kemampuan masyarakat pesisirnya yang tidak hanya berprofesi sebagai nelayan saja, namun juga mampu memproduksi kapal ikan tradisional. Pada kabupaten Lamongan, Jawa Timur, salah satu serikat pekerja yang berprofesi sebagai pembuat kapal ikan tradisional adalah Serikat Pekerja Sekawan Grup yang terletak di Desa Kandangsemangkon, Kecamatan Paciran, Lamongan, Jawa Timur. Berdasarkan hasil survey pendahuluan pada serikat pekerja ini, kendala utama yang dihadapi mereka dalam proses pembuatan kapal ikan tradisional adalah tidak adanya perencanaan dan target selesai atas pembuatan kapal ikan tersebut. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukan kegiatan pengmas ini yang bertujuan mengimplementasikan penggunaan software microsoft project pada serikat pekerja sekawan grup tersebut. Walaupun kegiatan ini berkelanjutan namun pada tahap awal dilakukan pengenalan dan praktek bersama penggunaan software microsoft project antara serikat pekerja dengan tim. Untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengetahuan yang dipahami serikat pekerja tentang software ini maka dilakukan pengujian statistik uji perbandingan antara kondisi sebelum praktek pelatihan dan setelah praktek pelatihan. Berdasarkan hasil uji perbandingan dapat diketahui bahwa praktek pelatihan software microsoft project ini secara signifikan dapat memberikan pemahaman kegunaan software ini pada proses pembuatan kapal ikan tradisional.

Salah satu fungsi tridharma tenaga pendidikan adalah penelitian dimana secara umum penilitian akan dipublikasikan supaya bermanfaat bagi masyarakat. Untuk bisa menghasilkan publikasi yang bagus maka para author harus memahami bagaimana mekanisme pengiriman artikel melalui open journal system (OJS). Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya (PPNS) memiliki sekitar 150 dosen. Tidak semua dosen PPNS memiliki pengetahuan yang baik mengenai bagaimana mengirim artikel ke suatu jurnal melalui OJS. Pengiriman artikel ke suatu jurnal yang kurang tepat, misalnya pada saat pengisian metadata secara tidak langsung dapat mempengaruhi index dari penulis. Untuk meminimalisir hal ini maka dilakukan pelatihan pengiriman artikel melalui OJS kepada para editor dan dosen perwakilan setiap jurusan secara luring. Dengan hal ini diharapkan nanti para dosen perwakilan jurusan akan menyampaikan materi pelatihan kepada tekan-rekan dosen di jurusannya sehingga dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dosen dana proses pengiriman artikel melalui OJS.
