Abstract

The growing demand for rapid, low-cost, and decentralized analytical technologies has driven the development of portable voltammetric sensors and point-of-care (POC) devices. This review examines recent advancements in miniaturized voltammetric systems, with a particular emphasis on innovations in screen-printed electrodes (SPEs), microfluidic integration, plug-and-play configurations, and smartphone-enabled electrochemical platforms. These technological developments exhibit substantial potential for real-time, on-site analytical applications across various fields, including medical diagnostics, environmental monitoring, food safety, and wearable health technologies. Several studies are highlighted to illustrate the practical implementation of voltammetric sensing, including glucose and uric acid detection, cancer biomarker analysis, heavy metal monitoring, pesticide screening, and nitrite and formaldehyde detection in food. The review also discusses major challenges such as signal noise, sensor stability, energy constraints, and the need for user-friendly interfaces. Finally, it outlines future research directions, focusing on the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and low-power electronics to enable fully autonomous and smart diagnostic systems. These developments position voltammetric sensing as a vital tool in the future of accessible, real-time, and personalized analytical technologies.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology requires teachers to possess strong digital literacy skills to create learning experiences that are creative, efficient, and aligned with the needs of 21st-century students. However, many teachers in regional areas still face challenges in utilizing technology due to limited infrastructure and a lack of technical knowledge. This program was conducted to help teachers improve their skills in developing engaging and time-efficient digital learning media through training on the efficient use of Canva, aiming to strengthen teachers’ digital literacy and support the transformation of classroom learning. The training was implemented in four stages: needs analysis, face-to-face training, post-training mentoring, and evaluation. The needs analysis was carried out through an online survey to assess teachers’ initial digital skills. The face-to-face training was conducted for one full day at the SMPN 1 Maros auditorium and involved 15 teachers (11 mathematics teachers and 4 from other subjects). Using a hands-on approach, the training focused on introducing Canva’s features, strategies for utilizing templates, visual design principles, and integrating the media into online learning platforms. Post-training mentoring was conducted over two weeks via an online group and consultation sessions with facilitators. The results showed that all participants successfully created at least one digital learning product that was more visually appealing and efficient, and these products received positive responses from students. This program demonstrates that short, hands-on training combined with online mentoring is effective in enhancing teachers’ digital literacy and fostering their active participation in developing creative digital learning materials.

Abstract

Water pollution caused by persistent organic compounds such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) has become a serious environmental issue due to their toxicity, recalcitrance, and potential carcinogenic effects. Membrane technology offers an effective solution; however, its performance is often limited by fouling. This study aims to optimize the antifouling properties of cellulose acetate (CA) membranes through chitosan coating (CA/CS) and to evaluate their mechanical, physical, filtration, and antifouling performance. CA membranes were fabricated via the phase inversion method and subsequently coated with chitosan at concentrations of 2%, 5%, and 7%. Characterization included mechanical testing (tensile strength and elastic modulus), physical properties (water contact angle, swelling index, and water permeability), filtration performance (pure water flux and PAH rejection), and antifouling properties (Fouling Deposition Ratio/FDR and Flux Recovery Ratio/FRR). The results showed that chitosan coating enhanced the hydrophilicity, mechanical strength, water permeability, and PAH rejection compared to pristine CA membranes. The optimum performance was achieved at CA/CS 5%, which exhibited the highest tensile strength and elastic modulus, lowest water contact angle, maximum swelling index and permeability, highest flux, PAH rejection up to 88%, and the best antifouling properties (FDR 20% and FRR 82%). In conclusion, chitosan-coated cellulose acetate membranes significantly improved filtration efficiency and fouling resistance. The CA/CS 5% membrane demonstrates strong potential for practical application in the treatment of PAH-contaminated water in an effective and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Molecularly Imprinted Polymer (MIP) merupakan material selektif yang semakin berkembang dalam teknologi sensor voltametri untuk mendeteksi residu antibiotik pada matriks pangan. Kompleksitas pangan, tingginya kebutuhan deteksi cepat, dan keterbatasan metode konvensional mendorong penggunaan MIP sebagai alternatif yang stabil, sensitif, dan berbiaya rendah. Artikel ini bertujuan meninjau prospek dan tantangan penggunaan MIP pada sensor voltametri untuk analisis residu antibiotik dalam berbagai jenis pangan. Objek kajian meliputi prinsip kerja MIP, teknik pembuatan, integrasi dengan nanomaterial, serta performanya pada sampel pangan nyata. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan pustaka terhadap publikasi terkini yang membahas sintesis, karakterisasi, dan aplikasi sensor berbasis MIP. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa MIP mampu meningkatkan selektivitas, sensitivitas, serta kestabilan sensor, terutama ketika dikombinasikan dengan nanomaterial konduktif dan teknik fabrikasi modern seperti elektropolimerisasi atau surface imprinting. Namun, beberapa tantangan masih ditemukan, antara lain fouling matriks pangan, kesulitan penghilangan template secara sempurna, interferensi analit analog, serta kurangnya standarisasi fabrikasi yang berdampak pada reprodusibilitas dan komersialisasi. Secara keseluruhan, MIP memiliki prospek besar sebagai material selektif dalam sensor voltametri untuk deteksi cepat residu antibiotik, namun diperlukan inovasi berkelanjutan pada aspek sintesis, validasi, dan integrasi perangkat agar teknologi ini dapat diaplikasikan secara luas dalam pengawasan keamanan pangan.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berangkat dari permasalahan keterbatasan sarana laboratorium fisika di sekolah menengah atas di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan serta minimnya kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan media laboratorium berbasis virtual. Tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan guru fisika dalam mengoptimalkan media laboratorium virtual sebagai alternatif kegiatan eksperimen di sekolah. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan secara daring melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan interaktif yang diikuti oleh 25 guru fisika dari berbagai kabupaten dan kota di Sulawesi Selatan. Materi yang diberikan mencakup pemahaman konsep dasar laboratorium virtual, latihan penggunaan berbagai media simulasi, serta penyusunan rancangan pembelajaran berbasis media digital yang dinilai oleh tim pelaksana. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan, terjadi peningkatan nyata dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan guru terhadap penerapan laboratorium virtual dalam pembelajaran. Sebanyak 92% peserta menyatakan pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat besar dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka di sekolah. Kegiatan ini berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan eksperimen berbasis teknologi serta memperluas akses pembelajaran interaktif bagi siswa di sekolah dengan sarana terbatas. Kegiatan ini menegaskan peran penting keterlibatan guru dalam pengembangan kompetensi digital untuk menciptakan pembelajaran fisika yang inovatif dan adaptif terhadap kemajuan teknologi.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan ibu-ibu pengering ikan di Desa Manera, Kecamatan Salomekko, Kabupaten Bone, dalam mempertahankan kualitas dan menambah nilai jual ikan kering. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pelatihan, demonstrasi praktik, dan pendampingan langsung mengenai teknik pengeringan ikan yang higienis, pengemasan yang menarik, serta strategi pemasaran yang efektif. Peserta kegiatan adalah ibu-ibu pengolah ikan kering yang aktif di desa tersebut. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan peserta dalam menjaga mutu ikan kering, mengurangi kerusakan produk, serta meningkatkan nilai jual melalui pengemasan dan promosi produk. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan berbasis keterampilan dapat memberdayakan ibu-ibu pengolah ikan kering untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk dan potensi ekonomi lokal.
