Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) yang mengintegrasikan budaya lokal memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman bahasa peserta didik dan kemampuan interkultural mereka. Pengalaman langsung, seperti mengenakan pakaian adat, mengikuti upacara keagamaan, dan berinteraksi di pasar tradisional, membantu peserta belajar bahasa dalam dunia nyata. Metode ini sejalan dengan teori pendidikan interkultural dan pemerolehan bahasa kedua (Krashen, 2021), yang menekankan betapa pentingnya pengalaman dalam pembelajaran bahasa (Liddicoat & Scarino, 2020). Peserta tidak hanya memeroleh kosa kata baru, tetapi mereka juga memeroleh pemahaman tentang makna sosial dan budaya yang terkandung di dalamnya. Untuk meningkatkan efisiensi program, strategi pengajaran yang menyeimbangkan teori dan praktik diperlukan. Untuk meningkatkan pengalaman belajar peserta, integrasi budaya dalam pembelajaran BIPA dapat diterapkan di daerah lain di Indonesia.

Abstract

The community service program entitled "Transformation Through Language: English and Character Training for Children at Dharma Giri Orphanage" aims to improve the English skills and character development of children at the orphanage. This activity was carried out for six months, attended by 30 children with various age backgrounds and language abilities. The training methods applied included interactive teaching sessions, group discussions, and game activities designed to increase children's motivation and engagement. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in English skills, with the average final quiz score increasing from 60 to 80. In addition, the children also showed positive developments in aspects of character, such as self-confidence and the ability to work together. The active participation of various partners, including orphanage administrators, teachers, volunteers, and donors, has strengthened the success of this program. This program is expected to continue and provide a wider impact on children at Dharma Giri Orphanage, preparing them to face challenges in the future.

Abstract

Oral health is important, especially for children, because dental problems can cause pain and difficulty chewing. Dental and oral health can significantly impact general health, especially children’s growth and development. The prevalence of dental caries has increased due to children’s lack of interest in and comprehension of correct toothbrushing techniques. Interesting educational methods, such as animated videos, are needed to increase children’s dental hygiene knowledge. This study aimed to determine the effect of providing toothbrush educational video on the knowledge level of students’ dental hygiene at SD Negeri 26 Pemecutan. This study was a quantitative study that employed a pre-experimental procedure with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Samples were taken using a total sampling technique yielded 85 samples. The research instrument was a questionnaire about dental hygiene knowledge. The data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate Paired T-Tests. Based on the results of the bivariate test research, the average pre-test value was 9.98, while the post-test value was 13.61, with a P value of 0.001, implying that the toothbrush educational video had an impact on the knowledge level of students’ dental hygiene at SD Negeri 26 Pemecutan. It is expected that students at SD Negeri 26 Pemecutan will retain the knowledge provided on brushing their teeth and implement it in everyday life.

Abstract

Industri pariwisata adalah salah satu komponen terbesar dari ekonomi global. Pesatnya pertumbuhan industri pariwisata di Bali menyebabkan permintaan yang luas dari keterampilan berbahasa Inggris di semua aspek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi analisis komunikasi verbal yang digunakan oleh staf Villa Besar dalam menangani pelanggan. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner tertutup dan terbuka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi atau observasi partisipan. Observasi partisipan dilakukan untuk mendengarkan dan mengamati percakapan antara staf Vila Besar dan pelanggan asing. Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh staf Villa Besar di Jalan Bumbak. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan total sampling di mana seluruh populasi yang memiliki karakteristik tertentu digunakan sebagai sampel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada seluruh staf Villa Besar, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar responden adalah perempuan dengan usia antara 31-35 tahun, tetapi mereka berasal dari tingkat pendidikan yang lebih rendah dan memiliki pengalaman bekerja 6-10 tahun. Mereka menganggap bahwa bahasa Inggris sangat diperlukan dalam pekerjaan mereka. Beberapa masalah terjadi dalam komunikasi verbal mulai dari aktivitas berbicara yang paling sulit hingga termudah. Beberapa faktor memengaruhi kinerja komunikasi verbal mereka di antaranya kondisi kerja, motivasi, percaya diri, perasaan cemas dan malu. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi pertimbangan bagi manajemen vila dalam menyediakan beberapa kursus bahasa Inggris bagi para staf untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka.

Abstract

Background: The elderly are individuals aged ≥60 years who will experience functional changes in their body systems, including the musculoskeletal system, and put them at high risk of suffering rheumatoid arthritis. This disease causes joint pain and often affects the elderly's ability to carry out daily activities, thus having an impact on the elderly's level of independence. Purposes: This study aimed to determine the relationship between pain levels and the independence of elderly people with rheumatoid arthritis in UPTD Puskesmas Mengwi II. Methods: This research is a quantitative study that used a correlational design and a cross-sectional approach. The sample was 67 elderly people with rheumatoid arthritis who were selected by the Purposive Sampling technique. Data were collected using the Numerical Rating Scale and Barthel Index, which were analyzed using the Spearman Rank test. Result: The results showed that the average score of pain level in elderly people with rheumatoid arthritis was on a scale of 4 (moderate pain), with an average independence score of 75.37 (mild dependence). The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between pain level and the independence of elderly people with rheumatoid arthritis (p=0.000; r= -0.591). Conclusion: the pain level of rheumatoid arthritis impacts the elderly’s activities, so the nursing services can optimize pain management so that elderly people will not experience problems in carrying out their daily activities independently.

Abstract

Hospitalization is a process of planning or emergency reasons that require children to be hospitalized for therapy. Being hospitalized is a big problem and creates fear and anxiety for the children. One of the efforts to overcome anxiety is by doing bibliotherapy. Doing bibliotherapy will provide many benefits, namely reducing stress or pressure faced, in terms of emotion bibliotherapy can help restore the condition of individuals who have trauma, eliminate boredom experienced by someone, and also reduce tension in oneself. Reading is a distraction that can lower stressor hormones, activate natural endorphins, and divert attention from fear, anxiety and tension, improve the body's chemical system, lower blood pressure and slow down breathing, heart rate, pulse, and brain wave activity. The purpose of this study was to identify anxiety experienced by children undergoing hospitalization before and after performing bibliotherapy and to analyze the effect of bibliotherapy on reducing anxiety in children underwent hospitalization.The research design used was pre experimental one-group pretest-posttest. This research was conducted at Bhayangkara Denpasar Hospital in December 2020. The number of respondents in this study was 37 respondents who were determined using non-probability sampling, namely purposive sampling. Respondents performed bibliotherapy every day for 45 minutes. The analysis used the Wilcoxon test to determine the effect of bibliotherapy on reducing anxiety of children undergoing hospitalization.The results of the bivariate analysis used the Wilcoxon test and the p value was 0,000 because the p value <α (0.05), then H0 was rejected. This means that there was an effect of bibliotherapy on decreasing anxiety of children undergoing hospitalization at Bhayangkara Hospital in 2021.

Abstract

ABSTRACTParents' verbal abuse on their children often happens consciously or unconsciously. This occursbecause the impact of verbal abuse is not as direct as physical violence. Children are like plainwhite canvases that are ready to be swept with various colors because children cannot or do nothave sufficient knowledge to distinguish certain things, especially in the things they receivefrom their families such as verbal abuse and also children will easily absorb what he heardwithout having to think about it first. The impact of verbal abuse can cause hurt feelings thatcause children to think as they often say to their parents. This study aims at identifying andclassifying the types of verbal abuse by parents when assisting children in online learning athome in Kerobokan Village, Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali. The method used in this research wasthe qualitative method, the phenomenological approach was chosen because it describes themeaning of the subject's experience of the phenomenon being studied. There are several stepstaken in carrying out the research by searching for data, managing data, and presenting existingdata. In the process of searching for data, researchers used the method of recording, writing,and observing. The study found that the classification of verbal violence that is spoken byparents to children during online learning is a curse, intimidation, words that belittle orembarrassing and criticizing, and the psychological impact on the child. From the results of thisresearch, it can be concluded that verbal violence harms children, parents are more patient inaccompanying their children, are more able to select and sort words and sentences that can buildchildren's self-confidence.Keywords: children, abuse, verbal, violenceABSTRAKPelecehan verbal orang tua kepada anaknya sangat sering terjadi secara sadar atau tidaksadar. Ini terjadi karena dampak pelecehan verbal tidak langsung seperti kekerasan fisik. Anakibarat kanvas putih polos yang siap disapu dengan berbagai warna karena anak tidak dapatatau tidak memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup untuk membedakan hal-hal tertentu, terutamadalam hal-hal yang mereka terima dari keluarganya seperti caci maki dan juga anak akandengan mudah menyerap apa yang ia terima. mendengar tanpa harus memikirkannya terlebihdahulu. Dampak pelecehan verbal dapat menimbulkan rasa sakit hati yang menyebabkan anakberpikir seperti yang sering mereka ucapkan kepada orang tuanya. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk mengidentifikasi dan mengelompokkan jenis-jenis kekerasan verbal yang dilakukanorang tua saat mendampingi anak dalam pembelajaran online di rumah di Desa Kerobokan,Kuta Utara Badung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif,pendekatan fenomenologi dipilih karena menggambarkan makna pengalaman subjek terhadapfenomena yang diteliti. Ada beberapa tahapan yang dilakukan dalam melakukan penelitian yaitu dengan mencari data, mengelola data, dan menyajikan data yang ada. Dalam prosespencarian data, peneliti menggunakan metode pencatatan, penulisan, dan observasi.Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan ditemukan bahwa klasifikasi kekerasan verbalyang diucapkan oleh orang tua kepada anak selama pembelajaran online adalah makian,intimidasi, perkataan yang meremehkan atau memalukan dan mengkritik, serta berdampakpsikologis pada anak. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kekerasan verbalmerugikan anak, orang tua lebih sabar dalam mendampingi anaknya, lebih mampu memilihdan mengurutkan kata dan kalimat yang dapat membangun rasa percaya diri anak.Kata kunci: anak, pelcehan, verbal, kekerasan

Abstract

Peran Generasi Milenial dalam Pengembangan Desa Wisata Berbasis Kearifan Lokal. Generasi milenial dan eksistensinya di media sosial mampu memberi energi yang besar dalam pengembangan desa wisata.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran generasi milenial dalam pengembangan Desa wisata Nyambu dan Desa Baru Marga di Kabupaten Tabanan serta implikasinya terhadap kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara dengan informan, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini adalah tokoh masyarakat, pengelola desa wisata dan organisasi pemuda yang tergabung dalam Sekaa Teruna Teruni. Tahapan analisis data kualitatif yaitu, menandai kata-kata kunci dan gagasan yang ada di dalam data dan berupaya menemukan tema yang berasal dari data, menuliskan model yang ditemukan dan koding yang telah dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran generasi milenial dalam pengembangan Desa wisata Nyambu dan Desa Baru Marga melalui tiga tahapan meliputi tahap produser, tahap proses dan tahap produk. Bentuk inovasi generasi milenial terkait upaya pengembangan Desa wisata dilakukan dengan penguatan SDA dan implikasinya adalah generasi milenial dapat berkomitmen menjaga tradisi sosial budaya sehingga identitas diri dapat dipertahankan dan kelestarian alam dapat terjaga.
