Abstract

This study was conducted to determine whether or not there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning model on the ability to solve mathematical problems based on the gender of students of State Elementary School 21 Palembang. This study is included in the type of quantitative research with an experimental design. Data collection techniques using tests. Data analysis of this study used two-way anova. This study was conducted at State Elementary School 21 Palembang with a research sample of class V totaling 47 students/i divided into two classes, namely class Va experiment with 25 students and class Vb control with 22 students. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that There is a Significant Influence of the Problem Based Learning Model on Mathematical Problem Solving Ability obtained from H_oditolak and H_a accepted with a Sig value = 0.0009 <0.05. There is also no significant difference in the average mathematical problem solving ability based on gender with a sig value = 0.183 > 0.05. And there is no significant interaction between the learning model and gender on mathematical problem solving ability obtained a sig value = 0.307 > 0.05.

Abstract

The TGT (Team Game Tournament) learning model is an academic tournament that uses quizzes to determine individual student progress using a point system where students are selected as representatives of the group. This study aims to determine students' perceptions of the application of the TGT learning model in PKN learning. This research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires and interviews. The subjects of this study were all 28 students in grade III. The results of the study showed that the teams games tournament learning model was able to explore students' perceptions in PKN learning. This is indicated by some students stating that learning becomes more interesting, effective, and easy to understand. In addition, this learning model also encourages students to be more creative, active in discussions, and this study also shows that students who have high academic abilities tend to have a more positive perception of the TGT model. Based on the results of the questionnaire, 90% of students expressed positive perceptions of the teams games tournament learning model in PKN learning. Therefore, based on the results of the study, it is recommended that teachers can continue to develop and apply the teams games tournament model in PKN learning to increase student motivation and participation

Abstract

The low level of student interest in Indonesian vocabulary is the background of this study, which highlights the need for more interactive learning media than conventional methods. This study focuses on quantitatively determining the significant effect of audio-visual media use on the learning interest of third-grade students at SDN 148 Palembang. As a crucial step, this study employed an experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. The sample consisted of two randomly selected classes, with the experimental class receiving audio-visual media treatment. Data on learning interest were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using an independent t-test. The main findings indicated a highly significant difference between the two groups after treatment (p < 0.05), with the average learning interest in the experimental group (87.90%) significantly higher than that in the control group (54.60%). In conclusion, the use of audio-visual media has been shown to have a positive and significant effect on increasing student interest in Indonesian vocabulary, as reflected in the drastic increase in student interest after the intervention. ABSTRAKRendahnya minat belajar siswa pada materi kosakata Bahasa Indonesia menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini, yang menyoroti perlunya media pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dibandingkan metode konvensional. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk mengetahui secara kuantitatif pengaruh signifikan penggunaan media audio visual terhadap minat belajar siswa kelas III di SDN 148 Palembang. Sebagai langkah penting, penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas yang dipilih secara acak, di mana kelas eksperimen menerima perlakuan media audio visual. Data minat belajar dikumpulkan melalui angket dan dianalisis menggunakan uji-t independen. Temuan utama menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang sangat signifikan antara kedua kelompok setelah perlakuan (p < 0,05), di mana rata-rata minat belajar pada kelompok eksperimen (87,90%) jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (54,60%). Kesimpulannya, penggunaan media audio visual terbukti memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada materi kosakata Bahasa Indonesia, yang tercermin dari peningkatan drastis minat siswa setelah intervensi.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the Lack of Student Confidence Most students in grade III of SDN 95 Palembang feel less confident when speaking in front of the class, which hinders their ability to speak fluently and clearly. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Talking Stick learning model on students' speaking skills in Indonesian subjects in grade III of SDN 95 Palembang. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The data collection techniques used are tests and documentation. Based on the analysis of the results of the research that has been done, the researcher can conclude that the Talking Stick learning model has an effect on students' speaking skills. Student learning outcomes are higher when using the Talking Stick learning model. This is also shown in the results of the r count value which is smaller than the r table or r count 0.1450 <r table 0.9969. This means that the speaking ability of grade III students in Indonesian language learning at SDN 95 Palembang are included in the very good category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the form and structure of the Ponorogo Reog dance performance. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of theanalysis of research data on Ponorogo is a dance that grows and develops in the village of Tri Mulya Agung this dance is usually danced by seven people. Reog Ponorogo dance is usually performed at weddings, circumcisions, etc, this dance uses the dadak peacock property made of bamboo and rattan, and artificial horses made of woven bamboo, while the costumes use clothes, udengan, cute, sempyok, katok panji, stagen, sampur, jarik binggel sikel, and boroboro. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of flashcard learning media on elementary school students' mathematical concept comprehension based on gender. The method used in this study was an experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The subjects of this study consisted of two fourth-grade classes at SD Negeri 04 Rantau Panjang, namely the experimental class, which was given flashcard learning media, and the control class, which received conventional learning. The instrument used in this study was an essay test to measure students' mathematical concept comprehension abilities. The results of data analysis using a two-way ANOVA test showed that (1) there was a significant effect of flashcard learning media on students' mathematical concept comprehension ability; (2) there was no difference in the average mathematical concept comprehension ability based on students' gender; (3) there was no interaction between flashcard learning media and gender on students' mathematical concept comprehension ability. Thus, flashcard learning media proved to be effective in improving students' mathematical concept comprehension ability without any gender differences

Abstract

This study examines how Dulmuluk theater—a traditional performing art from Palembang, Indonesia—can be integrated into formal education as a medium for character development and social transformation. While recognized as cultural heritage, its pedagogical use in schools remains underexplored. A qualitative hermeneutic phenomenological approach was employed to understand the lived experiences of educators and students involved in Dulmuluk-based learning. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with 3 teachers and 6 students, documentation review, and audiovisual materials. Thematic analysis was used to interpret the data. Findings revealed that Dulmuluk theater effectively conveys moral values such as honesty, discipline, environmental awareness, respect for parents, social solidarity, and responsibility. These values are internalized through a three-stage process: understanding (exploration of scripts and character analysis), application (performance-based learning and collaboration), and habituation (reflection and behavior reinforcement). Students demonstrated improved moral reasoning, social interaction, and empathy through their engagement with the theater. The integration of Dulmuluk into character education aligns with constructivist and socio-cultural learning theories by fostering experiential, affective, and culturally relevant learning. It serves as a powerful tool for reinforcing local values, enhancing emotional literacy, and supporting inclusive, democratic learning environments. The study recommends formal curriculum integration and teacher training to support this approach.

Abstract

This study is based on the low level of reading comprehension skills and the less-than-optimal development of students' character in elementary schools due to learning methods that are still monotonous and teacher-centered. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the reading aloud learning model supported by character-building storybooks, both in improving engagement, reading comprehension, and students' character values. The method used is descriptive qualitative with research subjects consisting of fourth-grade students and a teacher at SD Negeri 2 Kayuagung. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing with validity testing through source triangulation. The results of the study show that the implementation of reading aloud can increase students' active engagement, help comprehension of reading content, and foster character values such as honesty, responsibility, and social awareness. In addition, the use of interesting storybooks containing moral values strengthens the process of character internalization in students. Thus, the reading aloud learning model supported by storybooks has proven to be effective as an alternative in literacy learning and character education in elementary schools.
