Abstract

Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh hypnosleep terhadap kejadian enuresis pada anak usia prasekolah (4-6 tahun) di TK Widya Kumarayasa. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pre eksperimental design dengan rancangan penelitian one-group pretest-posttest design tanpa kelompok control. Penentuan sampel menggunakanteknik total sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 10 orang tua yang memiliki anak berumur 4-6 tahun. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner kebiasaan mengompol. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistic Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kejadian enuresis pada anak usia prasekolah sebelum diberikan hypnosleep, mayoritas anak yang mengalami enuresis yaitu sebanyak 10 orang dengan presentase 100% dan angka kejadian enuresis setelah diberikan hypnosleep mengalami penurunan menjadi 8 orang dengan presentase 80%. Berdasarkan uji statistic Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test didapatkan p (0,005) < α (0,05) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan hypnosleep terhadap kejadian enuresis pada anak usia prasekolah (4-6 tahun) di TK Widya Kumarayasa. Simpulan: Ada pengaruh signifikan hypnosleep terhadap kejadian enuresis pada anak usia prasekolah (4-6 tahun) di TK Widya Kumarayasa.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease 19 which has changed every aspect in the world, especially in education aspect brought a significant impact. One of them is changing the learning system at schools. Teaching and learning process turn to use online platforms as a form of learning method online way. Therefore parents and teachers are passionately looking for best ways to facilitate online learning, one of them is by aplying monkey stories to introduce English for the kids. This study aimed at determining the parental engagement in accompanying kids learning English through monkey stories application during covid-19 lockdown. This study was a qualitative research by using observation, interview, and documentation as data collection techniques. This study found four themes including: 1) activities followed by the kids using monkey stories application, 2) description of parenting patterns applied at home, 3) the role of parents in assisting the use of monkey stories application, and 4) the effect of monkey stories application on kids’ ability in comprehending English. This study is expected had a fruitful meaning for parents in assist their kids during study at home therefore the kids still feel the school circumstances at home and parents can be active and creative learning partners for their kids at home

Abstract

Violent behavior is one of symptoms that can be demonstrated by patients with schizophrenia which it can cause injury to the patient and others. Therapeutic communication is one of the nursing intervention for patients with violent behavior. This study aimed to identify the relationship of communication and risk of violent behavior in schizophrenic patients. This study used a descriptive correlational with a cross-sectional design, which involved 68 patients with schizophrenia who were selected by consecutive sampling technique. The instrument in this study used a therapeutic communication checklist and observation sheets for changes in violent behavior. The results showed that as many as 35 patients (51.5%) who received good therapeutic communication from nurses, and 37 (54.4%) patients showed moderate risk of violent behavior. The results of the analysis by the Gamma ordinal by ordinal test found that there was a significant relationship between therapeutic communication and the risk of violent behavior with p value= 0.001 (<0.05). It showed that the better therapeutic communication applied, the lower of the incidence of violent behavior in schizophrenic patients. Thus it is expected that nurses can practice therapeutic communication techniques to improve the patient's condition so that violent behavior in patients can be reduced.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The increase in tourist visits to Bali has become a growing place in various sectors in Bali which have an impact on health support facilities in the form of international hospitals. In its supporting activities, English language is the main thing in this field health workers, especially nurses who are able to communicate in English are needed to achieve good communication with international patients who visit the hospital. English language proficiency possessed by nurse nurses is professional in providing care to patients where nurses must be able to explain nursing procedures, drug administration, appropriate handling that allows patients to speak accurately and correctly. The lack of ability of a student in English is a phenomenon that occurs due to various factors. This study raised the ability of 5th semester nursing students in Stikes Bina Usada Bali. In this study, Stikes Bina Usada Bali students majoring in Nursing were the object of research. This study aims to analyze the problems faced by students of Stikes Bina Usada Bali in the pronunciation and analysis of factors that influence the ability of English Language on students at Stikes Bina Usada Bali. Descriptive data was used to analyze data in this study. This study shows that nursing students at Stikes Bina Usada Bali experience problems in English as the influence of the mother tongue (main language of each student) and second language (Indonesian). Several factors also influence the ability of students to speak in the form of internal and external factors such as language components and content components and the environment during the learning process. Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a degenerative disease with an increasing number of patients characterized by hyperglycemia due to impaired insulin secretion, insulin performance, or both. Ineffective management in treating DM will lead to complications such as Peripheral Arterial Disease which can progress to diabetic foot ulcers. One of the examinations which can be done to determine the condition of the lower limb blood vessels is the Ankle Brachial Index. Interpretation of ABI value can be used as an indicator of effective treatment for DM patients. One of the tertiary prevention is diabetic exercise. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of diabetic foot exercise on Ankle Brachial Index of Patients with Diabetes Mellitus Type II in Public Health Center II South Denpasar. This research design used quasy experiment. The sampling technique used a formula for quasy experimental research with pre and posttest design with control group. A number of sample was 23 respondents in treatment group and 23 respondents in control one. The result of statistical test using Wilcoxon Sign Rank test and obtained p value 0,000. From these results it can be concluded that there was an influence of diabetic foot exercise on Ankle Brachial Index of Patients with Diabetes Mellitus Type II in Public Health Center II South Denpasar.

Abstract

Caesarean section is a surgical procedure to give birth which is done by doing incision in the abdominal wall of the mother. Pain that is felt by mothers after cesarean section comes from wounds found in the stomach. One of the therapies used to reduce pain is the Bensons relaxation technique. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Benson s relaxation technique on pain intensity in postoperative patients with caesarean section at Puri Raharja General Hospital Denpasar. The design of this study was a pre experimental design with a total sample was 15 respondents. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling, namely purposive sampling to determine whether there was a significant correlation between the independent and the dependent variable used the Wilcoxon test. P value is 0,000, therefore it can be concluded that Benson s relaxation technique significantly influenced pain intensity in postoperative cesarean section patients. The results of this study can be used by families and nurses to implement Benson s relaxation in order to reduce the pain intensity of patients post cesarean section surgery at the Hospital.

Abstract

ABSTRACTEnglish for specific purposes is useful to be used in some sectors like tourism, hospital, law,and so on. In STIKES Bina Usada Bali especially, the students as the second language learnermay face some errors during learning how to use the correct English expression. They hardlychoose the correct word or expression when they try to speak to the patient in makingempathetic responses especially for diabetic. This study aimed at describing diction byidentifying meaning and supporting element context and the implication toward Englishlearning especially in making empathetic responses for diabetic of nursing student of StikesBina Usada Bali. This research used the descriptive qualitative method. Mereka tidak memilih kata atau ungkapanyang benar saat mereka mencoba berbicara kepada pasien dalam membuat respons empatiterutama untuk penderita diabetes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan diksi denganmengidentifikasi makna dan elemen pendukung dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaranbahasa Inggris terutama dalam membuat tanggapan empati untuk penderita diabetes pada siswaKeperawatan Bina Usada Bali. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dalambentuk kata penelitian yang digunakan dalam membuat respons empati untuk penderitadiabetes saat siswa melakukan aktivitas berbicara. Abstract

Hospitalization is a process of planning or emergency reasons that require children to be hospitalized for therapy. Being hospitalized is a big problem and creates fear and anxiety for the children. One of the efforts to overcome anxiety is by doing bibliotherapy. Doing bibliotherapy will provide many benefits, namely reducing stress or pressure faced, in terms of emotion bibliotherapy can help restore the condition of individuals who have trauma, eliminate boredom experienced by someone, and also reduce tension in oneself. Reading is a distraction that can lower stressor hormones, activate natural endorphins, and divert attention from fear, anxiety and tension, improve the body's chemical system, lower blood pressure and slow down breathing, heart rate, pulse, and brain wave activity. The purpose of this study was to identify anxiety experienced by children undergoing hospitalization before and after performing bibliotherapy and to analyze the effect of bibliotherapy on reducing anxiety in children underwent hospitalization.The research design used was pre experimental one-group pretest-posttest. This research was conducted at Bhayangkara Denpasar Hospital in December 2020. The number of respondents in this study was 37 respondents who were determined using non-probability sampling, namely purposive sampling. Respondents performed bibliotherapy every day for 45 minutes. The analysis used the Wilcoxon test to determine the effect of bibliotherapy on reducing anxiety of children undergoing hospitalization.The results of the bivariate analysis used the Wilcoxon test and the p value was 0,000 because the p value <α (0.05), then H0 was rejected. This means that there was an effect of bibliotherapy on decreasing anxiety of children undergoing hospitalization at Bhayangkara Hospital in 2021.

Abstract

Writing is one of the skills that must be improved. Writing requires complex skills such as developing creative ideas, vocabulary variations and also using good and correct grammar. This is because most students lack vocabulary, find it difficult to generate ideas in writing and are less able to string words together in writing. One of the efforts to improve writing skills is through the presentation of Silent Cartoon Animation in Narrative Text writing. The purpose of this study is to improve the ability to write narrative texts by using silent cartoon animation in an effort to provide a stimulus to students so that they can come up with ideas that can be put into written form. This research uses the classroom action research (CAR) method which examines quantitative and qualitative data from the applied linguistic aspect. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the use of Silent Cartoon Animation media was able to improve students' abilities in writing narrative text.

Abstract

Speaking skill menjadi salah satu kunci keberhasilan dalam komunikasi. Dalam program minor healthy and happy ageing. Mahasiswa wajib menguasai Bahasa inggris dan memiliki speaking skill yang baik karena mereka diwajibkan untuk menjadi tutor untuk mahasiswa asing selama berada di Bali. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan speaking skil mereka adalah dengan senantiasa memberikan metode pengajaran yang lebih kreatif guna mengasah kemampuan mereka. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan speaking skill Bahasa inggris mahasiswa Bina Usada Bali dengan menerapkan foreign buddy tutor system. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode penelitian tindakan. Tindakan dalam penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Dimana terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dalam tiap siklusnya. Penerapan foreign buddy tutor system terbukti mampu meningkatkan speaking skill Bahasa inggris mahasiswa. Mereka menjadi lebih antusias dan termotivasi dalam berkomunikasi dengan mengguakan Bahasa inggris karena lawan bicara mereka adalah orang asing. Penerapan metode ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan speaking skill mahasiswa.
