Abstract

Rumoh Nelayan Aceh is a fishermen's association based in Johan Pahlawan sub-district, West Aceh Regency. Obstacles often faced by partners include the use of conventional boats with manual exhaust systems using diesel fuel pumps and some others still using hand pumps. The use of technology that is still minimal makes fishermen have to pay special attention to the disposal of water that enters the boat, this situation takes up the fisherman's time with a divided focus. The use of components that are not environmentally friendly Some fishing boats already use a diesel-powered boat water exhaust system. The use of fuel oil is not good from an economic point of view and results in emissions that have a negative impact on the environment. Lack of knowledge about the use of cutting-edge technology. With these conditions, this program aims to improve the efficiency of the fishing process, the use of automation technology, the use of environmentally friendly energy, reduce production costs, and encourage fishermen's independence in facing the challenges of the modern fishing world.

Abstract

The Socialization of Communication, Information, and Education (KIE) for Disaster-Prone Areas in Aceh Barat Regency in 2024 aims to enhance public understanding and preparedness for various natural disasters, such as fires, earthquakes, and tsunamis. This activity is a collaboration between the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Aceh Barat and the Civil Engineering Department lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Teuku Umar. The socialization took place at SMP Negeri 2 Meureubo, with students as the main participants. The program included educational presentations about the risks and mitigation measures for different types of disasters and concluded with an earthquake simulation. The students participated enthusiastically, showing an intense interest in understanding how to protect themselves and respond correctly during a disaster. The earthquake simulation provided participants with the opportunity to practice their ability to react to emergency situations directly. The results of the activity demonstrated an increase in students' awareness and understanding of the importance of disaster preparedness. It is hoped that this program will be continuously implemented in other schools across Aceh Barat to help build a more resilient community in facing future disaster threats.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to compare the volumetric characteristics of asphalt concrete–binder course (AC-BC) mixtures using two types of asphalt binders, namely Pen 60/70 and PG 70, with stone ash as the filler. The research was conducted to determine the effect of asphalt type differences on the optimum asphalt content (OAC) and volumetric parameters that influence the stability and flexibility performance of asphalt mixtures. Testing was carried out using the Marshall method and nonlinear regression analysis of the second order to determine the OAC value and to evaluate density, voids in mix (VIM), voids in mineral aggregate (VMA), and voids filled with asphalt (VFA). The results show that the mixture with Pen 60/70 asphalt has an OAC of 5.40%, while that with PG 70 asphalt is 5.26%. The PG 70 mixture exhibits higher density and lower VIM, indicating a denser structure and greater resistance to permanent deformation, whereas the Pen 60/70 mixture shows a higher VFA value, reflecting better flexibility against fatigue cracking. Therefore, PG 70 asphalt is more suitable for high-traffic and high-temperature conditions, while Pen 60/70 is more appropriate for moderate traffic under relatively stable environmental conditions.Keywords:AC-BC; Pen 60/70 asphalt; PG 70 asphalt; stone ash; volumetric parametersAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan karakteristik volumetrik campuran asphalt concrete–binder course (AC-BC) dengan 2 (dua) jenis aspal pengikat, yaitu Pen 60/70 dan PG 70, menggunakan filler stone ash. Kajian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan jenis aspal terhadap kadar aspal optimum (KAO) serta parameter volumetrik yang menentukan kinerja stabilitas dan fleksibilitas campuran beraspal. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan metode Marshall dan analisis regresi nonlinier orde dua untuk menentukan nilai KAO serta mengevaluasi kepadatan, void in mix (VIM), void in mineral aggregate (VMA), dan void filled with asphalt (VFA). Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa campuran dengan aspal Pen 60/70 memiliki KAO sebesar 5,40%, sedangkan aspal PG 70 sebesar 5,26%. Campuran dengan PG 70 menunjukkan kepadatan lebih tinggi dan VIM lebih rendah, menandakan struktur yang lebih rapat dan stabil terhadap deformasi permanen, sementara Pen 60/70 memiliki VFA lebih besar yang menunjukkan fleksibilitas lebih baik terhadap retak akibat beban berulang. Dengan demikian, aspal PG 70 lebih direkomendasikan untuk kondisi lalu lintas padat dan temperatur tinggi, sedangkan Pen 60/70 sesuai untuk lalu lintas sedang pada lingkungan yang relatif stabil.Kata kunci:AC-BC;  aspal Pen 60/70;  aspal PG 70;  stone ash;  parameter volumetrik

Abstract

Perkembangan transportasi berdampak pada meningkatnya pergerakan manusia, barang, dan jasa. Peningkatan sarana dan prasarana transportasi dengan memperhatikan keseimbangan antara keduanya melibatkan berbagai jenis moda transportasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat pelayanan dan kinerja simpang Duta Kaca, Jln. Teuku Umar, Kampung Ujung Kalak, Meulaboh, menggunakan Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI) 2023. Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan. Pengambilan data dilakukan selama 8 jam per hari yaitu Senin, Kamis, dan Minggu pada jam-jam puncak, dengan pengukuran volume lalu lintas, tundaan, dan panjang antrian pada setiap lengan simpang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa simpang tersebut mengalami arus puncak lalu lintas dihari Minggu, pukul 16.00 -17.00 WIB, mencapai 2028 kendaraan. Kapasitas simpang dihitung menggunakan berbagai faktor, total kapasitas simpang adalah 3.613 smp/ jam. Nilai Dj diperoleh sebesar 0,19 menunjukkan bahwa simpang tersebut sudah memenuhi kapasitas ideal, dengan tundaan lalu lintas rata-rata (  = 2,87 detik) dan tundaan geometrik (  = 4.03 detik). Tundaan simpang total (T = 6,89 detik) dengan peluang antrian sekitar 2,46% - 8,39%. Berdasarkan parameter tersebut, tingkat pelayanan simpang dikategorikan dalam kelas B menunjukkan bahwa kemungkinan terjadinya antrian lalu lintas relatif aman. Maka disimpulkan bahwa simpang empat Duta Kaca kinerjanya dalam keadaan baik dan stabil sesuai dengan persyaratan sebagaimana dalam PKJI 2023.
