Abstract

Abstract: Wire craft and recycled bottle pot training activities were conducted to enhance the skills and environmental awareness of PKK women in Hessa Perlompongan Village. This program is part of the Community Service Program (PKM) by KKNT students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Asahan University, focusing on women’s empowerment through a recycling-based creative economy. The implementation stages included socialization, hands-on training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ abilities to transform used materials into valuable products, with an average increase from 20% to over 90% after training. Participants also demonstrated high creativity and enthusiasm in producing crafts with market potential. This program not only fostered entrepreneurial spirit and economic independence but also raised awareness of responsible household waste management. Therefore, the training proved effective as an educational medium for promoting environmental awareness and creative economic empowerment within the community.Keywords: Recycled bottle, environmental education, recycling-based creative economy, pipe cleaner, PKK women empowerment. Abstrak: Kegiatan pelatihan kerajinan kawat bulu dan pot dari botol bekas dilaksanakan untukmeningkatkan keterampilan serta kesadaran lingkungan bagi ibu-ibu PKK Desa Hessa Perlompongan. Program ini merupakan bagian dari kegiatan PKM mahasiswa KKNT FKIP Universitas Asahan yang berfokus pada pemberdayaan Perempuan melalui ekonomi kreatif berbasis daur ulang. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan praktik, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan peserta dalam mengolah bahan bekas menjadi produk bernilai guna, dengan peningkatan kemampuan rata-rata dari 20% menjadi di atas 90% setelah pelatihan. Peserta juga menunjukkan kreativitas tinggi serta antusiasme dalam menciptakan karya kerajinan yang memiliki potensi nilai jual. Program ini tidak hanya menumbuhkan semangat kewirausahaan dan kemandirian ekonomi, tetapi juga menanamkan kesadaran akan pentingnya pengelolaan limbah rumah tangga secara bijak. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini efektif sebagai sarana edukasi lingkungan dan pemberdayaan ekonomi kreatif bagi masyarakat desa.    Kata Kunci: Botol bekas, edukasi lingkungan, ekonomi kreatif berbasis daur ulang, kawat bulu,  pemberdayaan ibu PKK.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the level of students' understanding of concepts in Statistics courses and examine the impact of applying presentation methods in the learning process. The study uses a descriptive approach and was conducted in the Sharia Accounting class in Semester 3 at UINSU Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research subjects were students in class AKS 3B, while the research object was a questionnaire designed to measure students' conceptual understanding of statistics material. The data obtained were analysed descriptively to describe the trends in students' conceptual understanding levels. The results showed that the average level of students' conceptual understanding ranged from 2.41 to 2.71. This range falls within the neutral category, i.e., between 2.1 and 3, indicating that students' conceptual understanding of statistical material through the presentation method is not yet fully optimal and still needs to be strengthened through more varied learning strategie

Abstract

Abstract: This study examines in depth the integration process using the "Tolu Sahundulan" philosophy in the topic of triangular angles and analyzes its influence on students' creative thinking skills. Creative thinking ability is an essential competency that needs to be developed in mathematics learning to equip students with innovative problem-solving skills. Conventional methods are often inadequate in stimulating student creativity. Therefore, this study explores the potential of the Tolu Sahundulan method which is assumed to offer a more active and exploratory learning approach. This study uses a qualitative approach with students involved in learning triangular angles using the Tolu Sahundulan philosophy. Data were obtained through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and analysis of student work. The results of the analysis show that the integration of Tolu Sahundulan in learning triangular angles significantly encourages students to explore concepts more deeply, produce various solution strategies, and show improvements in thinking flexibility and originality of ideas. These findings confirm that Tolu Sahundulan can be an effective alternative learning method for improving students' creative thinking skills in mathematics. Implications of this research include recommendations for educators and curriculum developers to adopt student-centered and creativity-stimulating learning methods. Keywords: Tolu Sahundulan, Creative Thinking Ability in Mathematics, Triangle Angles Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengkaji secara mendalam proses integrasi menggunakan falsafah "Tolu Sahundulan" dalam materi sudut segitiga serta menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif merupakan kompetensi esensial yang perlu dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran matematika guna membekali siswa dengan keterampilan pemecahan masalah yang inovatif. Metode konvensional seringkali belum memadai dalam menstimulasi kreativitas siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi potensi metode Tolu Sahundulan yang diasumsikan menawarkan pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih aktif dan eksploratif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan subjek siswa yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran sudut segitiga menggunakan falsafah Tolu Sahundulan. Data diperoleh melalui observasi kelas, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis karya siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa integrasi Tolu Sahundulan dalam pembelajaran sudut segitiga secara signifikan mendorong siswa untuk mengeksplorasi konsep secara lebih mendalam, menghasilkan berbagai strategi penyelesaian, dan menunjukkan peningkatan dalam fleksibilitas berpikir serta orisinalitas ide. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa Tolu Sahundulan dapat menjadi alternatif metode pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam matematika. Implikasi penelitian ini mencakup rekomendasi bagi para pendidik dan pengembang kurikulum untuk mengadopsi metode pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa dan stimulatif terhadap kreativitas.
