Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran animasi pada materi sistem pengisian baterai dalam mata kuliah teknik kelistrikan otomotif guna meningkatkan efektivitas dan pemahaman peserta didik di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Masalah yang diidentifikasi dalam pembelajaran konvensional mencakup keterbatasan modul dan video daring yang kurang interaktif serta ketergantungan pada koneksi internet. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Hasil validasi oleh ahli desain, ahli media, dan ahli materi menunjukkan bahwa media animasi yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan, dengan persentase kelayakan di atas 90%. Uji kepraktisan dan kemenarikan oleh mahasiswa menunjukkan hasil sangat praktis (92,58%) dan sangat menarik (91,42%). Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa media pembelajaran animasi dapat menjadi solusi inovatif dalam menjelaskan materi teknis secara visual, meningkatkan motivasi belajar, dan memudahkan pemahaman konsep sistem pengisian baterai. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan media ini penting untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran teknik otomotif secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

The national energy transition demands vocational teacher candidates who are technologically literate in electric vehicle systems, including Battery Management Systems (BMS). This study aims to map the technology literacy level and pedagogical readiness of Mechanical Engineering Education students at Universitas Negeri Gorontalo regarding electric vehicle BMS technology. An exploratory descriptive quantitative design was employed with purposive sampling on sixth and eighth semester students who had completed the Automotive Electrical Systems course. Data were collected using two instruments: a BMS Cognitive Literacy Test (20 multiple choice items covering BMS functions, battery protection systems, and cell balancing) and a Pedagogical Readiness Scale measuring students' self-efficacy in teaching BMS technology at vocational high schools. Instruments were validated through expert judgment, and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with percentage interval categories. Results show a mean cognitive test achievement of 61.5% (Fair category), with thermal management and State of Health (SoH) algorithm items recording the highest difficulty levels. The mean Pedagogical Readiness Scale reached 3.42 out of 5.00 (Fairly Ready category). A significant gap was found between students' limited technical understanding and their high pedagogical motivation and awareness. These findings imply the need to structurally integrate electric vehicle BMS content into the Automotive Electrical Systems curriculum to produce competent vocational teacher candidates relevant to the demands of the renewable energy based automotive industry.

Abstract

The gap between the competencies of education-based vocational graduates and industry needs remains a concern, particularly because graduates are often perceived as less competitive than diploma (D3/D4) or pure Mechanical Engineering graduates. This study aims to map the competency gap of Mechanical Engineering Education graduates against industry needs in the Society 5.0 era, while also examining its relationship with study program curriculum coverage. This study used a quantitative-dominant mixed-methods design, involving total sampling of one representative respondent from each of 10 companies that had previously employed graduates, as well as 53 alumni of the Mechanical Engineering Education study program, complemented by industry interviews and curriculum document analysis. Data were analyzed using a gap score (the difference between industry importance level and alumni mastery level), the Mann-Whitney U test, Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), and triangulation with the coverage status of competencies in the Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL). The results show that the competency gap is dominated by soft skills (mean gap 0.45) and Society 5.0 technological competencies, particularly basic understanding of the Internet of Things (gap=1.06; p<.001), while basic engineering hard skills show a small gap (mean gap 0.02) and even a negative gap on several indicators. Competencies that are only implicitly covered in the CPL/CPMK show an average gap nearly four times larger than those explicitly covered. This finding is confirmed by industry interview results that highlight the gap between theoretical knowledge and real practical experience. The study concludes that strengthening graduate competencies should be directed toward formulating more explicit learning outcomes, accompanied by the implementation of project-based learning and practical experiences that involve industry more intensively. ABSTRAK Kesenjangan antara kompetensi lulusan pendidikan vokasi berbasis kependidikan dengan kebutuhan industri masih menjadi persoalan, terutama karena lulusan sering dipersepsikan kurang kompetitif dibanding lulusan D3/D4 atau Teknik Mesin murni. Penelitian ini bertujuan memetakan kesenjangan kompetensi (competency gap) lulusan Pendidikan Teknik Mesin terhadap kebutuhan industri pada era Society 5.0, sekaligus menelusuri keterkaitannya dengan cakupan kurikulum program studi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain mixed-methods dengan dominasi kuantitatif (quantitative dominant), melibatkan total sampling terhadap satu responden perwakilan dari masing-masing 10 perusahaan yang pernah menerima lulusan, serta 53 alumni Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin, dilengkapi wawancara industri dan analisis dokumen kurikulum. Data dianalisis menggunakan gap score (selisih tingkat kepentingan industri dan tingkat penguasaan alumni), uji Mann-Whitney U, Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), serta triangulasi dengan status cakupan kompetensi dalam Capaian Pembelajaran Lulusan (CPL). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesenjangan kompetensi didominasi oleh aspek soft skills (gap rata-rata 0,45) dan kompetensi teknologi Society 5.0, khususnya pemahaman dasar Internet of Things (gap=1,06; p<0,001), sementara hard skills dasar kerekayasaan justru memiliki gap yang kecil (gap rata-rata 0,02) bahkan negatif pada beberapa indikator. Kompetensi yang hanya tercakup implisit dalam CPL/CPMK memiliki gap hampir empat kali lebih besar dibanding yang tercakup eksplisit. Temuan ini dikonfirmasi oleh hasil wawancara industri yang menyoroti kesenjangan antara pengetahuan teoritis dan pengalaman praktik nyata. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penguatan kompetensi lulusan perlu diarahkan pada perumusan capaian pembelajaran yang lebih eksplisit, disertai implementasi pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan pengalaman praktik yang melibatkan industri secara lebih intensif.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Vocational High Schools (SMK) in responding to the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). A total of sixteen relevant sources published between 2020 and 2023 were analyzed to obtain a comprehensive understanding of teacher readiness, digital infrastructure, project-based learning (PjBL), and the alignment between schools and the industrial sector (DUDI). The findings show that although the Merdeka Curriculum is conceptually aligned with 21st-century competencies—particularly digital literacy, creativity, and problem solving—its implementation in SMKs remains constrained by limited teacher competence, inadequate technological facilities, and weak industrial partnerships. Project-Based Learning has been introduced but has not consistently resulted in authentic, industry-oriented projects. Furthermore, digital literacy among students and the digital readiness of schools are still at moderate levels, affecting the effectiveness of technology-based learning. The study concludes that strengthening teacher capacity, improving digital infrastructure, enhancing collaboration with industry, and ensuring deeper integration of PjBL are crucial for optimizing the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. These efforts are necessary to prepare vocational students to compete and adapt in the dynamic landscape of Industry 4.0.

Abstract

The development of local potential–based economies in rural areas continues to face various challenges, particularly in business management and the utilization of digital marketing by MSME actors. This condition is also experienced by the community of Bukit Hijau Village, Bulawa District, which possesses potential marine-based processed products that have not yet been optimally managed. This community service program aims to strengthen the capacity of local entrepreneurs in business management and digital marketing to enhance product competitiveness and expand market reach. The implementation method included partner needs identification through observation and interviews, business management training covering simple financial recording, production planning, and resource management, as well as digital marketing training through the use of social media and online marketplaces. These activities were supported by continuous monitoring and mentoring to ensure practical application of the materials. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ ability to manage business administration, enhancement in promotional content quality, and an increase in market reach and digital-based sales transactions. This community service program has a positive impact on strengthening business management practices and fostering sustainable economic empowerment for the Bukit Hijau Village community.

Abstract

PT. Royal Coconut Airmadidi merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di industri pengolahan kelapa menjadi tepung. Dalam proses produksinya, terdapat tujuh stasiun kerja yang dilakukan secara manual dengan postur kerja statis dalam waktu lama, yang berpotensi menyebabkan musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi postur kerja pada proses produksi tepung kelapa dengan menggunakan metode Workplace Ergonomic Risk Assessment (WERA) dan Novel Ergonomic Postural Assessment (NERPA). Evaluasi dilakukan terhadap tujuh stasiun yang dilakukan secara manual dan statis untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat risiko MSDs dan menentukan solusi ergonomis yang dapat mengurangi resiko terjadinya MsDs pada pekerja. Hasil evaluasi postur kerja menemukan stasiun kerja dengan skor akhir tertinggi ada pada Grinder yaitu dengan skor 39 untuk WERA dan 6 NERPA dengan tindakan perbaikan segera serta investigasi lebih lanjut. Solusi yang tepat untuk memperbaiki postur kerja pada stasiun kerja Grinder, yaitu memodifikasi mesin grinding dengan menambahkan mekanisme dorong otomatis atau pintu yang dapat mengubah jalur daging kelapa masuk kedalam mesin grinding agar pekerja tidak perlu mendorong kelapa secara manual. Serta menyesuaikan tinggi conveyor agar sejajar dengan pinggang pekerja untuk mencegah pekerja tidak perlu membungkuk.Kata kunci: WERA, NERPA, Postur Kerja

Abstract

The alignment between conceptual mastery and teaching practice competence has rarely been examined in small classes through individual pattern analysis, leaving their relationship insufficiently understood. This study aimed to identify the alignment pattern between students' conceptual mastery and teaching practice competence in vocational education. A case study approach with qualitative analysis following the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model was employed using participation, assignment, midterm examination, and micro teaching assessment data. The findings revealed that all students with complete data demonstrated a positive alignment pattern, with teaching practice scores consistently exceeding conceptual mastery scores by 7–10 points. These results indicate that conceptual understanding develops into teaching competence through learning that integrates theory with authentic teaching practice. This study also proposes a conceptual model explaining the relationship among conceptual mastery, teaching practice competence, pedagogical implications, assessment improvement, and educational quality in vocational education. Abstrak Keselarasan antara penguasaan konsep dan kompetensi praktik mengajar masih jarang dikaji pada kelas berukuran kecil melalui analisis pola individu, sehingga hubungan keduanya belum dipahami secara komprehensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi pola keselarasan antara penguasaan konsep dan kompetensi praktik mengajar mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran kejuruan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus dengan analisis kualitatif model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña terhadap data partisipasi, tugas, UTS, dan micro teaching (UAS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh mahasiswa dengan data lengkap memiliki pola keselarasan positif, ditandai oleh capaian praktik yang secara konsisten lebih tinggi daripada capaian konseptual dengan selisih 7–10 poin. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan konsep berkembang menjadi kompetensi praktik melalui pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan teori dan pengalaman mengajar. Penelitian ini juga menghasilkan model konseptual yang menjelaskan hubungan antara penguasaan konsep, kompetensi praktik, implikasi pedagogis, pengembangan asesmen, dan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan kejuruan.
