Abstract

This study was to determine how the friends of the same age level affects to the selection of further studies of high school students in the City of Singkawang. The quantitative research approach with the survey method is used in this study. The instrument of this study was the Peer Scale and the Advanced Study Selection Scale given to 161 high school students in Singkawang City. The data obtained were then analyzed by Descriptive Percentage and simple linear regression analysis assisted by SPSS 24. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the level of peer influence on students was included in the medium criteria (60%), while the level of selection of further study students was included in the high criteria (74%). Whereas based on the results of simple linear regression that peers significantly influence the selection or determination of further study students (R2 = 0.059, t = 3.154 with a value of sig. 0.002).

Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of Lampion games as a technique in group guidance to enhance students' cooperation skills at Singkawang Elementary School. The method employed is a qualitative approach with observations and interviews. The results indicate that Lampion games are effective in promoting social interaction, communication, and mutual trust among students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) untuk menjelaskan intensitas merokok pada siswa SMA Negeri 4 Singkawang; 2) untuk menjelaskan penerapan Konseling kelompok dengan Teknik Self Management untuk mengurangi intensitas merokok pada siswa SMA Negeri 4 Singkawang; 3) untuk menjelaskan apakah Konseling Kelompok dengan Teknik Self Management dapat mengurangi intensitas merokok pada siswa SMA Negeri 4 Singkawang. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pre-eksperimental design dengan bentuk One Group Pretest -Posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Singkawang. Sampel penelitian diambil secara purposive dengan jumlah sampel 4 siswa. Teknik Analisis yang digunakan adalah menggunakan perhitungan N-Gain. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada penurunan intensitas merokok siswa setelah diberikan layanan Konseling Kelompok dengan Teknik Self Management dengan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,29 yang termasuk dalam kategori ringan. Berdasarkan hasil skor N-Gain sebesar 0,29, maka Konseling Kelompok dengan Teknik Self Management dapat mengurangi Intensitas Merokok Pada Siswa SMA Negeri 4 Singkawang.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low achievement of Mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN 14 Singkawang.This study aims to identify the influence, magnitude of influence, and analyze the implementation of the socratic method assisted by rolling ball games media on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of SDN 14 Singkawang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The study population was 28 students, with a saturated sampling technique so that the entire population was sampled. Data collection techniques included tests and non-tests using learning outcome question instruments and learning implementation observation sheets. The prerequisite test was carried out using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, while the hypothesis test used the Paired Samples T-Test. The results showed a significant effect of the application of the socratic method assisted by rolling ball games media on students' mathematics learning outcomes, with a significance value of 0.001 <0.05. The magnitude of the effect obtained based on the Cohen's d effect size calculation of 1.317 is included in the large category. In addition, the implementation of learning is in the very good category with a percentage of 88%. Thus, the application of the Socratic method assisted by rolling ball games media is effective and significant in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN 14 Singkawang.
