Abstract

This study aims to gather preliminary information on the design of the high school equivalency model before formulating the particular determination on the high school equivalency model developed by Community Learning Center. The technique of collecting data used observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative. The results are showed that the implementation of school equivalency consists of learning program equivalent A, learning program equivalent B, and learning program equivalent C. The reasons why subjects took the School equivalency because 1) social status need, 2) schools’ Dropout rates, 3) educational facilities, 4) organization apparatus needs, 5) low motivation, 6) child marriage. Based on the deep analysis, the school equivalency program is not optimal; there is neither innovation in the management learning process nor implementation in the teaching process; there is a lack of professional tutors; there is difficulty in arranging the time of study because of the learners' background. The findings propose the development of the high school equivalency model based on entrepreneurship. The model intends the learners to study everywhere and every time; creates the learners’ profession as a value as well gives the learners courses based on the ability through the cooperative activities.

Abstract

This research began with the problem of low learning activity of second-grade students on the material "I Behave Pancasila" at SD Negeri 6 Tempilang. The factors causing this problem are the learning methods applied are still conventional and the lack of use of interesting learning media that can stimulate students to be active during the learning process. This research aims to produce a valid, practical, and effective Pop Up Box learning media product based on Canva in increasing student learning activity. The type of research used is development research (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of the study were 16 second-grade students of SD Negeri 6 Tempilang. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, which were then analyzed descriptively. The research shows that the Pop Up Box learning media based on Canva meets the eligibility criteria. Validation by media experts obtained a score of 80% (valid category) and by material experts 100% (very valid category). The practicality assessment by teachers was 95% and by students 98% (very practical category). Meanwhile, student learning engagement increased by 81% (very active) with an N-Gain of 0.438, categorized as moderate. Thus, the Canva-based Pop-Up Box media proved valid, practical, and effective in increasing second-grade elementary school students' engagement in the topic "I Behave in Pancasila."

Abstract

This study was motivated by students’ low creativity, who tended to be passive andfound it difficult to generate ideas. It aimed to examine the influence of the ProjectBased Learning (PJBL) model on student creativity in the IPAS (Natural and SocialScience) material on Ecosystem Harmony in Grade V at SD Negeri 20 Sungailiat.This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental designusing a one-group pretest-posttest model. The sample consisted of one class of 20students selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collectedusing a questionnaire of 20 statements and observation sheets completed byobservers. Data analysis techniques included a normality test using the ShapiroWilk test and hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test. The results showedthat the normality test using Shapiro-Wilk obtained significance values of 0.092 forthe pretest and 0.502 for the posttest, both greater than 0.05, indicating that the datawere normally distributed. The average pretest score was 47.25, and the posttestscore was 64.45. Hypothesis testing using the paired sample t-test yielded asignificance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that H0 was rejected and Ha wasaccepted. It means that the PJBL model significantly influenced student creativity inthe IPAS material on Ecosystem Harmony in Grade V at SD Negeri 20 Sungailiat.

Abstract

This study addresses the underutilization of learning media, which predominantly relies on traditional textbooks. This approach often leads to a focus on reading rather than a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. The availability of internet access among students serves as a valuable resource for implementing digital-based interactive media in the context of teaching metamorphosis concepts. The primary objective of this research is to develop digital interactive media that are both valid and practical, and to assess their effectiveness in enhancing students’ comprehension of the metamorphosis of living things. This research adopted a Research and Development (R&D) framework based on the ADDIE development model. The study sample consisted of third-grade students from SD Negeri 3 Payung. Data collection methods included interviews, questionnaires, and assessments, specifically pretests and posttests. Data analysis focused on evaluating the validity, practicality, and potential impact of the developed media. The results from the media validity assessment indicated an 88% rating from material experts and an 86% rating from media experts, both classified as “very valid.” The practicality assessment yielded a rating of 98% in small groups, 92.2% in large groups, and a full approval rating of 100% from educators, all categorized as “very practical.” Furthermore, the paired sample t-test results demonstrated a significance level of 0.000 (2-tailed), indicating a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. Additionally, the media showed a potential effect value of 0.76, categorized as “high.” Thus, the digital-based interactive media developed for the subject of metamorphosis of living things in the IPAS curriculum for Grade III at SD Negeri 3 Payung is recognized as effective in improving students’ understanding and academic performance.
