Abstract

This research aims to apply the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm to count the number of chickens in an image using the You Only Look Once (YOLO) method. YOLO is a reliable and real-time object detection algorithm. This research uses a dataset of chicken images collected from farms. The images are then preprocessed to improve their quality before being used as input for the CNN model. The CNN model is trained using the backpropagation algorithm to minimize the loss function. The research results showed that the use of YOLO was successful in producing an application for calculating chicken density. Blackbox testing shows that the application created functions well and meets user needs and the results of the matrix evaluation test show an average accuracy of 84%.

Abstract

The Legal Documentation and Information Network (JDIH) serves a pivotal role in facilitating access to various legal products. This study aims to design and develop a web-based JDIH service using the Laravel framework, implemented at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Halu Oleo University. Laravel was selected for its efficiency, ease of management, and support for a Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture suitable for structured legal information systems. The development process follows the Waterfall methodology, encompassing stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The research resulted in a JDIH web application designed to facilitate legal information retrieval. The application includes features such as account management, regulatory documentation, abstracts, categories, tags, publication years, and document search and download functionality, accessible to the public. The system is administered by two user types: full-access administrators and sub-administrators with restricted management rights for legal content. Black-box testing confirms that all application features and functionalities perform according to specified requirements. This application is expected to enhance the management and retrieval of legal information within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, contributing to more efficient access and dissemination of legal resources

Abstract

Academic attendance is a crucial element in managing teaching and learning activities in higher education institutions. An efficiently and accurately designed attendance system contributes to optimizing student attendance records while supporting academic administrative processes. This study aims to design and develop a QR Code-based academic attendance system for the Computer Science Program at Halu Oleo University. The research employs a methodology that includes several stages: needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The needs analysis phase identifies issues within the current attendance system and determines the necessary features. The system design phase involves creating the user interface, workflow, and database structure. The system is implemented using the Laravel framework, and testing is conducted to ensure the system functions according to specifications. The results of this study indicate that the designed QR Code-based attendance system operates effectively. Students can simply scan the QR Code provided by the lecturer at each class session to record their attendance. Attendance data is automatically stored in the database, which can then be accessed by lecturers and academic administration for monitoring and reporting purposes.

Abstract

Program studi (Prodi) ilmu komputer merupakan salah satu Prodi yang ada di Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Halu Oleo. Prodi Ilmu Komputer menyimpan buku-buku secara fisik dan disimpan di dalam ruangan prodi, demikian juga dengan tugas akhir dari mahasiswa yang telah menyelesaikan studinya. Namun pengaksesan bacaan-bacaan seperti buku dan skripsi masih sulit diakses oleh Mahasiswa, pengaksesan dilakukan dengan cara menghubungi ketua Prodi untuk melakukan peminjaman buku atau pengunduhan skripsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan Content Managament System (CMS), Senayan Library Managament System (SLiMS) untuk merancang dan membangun sistem perpustakaan digital Program Studi Ilmu Komputer Universitas Halu Oleo yang telah melewati pengujian performance testing dan System Usability Scale (SUS). Metode pengembangan menggunakan Waterfall dan pengujian menggunakan Performance Testing serta System Usability Scale (SUS). Sistem perpustakaan digital menghasilkan pemulihan dan ketahanan terhadap pengaksesan 2500 users secara bersamaan selama 4 menit 10 detik. Demikian pengujian SUS menghasilkan rata-rata skor sebesar 70,6. Penilaian responden terhadap sistem perpustakaan digital dikategorikan C dengan persentil di atas rata,rata, Ok (adjective) dan mendekati batas penerimaan (acceptable), namun dari segi NPS bersifat pasif (passive).

Abstract

The thesis guidance process is an important part of the thesis process carried out by students. Guidance is carried out by involving a lecturer with the purpose of informing the achievements that have been achieved in writing the thesis. Based on the results of observations made, the thesis guidance process in the Computer Science Field of Study at Halu Oleo University is still carried out in person so that communication between students and lecturers often occurs. To efficient the process of monitoring the guidance of the thesis of Computer Science Field of Study Program students. ReactJs is a front-end library developed by Meta. The advantages offered by reactJs include speed, convenience and wide scalability. The purpose of this research is to produce an information system for monitoring services for thesis guidance at the Computer Science Field of Study using the ReactJS framework. The reason for choosing reactJs in this research is because of the advantages and advantages it provides. ReactJs can develop single page applications with speed, flexibility and wide scalability. Because of the advantages offered, the reactJs framework is able to help develop the thesis monitoring system more efficiently and quickly. Based on the results of functional testing conducted using blackbox has shown good results, as well as based on the results of testing using the system usability scale conducted on lecturers and students has shown a score of 87 out of 100 with excellent category and A scale for SUS testing lecturers and score 73 out of 100 with Good category and grade scale that is B on SUS testing students. With the level of acceptance for lecturers and students on an accpetable or acceptable scale.

Abstract

This study designs an IoT-based intelligent irrigation system using Fuzzy Logic to manage tomato plant watering. The system monitors soil moisture and temperature in real-time, automating irrigation to optimize water usage based on plant needs. Using the Fuzzy Sugeno method, it combines moisture and temperature data to determine watering duration. Key components include sensors, a microcontroller, an IoT module integrated with the Blynk app, and an automatic water pump. Testing shows the system functions effectively, detecting environmental changes with a 0.47% deviation from manual methods and achieving a 99.50% automation success rate.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the sentiment of online lending applications based on reviews on the Google Play Store using the Naïve Bayes and Support Vector Machine methods and determine which online lending applications are more trustworthy. AdaKami is an online lending application under the auspices of PT Pemfinaan Digital Indonesia. EasyCash is an online lending application which is a financial technology company owned by PT. Indonesia Fintopia Technology which provides a digital financial service portal, especially online lending. However, to determine whether this online lending application is reliable or trustworthy, it requires a collection of information that comes from previous user experience. The Naïve Bayes and Support Vector Machine methods are used to analyze loan application sentiment based on relevant review data which is processed using the Python programming language with Google Colabs as a tool for carrying out the research stage. The research results show that the Naïve Bayes and Support Vector Machine methods can be applied in analyzing the sentiment of online lending applications and based on the results of application analysis using the Naïve Bayes Adakami method, it is more trusted by previous users because it produces 95% positive review data and the Easycash application produces positive review data of 95%. 93% and the results using the Adakami Support Vector Machine method produced positive review data of 91% and the Easycash application produced positive review data of 83%.review data while the Easycash application produces 93% positive review data.

Abstract

In this study, an expert system has been developed for diagnosing skin diseases in cats using the forward chaining method. This system is designed to assist cat owners and veterinary health experts in identifying common skin diseases in cats based on observed symptoms. Forward chaining is used as the inference technique, where the system starts from the initial information or symptoms provided by the user and then progresses through relevant rules to reach a conclusion or diagnosis. The system utilizes a knowledge base consisting of various rules and facts about feline skin diseases. Testing results from 15 test data show that the system has an accuracy rate of 93% and an error rate of 7%. This indicates that the system has a high level of accuracy in diagnosing various types of skin diseases in cats and provides appropriate treatment solutions based on the generated diagnosis.

Abstract

Coral reefs are marine ecosystems that are highly vulnerable to damage and require regular monitoring of their health conditions. However, the manual classification process of coral reef health tends to be time-consuming. Therefore, this research aims to develop an application that implements a transfer learning model for classifying coral reef health based on digital images. This study utilizes three pretrained model architectures: DenseNet121, MobileNetV2, and EfficientNet-B0. Each model is trained and evaluated to measure its performance in classifying coral reef images. The best-performing model, DenseNet121, is then integrated into a mobile application for real-time classification. The evaluation results show that DenseNet121 achieved the highest accuracy compared to MobileNetV2 and EfficientNet-B0. The training data accuracy of DenseNet121 reached 98.80%, and the testing data accuracy was 98.25%.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a web-based TOEFL simulation application system using the RNG algorithm to randomize questions. The study was conducted using three different scenarios for different test types (listening, reading, and structure). The first scenario involved 10 trials for each test type to test the consistency and randomness of the algorithm used. The second test scenario was conducted to assess the quality of randomization when there was a large amount of data in the question bank stored in the database. The third test scenario was conducted to examine the results of randomization when there were two users with the same access time but different user IDs. The randomization process was carried out through a previously designed web application and used the MCG equation, one of the methods in the RNG algorithm. The results of the research conducted indicate that the use of the RNG algorithm using the MCG method can be applied well to the TOEFL simulation system. For example, the results of the first scenario test showed that in each trial, the resulting question order was different. For example, in the structure test, a question with a certain number may appear in position 18 on the first trial, but in subsequent trials it may shift to position 27 or 32; The test results also found that even though both users had the same access time, differences in User ID values caused different initial seed values. This small difference in seed values resulted in a significantly different question order.
