Abstract

Inconsistencies in water meter reading intervals, which often exceed or fall short of the standard 30 days per month, are believed to be a major cause of unreasonable bill spikes and trigger customer complaints. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of inconsistent water meter reading intervals on customer bill fluctuations and to propose a system upgrade solution for the meter reading application at PERUMDA Tirta Patriot, Bekasi City. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive case study approach, supported by secondary data in the form of meter reading records and billing histories of customers experiencing significant fluctuations, as well as primary data through in-depth interviews with meter readers, billing staff, and customer representatives. The analysis shows that deviations in the reading intervals (especially those exceeding 30 days) directly result in the calculation of accumulated usage volumes and impact the application of higher progressive tariff blocks, resulting in bill inflation. The implementation of the new system is expected to minimize inconsistencies, improve billing accuracy, and ultimately reduce bill fluctuations, while increasing customer satisfaction and trust in PERUMDA Tirta Patriot, Bekasi City.

Abstract

A Warehouse management system (WMS) plays a crucial role in supporting inventory management and the distribution of goods. Evaluating the system’s Service quality from the users’ perspective is necessary to ensure it meets the company’s needs. This study aims to evaluate the WMS at Gema Insani Press using the PIECES Framework and Gap Analysis. The study employs a descriptive quantitative approach with saturation sampling involving 20 WMS users. Data were collected through questionnaires and observations, then analyzed using validity and reliability tests, PIECES analysis, and Gap Analysis. The results showed that all dimensions received good ratings with actual scores ranging from 3.76 to 3.89. The Efficiency dimension received the highest score (3.89), while the Information dimension received the lowest (3.76). The Gap Analysis revealed that the Information dimension had the largest gap (0.18), making it a priority for system development. The research results indicate that the integration of the PIECES Framework and Gap Analysis is effective for evaluating quality and determining priorities for improving warehouse Information systems. Keywords: Warehouse management system; PIECES Framework; Gap Analysis; Information System Evaluation; Warehousing. Dimensi Efficiency memperoleh nilai tertinggi (3,89), sedangkan Information terendah (3,76). Analisis Gap menunjukkan dimensi Information memiliki kesenjangan terbesar (0,18) sehingga menjadi prioritas pengembangan sistem.

Abstract

As the primary platform for online learning at STT Terpadu Nurul Fikri, the ELENA LMS requires periodic evaluation to ensure that its interface quality and user interaction patterns remain optimal. Such evaluation is crucial for enabling students to participate actively in virtual classes. This study examines the relationships between system usability, user interaction quality, and student academic engagement. A quantitative approach employing descriptive and explanatory methods was used, involving 120 active students as respondents. Data were collected using the System usability scale (SUS) and Heuristic evaluation—alongside instrument validity and reliability testing—and subsequently analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman Rank correlation. The results show mean scores of 34.37 for usability, 34.06 for user interaction, and 34.89 for student engagement. The instruments proved valid, with Cronbach’s Alpha values of 0.616, 0.862, and 0.871, respectively. Correlation analysis revealed significant positive relationships between the variables, with the strongest link observed between user interaction and student engagement (r = 0.743; p < 0.001). These findings confirm that the ELENA LMS effectively supports the online learning process, although improvements to navigation, system feedback, and interface controls are still needed to enhance the user experience. Keywords: Heuristic evaluation; Learning management system; Usability; User interaction; System usability scaleAbstrakSebagai sarana utama pembelajaran daring di STT Terpadu Nurul Fikri, LMS ELENA perlu dievaluasi secara berkala untuk memastikan kualitas antarmuka dan pola interaksi penggunanya tetap optimal.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence is driving a fundamental transformation in management practices and paradigms, from a human-centered approach to algorithmic governance. This article aims to conceptually examine how this shift impacts decision-making, leadership roles, organizational governance, and ethical dimensions in the context of modern management. The research method used is a conceptual literature review by analyzing reputable international journal articles and key academic books discussing humanistic management, artificial intelligence, and algorithmic governance. The results of the study indicate that algorithmic governance offers increased efficiency, consistency, and analytical capacity for organizations, but also presents risks related to transparency, accountability, fairness, and the degradation of human considerations in decision-making. This article emphasizes that human-centered management and algorithmic governance are not mutually exclusive but can be integrated within a management framework that places humans as the ultimate supervisors and bearers of responsibility for algorithm-based decisions. The study's conclusions emphasize the importance of a responsible socio-technical and governance approach so that the use of artificial intelligence can strengthen, rather than replace, human values in management practices in the digital era.
