Abstract

Employee performance is a crucial determinant of organizational competitiveness, particularly in the financial services industry. Although previous studies have established that transformational leadership, organizational commitment, and employee loyalty contribute to enhanced employee performance, empirical evidence within the Indonesian financing sector remains limited. This study aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership, organizational commitment, and employee loyalty on employee performance at PT. FIF Group, Tlogosari Branch, Semarang. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed using a census sampling technique involving all employees of the organization. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that transformational leadership, organizational commitment, and employee loyalty each have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Furthermore, these variables collectively provide substantial explanatory power in predicting employee performance. This study contributes to the human resource management literature by extending empirical evidence from the Indonesian financing industry and underscores the importance of strengthening transformational leadership practices, fostering organizational commitment, and enhancing employee loyalty to achieve sustainable organizational performance.

Abstract

This study examines employee perceptions of the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) audits, considering that audit effectiveness is closely related to employees’ understanding and acceptance of the process. Although SMK3 audits are regularly conducted, several audit findings indicate that improvements are still required in certain aspects of implementation. This research aims to analyze employee perceptions of SMK3 audit implementation, identify factors influencing these perceptions, and assess the impact of SMK3 audits on employee work behavior and safety compliance. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design at PT Hitachi Astemo Bekasi Powertrain Systems. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with employees involved in the SMK3 audit process, and documentation review. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive qualitative techniques to interpret employees’ experiences, views, and responses toward the audit process. The results show that employee perceptions of SMK3 audit implementation tend to be neutral to positive. Positive perceptions are influenced by employees’ understanding of audit objectives, management support, effective communication from auditors, and the presence of a strong safety culture. However, audit results identified that 15 out of 166 SMK3 criteria still required improvement, particularly in regulatory compliance, risk evaluation, training effectiveness, emergency preparedness, and workplace safety controls. Overall, SMK3 audit implementation contributes positively to improving safe work behavior, compliance with safety procedures, and employee productivity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of service quality ($X_1$) and sociodemographic characteristics ($X_2$) on patient satisfaction ($Y$) at the Wira Satya Polyclinic of the Mobile Brigade Unit, Yogyakarta Special Region Regional Police. Service quality and patients' sociodemographic characteristics were expected to influence their level of satisfaction with the healthcare services received. This study employed a quantitative method with descriptive and verificative approaches. The population comprised 375 patients who attended the Wira Satya Polyclinic of the Mobile Brigade Unit, Yogyakarta Special Region Regional Police, from August to December. The sample was determined using Slovin's formula with a 10% margin of error and selected through simple random sampling, resulting in 79 respondents. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression, t-tests, and an F-test with SPSS version 25. The results showed that: (1) service quality had a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction ($p = 0.000 < 0.05$), with a partial contribution of 21.5% ($R^2 = 0.215$); therefore, H1 was accepted; (2) sociodemographic characteristics had a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction ($p = 0.001 < 0.05$), with a partial contribution of 13.3% ($R^2 = 0.133$); therefore, H2 was accepted; and (3) service quality and sociodemographic characteristics jointly had a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction ($p = 0.000 < 0.05$; $F_{\text{calculated}} = 42.828 > F_{\text{critical}} = 3.09$), with a simultaneous contribution of 53.0% ($R^2 = 0.530$); therefore, H3 was accepted. The remaining 47.0% was influenced by variables outside this study. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that improving service quality and understanding patients' sociodemographic characteristics can increase patient satisfaction at the Wira Satya Polyclinic of the Mobile Brigade Unit, Yogyakarta Special Region Regional Police.
