Abstract

The technology of coconut sugar making in the area of research is still elementary. To increase the selling price of coconut sugar, needed product diversification, and packaging of processed coconut sugar. The target of a program is KWT Al Cholihah and KWT Al Fatah at District of Dungkek. One of processed coconut sugar offered in this program is the product of brown sugar. Packaging provided in this program is a plastic pouch packaging with the label image so that it can increase the shelf life and consumer appeal. Through the program science and technology to the Community on KWT Al Cholihah and KWT Al Fatah at District of Dungkek, the outcomes expected are as follows: (1) skilled members of KWT in the manufacture of brown sugar in attractive packaging, (2) Products is a product produced in brown sugar and coconut sugar in beautiful packaging and (3) increase in sales of coconut sugar and brown sugar. Based on the results of the implementation, the response of KWT members is apresiasif and positive. Positive response is seen from the desire of members to resume the manufacture of brown sugar for the domestic industry. After the members of the training, the participants are motivated to produce and begin to be marketed in the neighborhood. Results of print in packaging sugar production and brown sugar are now sold in some modern stores in Sumenep like Alfamart and outside of Sumenep.

Abstract

Island Poteran one of the islands in Sumenep regency which has significant potential in the fisheries sector. In the year 2013, seaweed production amounted to 58027.61 kg with a value of 97,969,555 rupiah annually. But the use of seaweed in Pulau Poteran far only sold in fresh form. Though there are lots of processed plant that has a high sales value so that it can provide value added The products that can be produced very diverse as seaweed ready though, jellies, candied kelp, and nata de seaweed. Total production is minimal and dependent on demand. Such products cannot penetrate the supermarket because there is no food safety certificate from the ministry of health and the consent of the industry. Packaging products do not meet food safety standards. Through the science and technology to the Community on KWT Putri Tani and KWT Permata District of Talango, then the outcomes expected are as follows: (1) skilled for on KWT Putri Tani and KWT Permata District of Talango in making jelly, candied and nata de seaweed in attractive packaging, (2) the resulting product is the product of jelly, candied and nata de seaweed in beautiful packaging (marketable), (3) Increased sales jelly, candied and nata de seaweed. KWT members apresiasif response and confident enough. The positive reaction was apparent from the members to continue the business of processed plant for domestic industry. After members of the training, participants are motivated to produce and begin to be marketed in the neighborhood. The production of nata de seaweed, dodol and sweets in a sale at some stores around the island Poteran and part of Sumenep.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kelompok Tani Amanah berada di Desa Matanair, Jawa Timur yang menghasilkan lengkuas sebagai komoditas hasil pertanian yang utama. Lengkuas yang diproduksi berukuran cukup besar dibandingkan dengan ukuran rimpang jahe, berwarna putih terkadang kemerahan dan bersifat sebagai antibakteri, terdapat pada minyak atsiri yaitu senyawa fenol yang merupakan salah satu senyawa bioaktif bermanfaat. Komoditas lengkuas dihasilkan oleh petani di Desa Matanair, Jawa Timur dalam jumlah yang cukup tinggi. Tanaman ini berpotensi sebagai tanaman biofarmaka untuk dikembangkan menjadi bahan baku produk obat-obatan dan pangan yang bernilai tinggi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas lengkuas segar bersih melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna. Dalam produktivitas lengkuas segar bersih dalam proses pengolahan pasca panen, proses pencucian adalah proses pengolahan yang merupakan tahapan yang penting untuk menghasilkan produk yang sesuai dengan keinginan konsumen. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini terdiri dari 2 metode pendekatan yaitu melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan penggunaan teknologi tepat guna mesin pencuci lengkuas. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah adanya peningkatan kuantitas hasil produk lengkuas segar bersih, efisiensi waktu sebesar 28% dibanding proses pencucian manual  dan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan serta pemahaman mitra masyarakat sebesar 60-80% terhadap teknologi pasca panen dalam bidang pertanian. Abstract:  The Amanah Farmer Group is a farmer group in Matanair Village, Rubaru District which produces galangal as its main agricultural commodity. The galangal produced is quite large compared to the size of the ginger rhizome, is sometimes reddish-white, and has antibacterial properties, it is found in essential oils, namely phenolic compounds which are one of the useful bioactive compounds. The galangal commodity produced by farmers in Rubaru Subdistrict, Sumenep Regency is quite high. This plant has the potential as a medicinal plant to be developed into raw material for high-value medicinal and food products. The activity aims to increase the productivity of clean fresh galangal through the application of appropriate technology. In the productivity of clean fresh galangal in the post-harvest processing process, the washing process is a processing process which is an important step to produce products that are following consumer desires. The implementation of this activity consists of 2 approach methods, namely through training and assistance in the use of appropriate technology for the galangal washing machine. The results obtained from this service activity were an increase in the quantity of clean fresh galangal products and an increase in the knowledge and understanding of community partners about technology in agriculture.

Abstract

Mengolah gula merah siwalan menjadi gula merah memberikan nilai tambah yang dapat meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan para produsen gula merah, dan juga dapat membuat konsumen tertarik untuk mencoba dan membelinya. Analisis data menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Analisis dilakukan atas nilai efisiensi dan nilai tambahi. Pengolahan tebu coklat di Desa Nyabakan Barat, Kabupaten Batang-Batang efisien, ini dapat ditunjukkan dengan rasio R/C 1,46 (lebih besar dari satu). Ini berarti bahwa setiap modal 100 rupiah mendapat 146 rupiah. 2. Pengolahan tebu merah di Desa Nyabakan Barat, Kabupaten Batang-Batang mampu memberikan nilai tambah positif sebesar 54,35%.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge on cultivating red ginger plants using bag culture technology, namely a system of planting in large plastic sacks. Cultivating red ginger using bag culture technology is carried out due to limited land for cultivating red ginger. The method used in this activity is: participatory counseling, where farmers are directly involved, both in socialization and counseling. Activities carried out in several stages as follows: 1) Coordination with community leaders and partner farmers; 2) Socialization of the implementation of activities; 3) Counseling on appropriate red ginger cultivation techniques, and 4) Training on red ginger cultivation using the bag culture technique. The target achievement of this activity is expected to be able to open the insights and mindset of youth farmer groups in developing the agricultural sector, especially for red ginger commodities. Besides that, this activity can provide knowledge to the public about proper and efficient red ginger cultivation techniques to produce high production as expected.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan bagi anggota Kelompok Pemuda Tani Jokotole di desa Manding Laok yang memiliki potensi besar di sektor pertanian namun belum diberdayakan secara optimal karena masih terpaku pada pertanian tanaman pangan padi dan jagung serta masih banyak lahan kering yang tidak dimanfaatkan. Jahe merah merupakan komoditas yang mempunyai prospek untuk dikembangkan di lahan kering dan pekarangan. Pendekatan metode kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi, penyuluhan, pelatihan, demplot dan pendampingan. Luaran kegiatan ini adalah (1) peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan anggota terhadap pemanfaatan lahan kering dan teknologi budidaya jahe merah (2) peningkatan produk jahe merah dan pendapatan anggota. Pelatihan pemanfaatan lahan kering dan budidaya jahe merah meningkatkan pemahaman peserta tentang pemanfaatan lahan kering sebesar 49%, meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta tentang budidaya jahe merah sebesar 34,1%, dan meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta tentang panen dan pasca panen jahe merah sebesar 22,5%. Selain itu terdapat 22 anggota dari 35 anggota KPT Jokotole yang menanan jahe merah

Abstract

Salt farming is considered a risky venture due to the influence of both internal and external factors. Therefore, this study aimed to describe farmers' perceptions regarding the causes, opportunities, and impacts of risks to develop a risk reduction strategy for salt farming in Madura Island. The study used a multistage sampling method to obtain 120 respondents and was conducted in three regencies: Sampang, Pamekasan, and Sumenep. The first objective was analyzed using the descriptive method, while the second was designed using the Kountur method. Farmers' perceptions showed that seawater quality, wind and temperature, rainfall, soil porosity, price volatility, marketing channels, government policies, capital constraints, and human resource quality could cause risks in salt farming. Several risks were perceived to significantly impact salt farming, such as government policies, partnerships, marketing channels, prices, and capital availability. Therefore, some recommendations to improve the risk reduction strategies included the use of horizontal axis windmills, revitalization of groups and partnerships, and capital strengthening through the effectiveness of the PUGAR (Empowerment of Smallholder Salt Businesses) policy by the development of standard procedures for the timely and targeted distribution of the aides. Abstract

Abstrak: Indonesia kaya akan sumber daya alam yang melimpah, termasuk jenis tanaman herbal yang memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kesehatan, seperti jahe, temulawak, kunyit, kencur, dan lainnya. Banyak orang memanfaatkan tanaman ini menjadi jamu, salah satunya seperti Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Mawar dan Kelompok Tani Hutan (KTH) Bukit Lestari yang terletak di kecamatan ganding kabupaten Sumenep yang selanjutnya menjadi mitra dalam kegiatan ini dengan jumlah total 60 anggota. Kedua mitra ini telah merintis usaha sejak tahun 2019, namun ketidakseimbangan antara penawaran dan permintaan di pasar menjadikan usaha ini terbatas. Pengolahan yang dilakukan secara sederhana juga berkontribusi terhadap rendahnya produktivitas jamu yang dihasilkan. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat program Kosabangsa, tim mengajak kedua kelompok ini untuk bermitra dan menyelesaikan permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi. Melalui pembimbingan dari tim pembimbing, tim pelaksana kegiatan kosabangsa melakukan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman diukur melalui pemberian pretest-postest dan keterampilan mitra serta penerapan teknologi tepat guna yang dimiliki tim pendamping diukur dengan mengisi checklist dan observasi langsung. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan oleh tim pelaksana beserta tim pendamping telah terlaksana dengan baik, mendapat dukungan penuh dari mitra. Hasil kegiatan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam menerapkan teknologi selama proses pembuatan jamu sebesar 88,89% dan inovasi produk jamu cair sebesar 88,6%, serta peningkatan produktivitas jamu sebesar 80%. Kegiatan keberlanjutan dapat berupa pendampingan pengajuan izin edar BPOM dan pengembangan produk sesuai dengan iklim usaha bidang pangan yang dinamis.Abstract: Indonesia is rich in abundant natural resources, including types of herbal plants that have many health benefits, such as ginger, turmeric, galangal, and others. Many people use this plant as herbal medicine, one of which is the Mawar,s Farming Group (KWT) and Bukit Lestari’s Farming Group (KTH) which are located in Ganding Sub-district, Sumenep district which later became partners in this activity with 60 members. These two partners have been starting a business since 2019, but the imbalance between supply and demand in the market means this business is limited. Simple processing also contributes to the low productivity of the herbal medicine produced. Through community service activities for the Kosabangsa program, the team invites these two groups to partner and solve the problems being faced by parnerts. Through guidance from the supervisory team, the Kosabangsa activity implementation team carries out training and mentoring activities to improve partners’ understanding, measured through administering a pretest-posttest, and skills as well as the application of appropriate technology owned by the accompanying team, measured by filling in a checklist and direct observation. Training and mentoring activities by implementing team and accompanying team have been carried out well, receiving full support from partners. The results oh the activity can increase partners’ knowledge and skills in applying technology during the herbal medicine manufacturing process by 88,89% and liquid herbal medicine productivity by 80%. Sustainability activities can take the form assistance in applying for BPOM distribution permits and product development in accordance with the dynamic business climate in the food sector.

Abstract

Background: The trend of giving birth using the blowing method is used in a repetitive pattern for breathing exercises. There are many advantages of this steady, rhythmic breathing pattern during labor one of which is that the abdominal cavity can grow in size as a result of the increased relaxation of the abdominal muscles caused by breathing exercises. Purpose of Writing: To Influence the Trend of Childbirth Using the Blowing Method with Perineal Rupture Events at TPMB Ika Fatmawati in 2022. Research Methods: In this study, it was an experimental (quasi-experimental) design with The Nonrandomized Control Group Pretest Posttest Design with a quantitative approach. Sampling in this study is the total sampling of 30 people. divided into 2 groups, namely 15 people in the intervention group and 15 people in the control group. The sampling technique used was a strategy to identify the sample by taking respondents who happened to be available or the time available at the location according to the needs of the study. The inclusion criteria were women who gave birth normally, while the exclusion criteria were TBBJ counts of more than 3800 grams. Results: Results of statistical test analysis independent sample t test obtained Asymp. Sig (2 – Talled), namely 0.004 < α (0.05) it can be concluded that there is an influence of the trend of blowing births with perineal rupture events at TPMB Ika Fatmawati in 2022. Conclusions and suggestions: The results of this study are expected that midwives can carry out the trend of giving birth by blowing and making the mother's mood calm so that it can reduce the incidence of perineal rupture.

Abstract

Background: Kelompok Wanita Tani Mawar merupakan salah satu kelompok yang memproduksi jamu dan kerupuk puli. Kerupuk puli yang dihasilkan memiliki ukuran ketebalan yang tidak seragam. Untuk usaha jamu bubuk permasalahannya adalah ampas dari bahan herbal belum termanfaatkan dengan baik. Hal ini perlu teknologi inovasi fortifikasi produk kerupuk puli dengan rempah dari hasil samping jamu bubuk dan perancangan alat pengiris kerupuk puli. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai jual kerupuk puli. Metode: Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Pelatihan terdiri dari pelatihan teknologi inovasi pengolahan kerupuk puli dengan fortifikasi rempah dan pelatihan pemasaran. Pendampingan dilakukan untuk meningkatkan nilai jual produk dengan meningkatkan daya saing kerupuk puli. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah KWT Mawar Desa Ketawang Karay Kecamatan Ganding Kabupaten Sumenep dengan jumlah anggota 42 orang. Hasil: Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini telah dilaksanakan dengan baik tanpa halangan yang berarti. Tim pengabdian telah bekerjasama baik dengan kelompok mitra dalam peran aktifnya mendukung setiap kegiatan pelatihan serta pendampingan sehingga kegiatan berjalan sesuai harapan. Kesimpulan: Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan penjualan kerupuk puli sebesar 71% dan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan serta pemahaman mitra masyarakat sebesar 47,6-76,2% terhadap teknologi pengolahan kerupuk puli dengan fortifikasi rempah dan pemasaran digital marketing.
