Abstract

Nursing care management improves the centralized nursing information system by ensuring accurate documentation, efficient workflows, and better technology training, as well as supporting clinical decision-making with quality data. This study aims to assess the impact of nursing care management implementation on the improvement of the centralized nursing information system at IS Makassar Hospital in 2023. A quasi-experimental design with pretest and posttest was used, involving a control group, with a sample size of 110 nurses from 4 inpatient wards participating in the study through total sampling. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test and independent paired t-test. The results showed a significant impact of nursing care management implementation on the centralized nursing information system. The intervention group had a p-value of 0.002, and the difference between the intervention and control groups showed a p-value of 0.0002. These findings indicate that structured nursing care management improves nurses' documentation skills and knowledge. It is recommended to explore the optimization of continuous training for nurses in the use of the centralized nursing information system, and to conduct a long-term evaluation of the impact of nursing care management implementation on the quality of documentation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of cloud-based management information systems in improving operational efficiency in logistics sector companies. Along with technological developments, logistics companies face challenges in managing increasingly complex data and operations. The implementation of cloud-based systems offers a solution to simplify the process by increasing flexibility, speed of access, and reducing IT infrastructure costs. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study and library research approach. Data is collected through literature reviews involving various sources such as journal articles, books, and industry reports related to the implementation of cloud systems in the logistics sector. An analysis of the literature shows that companies that implement cloud-based systems have successfully improved operational efficiency through reduced processing times, workflow automation, and better collaboration capabilities between teams. In addition, cloud-based systems also allow companies to manage data in a more secure and structured manner. However, the study also found several challenges, such as data security risks and reliance on a stable internet network. Therefore, the successful implementation of a cloud-based management information system is highly dependent on good infrastructure readiness and risk management. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the development of cloud system implementation strategies in the logistics sector, as well as provide guidance for companies in maximizing operational efficiency through information technology.

Abstract

Measuring performance solely by relying on returns is probably not enough, it is important to consider both returns and risks. Some measurement methods that consider both of these factors are the Sharpe Ratio index, Treynor Ratio, Jensen Alpha, and Information Ratio. Risk analysis using Value at Risk Monte Carlo simulation is also important to determine the potential for extreme risks. The purpose of this study is to provide a good understanding of the performance and risk of mutual fund investments. Based on the performance results, Schroder is the most superior mutual fund, with the highest Information Ratio, Sharpe Ratio, and Jensen Ratio, indicating that they are able to generate good returns considering the risks taken. However, Schroder also has the highest VaR, meaning it has the potential for large losses in the worst market conditions. On the other hand, MNC is at the bottom in almost all performance methods, indicating poor performance with low returns and lower risks.

Abstract

The pandemic has opened the opportunity for local skincare brands to launch their variants in social media. The proliferation of communication about the brands and its variants in social media provides consumers with sufficient even overload of information to make purchase decision. The information overload from the preferred brand and also from other brands might create confusion among consumers and have impact to the purchase intention of local skin care brands in Indonesia. Using TPB theory and dimensions of brand equity as the antecedent for attitude toward local skin care, this study aims to determine whether information overload will have influence on purchase intention when the products are sold in social media. Using PLS-SEM, this study shows that information overload does not give a moderation effect on purchase intention.

Abstract

Hospital Information System (HIS) is an important component in supporting effective and efficient health services. Evaluation of the maturity of information systems is needed to ensure that the implementation of SIRS is in accordance with the standards and needs of the organization. This study aims to evaluate the maturity level of information systems at Amanah Hospital using the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) version 3 framework, specifically in the Service Operation domain. The research method uses a quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires distributed to respondents involved in managing information systems. The evaluation was carried out on five subdomains, namely Event Management, Incident Management, Request Fulfillment, Problem Management, and Access Management. The results showed that the maturity level of the Amanah Hospital information system was at level 3.81 (Managed), with the highest value in the Incident Management and Access Management subdomains (4.00), while the lowest value in Event Management and Request Fulfillment (3.66). Based on these results, several improvements are recommended including the development of an integrated monitoring system, strengthening operational procedures, improving HR competencies, and implementing more structured periodic evaluations to achieve an optimal level of maturity.

Abstract

Sekolah Alam represents one of Bajulmati Sea Turtle Conservation (BSTC) inisiatives to disseminate knowledge through education and training regarding sea turtle conservation to a broader audience. This programme is conducted at the Bajulmati Beach conservation area, which has been developed into several ecotourism sites. Those participating in the programme will gain insight into the benefits of conservation and the importance of protecting sea turtles and their habitats. Following the site observation to the conservation area of this community service programme, it was identified that the education and training materials on sea turtle conservation in the form of posters, guidebook, and oral delivery method, represented a significant concern. Prior research has indicated that the use of infographics, or information graphics, has become a popular method of disseminating information, particularly when the subject of the information is complex. Infographics have been employed in various fields, and are even highly recommended for use in the context of learning and information dissemination. Consequently, the utilisation of infographics in addressing visual communication challenges encountered in this community service programme, in the field of ecotourism, should also be effective. This article outlines the design process of the infographics, which will serve as a supporting medium for the facilitation of learning and transfer of information about sea turtle conservation at Sekolah Alam of BSTC.

Abstract

Software testing is a critical phase in information system development to ensure the system's quality and reliability. This study aims to evaluate the reliability and functionality of PT Perta Sakti Abadi's financial information system using the black-box testing method with the Equivalence Partitioning (EP) technique. This technique allows input data to be grouped into valid and invalid categories, minimizing test cases without reducing testing coverage. The testing focuses on the login feature as the system's primary component by evaluating various input combinations. The testing scenarios include boundary conditions to ensure the system handles inputs correctly in various situations. The results indicate that the system successfully verifies valid credentials, rejects access with invalid data, and provides informative error messages. Additionally, the system demonstrates resilience in handling testing scenarios, including inputs with special characters and empty fields. Input validation mechanisms function optimally, supporting secure user access and ensuring the login feature aligns with functional specifications. This successful testing forms a strong foundation for testing other modules, such as multi-level authentication and data encryption. Thus, the Equivalence Partitioning technique within the black-box testing method proves effective in enhancing the quality of web-based financial information systems.
