Abstract

This study identifies Gender-Based Violence (GBV) within the environment of Islamic Boarding Schools (Pesantren) and Islamic Schools as a systemic managerial failure, exacerbated by unequal power relations and weaknesses in the existing management system. The critical gap lies in the institutions' dependence on informal conflict resolution mechanisms (internal resolution), which is problematic due to the lack of clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), insufficient secure reporting channels (whistleblowing system), and a tendency to prioritize the institutional image over victim protection. Given the significant surge in GBV cases (e.g., 30 reported cases in the last three years), this research aims to formulate a robust and applicable Proactive Risk Management framework. The findings recommend a three-dimensional conflict management mechanism: the Preventive Dimension (through curriculum integration and codes of ethics), the Responsive Dimension (through the establishment of an independent Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force (Satgas PPKS), transparent SOPs, and firm sanctions), and the Protection Dimension (through psychosocial services and restitution for victims). The implementation of this framework is highly urgent to transform Islamic Education Management (MPI) and realize a safe, inclusive, and violence-free learning environment.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut lembaga pendidikan Islam untuk mampu beradaptasi dalam pengelolaan pendidikan agar tetap efektif dan relevan dengan perkembangan zaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepemimpinan dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan lembaga pendidikan Islam di era digital. Penelitian menggunakan metode library research dengan mengkaji berbagai jurnal ilmiah, buku, dan literatur yang berkaitan dengan kepemimpinan pendidikan Islam dan transformasi digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional berbasis nilai-nilai Islam memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan lembaga pendidikan melalui penguatan literasi digital, inovasi pembelajaran, dan pemanfaatan teknologi dalam manajemen pendidikan. Namun, transformasi digital masih menghadapi kendala berupa rendahnya kompetensi digital tenaga pendidik dan keterbatasan sarana teknologi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan kepemimpinan yang inovatif dan adaptif agar pengelolaan lembaga pendidikan Islam dapat berjalan secara optimal.

Abstract

In the era of digital disruption, Islamic educational institutions face the challenge of enhancing competitiveness while preserving Islamic educational values. This study aims to analyze the integration of strategic management and artificial intelligence (AI) in strengthening the competitiveness of Islamic educational institutions through a systematic literature review. Following a structured literature search protocol across academic databases and institutional repositories, 50+ peer-reviewed articles, policy reports, and scholarly publications from 2020 to 2026 were selected and analyzed using thematic content analysis. The findings reveal that the synergy between structured strategic management and AI adoption significantly enhances institutional competitiveness through data-driven planning, curriculum innovation, administrative efficiency, and adaptive transformational leadership. However, implementation remains constrained by limited digital infrastructure, gaps in AI literacy among human resources, and weak performance-based evaluation cultures. This study emphasizes that sustainable competitive advantage is achieved when Islamic educational institutions align modern governance, transparent management practices, and the internalization of Islamic values as a core value proposition. The findings offer a conceptual framework and practical recommendations for institutional leaders and policymakers to design adaptive, sustainable, and quality-oriented digital transformation strategies.
