Abstract

An information system integrates people, hardware, software, and data networks that continuously interact to store, collect, process, and distribute information to achieve organizational goals. An accounting information system is designed to collect, record, store, and process data from routine accounting transactions. The object of this research is Victory Education Center, which operates as a non-formal education service provider. This research aims to understand the accounting information system for cash receipts and disbursements applied by Victory Education Center, to determine whether the system is implemented according to procedures, and to identify methods to prevent cash fraud and embezzlement at Victory Education Center. In this study, the author uses a descriptive analysis method. The data sources include both primary and secondary data. The results show that the accounting information system for cash receipts and disbursements still relies on Microsoft Excel, which affects the accuracy of financial data and increases the time required to prepare financial reports for Victory Education Center. Additionally, no cash receipts and disbursement plans are in place, making it impossible to predict the annual cash inflows and outflows. Human resources are not optimally utilized, as some staff are working outside their areas of expertise, there is no segregation of duties between those receiving cash and those recording transactions, and financial reports are not audited because no specific department is assigned to perform such audits.

Abstract

Tanah Merah Village is one of the Fourfinger threadfin fish-producing areas. Most of the population works as fishermen as the basis of their economic income. Fourfinger threadfin fish is the main fishery commodity and has high economic value, thus encouraging the sustainable use of Fourfinger threadfin resources. This research aims to analyze the product flow, information, and finance mechanism in the supply chain of fourfinger threadfin (Eleutheronema tetradactylum) from Tanah Merah Village, Tanah Merah District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The method used was in-depth interviews with a qualitative approach. The research results show that the flow of fourfinger threadfin fish products is spread across four provinces on the island of Sumatra. The payment systems used are cash, bank transfers, and loans. The selling price of delighted fish at the fisherman level is IDR 45.000/kg, and at the end consumer IDR 55.000-70.000/kg. Five Senangin fish supply chain entities, namely fishermen, fishermen, collectors, retailers, and final consumers form 3 chain patterns. The longest chain involves five entities and the shortest three entities. The farmer's share value for fishermen is relatively high at over 60%, with the highest value in chain three at 81.8%, indicating the most efficient chain. The product, financial, and information flow mechanisms have been running well. However, coordination and information integration still need to be improved to optimize the supply chain for fourfinger threadfin fish Tanah Merah Village

Abstract

Regulating the interval between pregnancies is crucial to preventing maternal and infant mortality. The National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) recommends delaying pregnancies to support women of reproductive age in achieving healthier maternal outcomes. However, limited interest in using Intrauterine Devices (IUD) is influenced by factors such as knowledge and attitudes. This study aims to evaluate the impact of IUD family planning counseling on attitudes and interests among prospective family planning acceptors. This quantitative study employs a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The study population included 55 postpartum mothers, with a sample of 51 participants selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using the Nonparametric Wilcoxon Test. Results revealed a statistically significant improvement in attitudes (p-value = 0.000) and interest (p-value = 0.000) following counseling, as indicated by increased mean scores from 21.75 to 27.61 for attitudes and 9.28 to 13.73 for interest. These findings demonstrate that IUD counseling effectively enhances positive attitudes and interest in using long-term contraceptive methods. The study concludes that comprehensive IUD counseling is essential in increasing acceptance of IUD as a contraceptive method. The findings suggest that healthcare providers should adopt tailored, evidence-based counseling approaches to overcome misconceptions and foster supportive environments for women, including engaging family members, particularly spouses. These efforts can contribute to reducing maternal and infant mortality rates through informed contraceptive choices.

Abstract

The meaning of colors has been widely researched in various disciplines. In design, understanding the contextual meaning of color influences design decisions and, hence, is important design information. This research aimed to compile information about the meaning of colors that can be used as design information in design tools so that users can choose the right color palette. This research used a qualitative approach by conducting a contextual document review of reference books about color. Data collection was carried out by identifying relevant data regarding the meaning of colors. The data collected included color association, positive-negative meanings, and cultural links. Although the information derived from these three sources varied in terms of information themes, we could observe some consistent meanings shared by the sources. This research output can be implemented as design information in design tools such as web-based color palette generation applications, graphic design tools and others. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide comprehensive guidance in choosing an appropriate color palette based on the meaning of the colors contained.

Abstract

Building an integrated electronic-based government system in personnel management is very important today. Transformation of the personnel management service process based on information technology is a mandate from the Regulation of the Head of BKN Number 20 of 2008 concerning the Personnel Service Application System (SAPK). Proposals for promotion are one form of service that is currently carried out through SAPK. The Regional Office XI BKN Manado has the responsibility in the process of determining the decision letter for the promotion of Civil Servants. This study was conducted to describe the existence of SIASN in the timeliness of determining the decision letter for the promotion of Civil Servants at Agencies in the Work Area of the Regional Office XI BKN Manado and what aspects cause delays in determining the decision letter for the promotion of Civil Servants. By using a qualitative design, it was found that there were slight weaknesses in the criteria for bureaucratic compliance (compliance) which can be seen from the delay in the signing stage of the decision letter for the promotion by the authorized official even though the SIASN operator had tried to be on time. The delay in signing the SKKP, although not caused by the dysfunction of the SIASN system, this obstacle still has a significant impact on the credibility of SIASN as a system designed to accelerate the promotion process.
