Abstract

Junior football players often encounter difficulties in managing their sleep and dietary patterns. At the same time, they need to balance their time between scheduled school activities and training sessions. This dual responsibility can sometimes make junior athletes susceptible to sleep and dietary issues, potentially affecting their performance. This study aimed to examine the sleep patterns and dietary intake of football players across different age groups at a football club in East Java. We compared the sleep patterns and dietary intake of players in the U18 (n=18), U16 (n=13), and U14 (n=8) categories. Data were collected through interviews using validated questionnaires. Dietary intake was assessed with a semi-quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ). Sleeping quality and quantity were assessed using structured questionnaire adapted from Pittsburgh Sleeping Quality Index (PSQI). The results showed no statistically significant differences in the quality or quantity of sleep across all groups (p > 0.05). However, a trend suggested that U18 players had slightly better sleep quality and quantity compared to the other groups. In contrast, the U18 group demonstrated significantly lower energy intake than the other groups (p = 0.000). The U16 group exhibited the best energy and nutrient intake among all age categories. In conclusion, older and younger player groups tend to overlook dietary patterns, while their sleep patterns remain relatively consistent.

Abstract

Diet Kardiovaskular Rendah Garam I merupakan diet yang diberikan pada seseorang yang mengalami penyakit jantung serta mengalami hipertensi tingkat berat dengan batas natrium yang diberikan berkisar antara 200-400 mg. Pemberian diet ini bertujuan untuk meminimalisir gejala dari penderita penyakit jantung, menurunkan tekanan darah, serta menurunkan risiko komplikasi. Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana keberhasilan proses asuhan gizi klinis pada pasien lansia dengan hypertensive heart failure (HHF) dan hypertensive emergency. Pengambilan studi kasus dilakukan bulan November 2023 pada pasien rawat inap di RS X Surabaya, kemudian dilakukan monitoring dan evaluasi selama dua hari pada tanggal 3 dan 4 November 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan melakukan pengkajian gizi kepada satu pasien rawat inap di Rumah Sakit X Surabaya pada bulan November 2023. Didapatkan hasil bahwa asupan meningkat walaupun masih belum memenuhi target kebutuhan harian dari intervensi yang diberikan. Kondisi fisik klinis pasien mulai membaik namun masih memiliki laju respirasi yang tergolong tinggi. Perlu disesuaikan terkait tekstur makanan yang diberikan karena usia pasien tergolong lansia dimana banyak mengalami kesulitan dalam mengunyah dan menelan. Diet rendah garam dapat tetap dilanjutkan untuk memperbaiki kondisi pasien mengingat pasien mengalami hipertensi stadium II. Pembatasan asupan kolesterol juga dilakukan supaya tidak memicu penyumbatan pembuluh darah. Pemberian zat gizi yang lain seperti karbohidrat, protein, dan lemak perlu diberikan sesuai jenis dan kebutuhan agar tidak memperparah kondisi penyakit pasien.
