Abstract

Aim: This research’s main contribution is a social analysis of volunteered geographic information for Thais that uses mapping technology and scenario-based analysis. The community’s safety depends on its members having a thorough understanding of potential threats. It has yet to be widely acknowledged, especially in urban and industrial areas.Method: Both the geographic data and the statistical data associated with the local community are gathered from publicly available sources. The community risk map was created through spatial analysis. In this context, the map serves as a means of communication.Findings: The study results show that locals are aware of the dangers they face and are motivated to take action to reduce their risk. Population counts and social conditions can be inferred using demographic data from an open spatial point dataset, making this information essential for risk management and community issues.Implications/Novel Contribution: This research fills a gap in the literature by providing empirical evidence that social and demographic data can be derived from publicly available sources.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of malware poses a significant threat to devices, like personal computers and mobile phones. One of the most serious threats commonly faced is malicious software, including viruses, worms, trojan horses, and ransomware. Conventional antivirus software is becoming ineffective against the ever-evolving nature of malware, which can now take on various forms like polymorphic, metamorphic, and oligomorphic variants. These advanced malware types can not only replicate and distribute themselves, but also create unique fingerprints for each offspring. To address this challenge, a new generation of antivirus software based on machine learning is needed. This intelligent approach can detect malware based on its behavior, rather than relying on outdated fingerprint-based methods. This study explored the integration of machine learning models for malware detection using various ensemble algorithms and feature selection techniques. The study compared three ensemble algorithms: Gradient Boosting, Random Forest, and AdaBoost. It used Information Gain for feature selection, analyzing 21 features. Additionally, the study employed a public dataset called ‘Malware Static and Dynamic Features VxHeaven and VirusTotal Data Set’, which encompasses both static and dynamic malware features. The results demonstrate that the Gradient Boosting algorithm combined with Information Gain feature selection achieved the highest performance, reaching an accuracy and F1-Score of 99.2%.

Abstract

Aim: This research hopes to offer solutions to these issues based on real-world examples of data discrepancies between Japan and China. We’re building a database of information to close the gap in Japan and China’s understanding of each other across all disciplines.Method: However, it is challenging to implement a method that addresses all aspects of cross-cultural information gaps, so it is important to find a mechanism that satisfies the criteria for information quantity, immediacy, and practicality to address the intercultural knowledge gap.Findings: Results show that the proposed system constructs the knowledge base with the high-level immediacy to renew the information organically depending on the situation. This improves practical utility by storing information that broadly matches users’ needs. Through the use of artificial intelligence, it delivers content that is tailored to each user based on their current activity. Data can be stored, updated, and searched in the system, but that’s not all it can do. To fully realise the system’s interactivity, we integrate post/read/reuse functions for the user comments. As a result of this research, we will be able to implement a knowledge base to address issues with cross-cultural communication.Implications/Novel contribution: The innovative aspect of this study is that it proposes an immersive interface for consumers and expects it to be a powerful instrument for their cross-cultural exchange of ideas.

Abstract

Aim: This research aimed to examine the relationship between citations (Bibliometrics) and readers’ intentions (Altmetrics) for each type of scholarly document by applying altmetrics tools to measure their attitudes toward highly cited content in the field of information security.Method: Scopus was used to identify the most prolific types of documents published in the field of information security in the years 2014 and 2015, as this was thought to be an appropriate time frame for the scholarly production to be freely accessible in full text and, consequently, for the right to use and cite to be taken, as well as for the production to be used and interacted with across various social media channels. Among scholarly writing, conference papers, articles, and book chapters fared best. We picked the 20 most-cited articles from each document type to gauge reader intent and analysed them.Findings: This research found that articles received the most citations among all document types studied, followed by conference papers and book chapters. Articles that received the most citations also attracted the most reader intent. Given the interconnected nature of citations and goals, this finding makes sense. The correlation was impacted by the variety of documents used. Based on the data, it is clear that the articles are the ones to which the correlation between citations and attention is strong. The most interesting citations were for the articles about intentions.Implications/Novel contribution: This research significantly contributes to the body of literature because it provides detailed information about citations and article publications.

Abstract

A tele-referral system with a geographic information system (GIS) integrates telehealth services with spatial data to enhance healthcare delivery. Resource constraints can significantly impact the effectiveness of a tele-referral system with GIS. Addressing delayed or missed referrals is critical to ensuring timely patient care and improving health outcomes. Implementing a tele-referral system with GIS can significantly enhance healthcare delivery by leveraging spatial data and telehealth technologies to improve access, efficiency, and outcomes. One major issue is the lack of access to specialists, particularly in underprivileged communities. Patients face accessing specialized care due to a cumbersome referral process or long wait times, as well as the lack of patient engagement. The results showed that the GIS-enabled tele-referral system significantly reduced patient waiting times and improved the coordination of care. By incorporating these functionalities and strategies, the tele-referral system with GIS can effectively address issues related to delayed or missed referrals, ensuring timely patient care and improving overall health outcomes. By incorporating these strategies and functionalities, the tele-referral system with GIS can effectively address limited access to specialists, ensuring timely patient care and optimal use of available resources.

Abstract

The development of technology and information in the 21st century is increasing rapidly. Meanwhile, Indonesia's science literacy levels remain categorized as low. Science literacy is among the most essential skills in the 21st century, so integrated technology, information, and environment are fundamental. This research aims to understand the perception of teachers and students towards science literacy integrated with technology, information, and environmental literacy in Junior High Schools (SMP). This research falls under the quantitative category and employs an observational descriptive design. The sample in this study consists of three junior high schools in the Indramayu Regency, representing the Indramayu region's western, central, and eastern regions. The questionnaire instrument determines students' science literacy ability towards information, technology, and the environment. Meanwhile, interviews were used to determine teachers' and students' perceptions of information-based science literacy, technology, and the environment. The research data were obtained using both questionnaires and interview instruments. The study results reveal that the integration of science literacy with information, technology, and the environment achieved percentages of 69.42% for information-integrated science literacy, 70.98% for technology-integrated science literacy, and 73.89% for environment-integrated science literacy, highlighting varying levels of proficiency across these domains. Abstract

This is a descriptive-correlational study (Aming-Hayudini et al., 2024)that focuses on the extent of organizational information vis-ibility and ethical climate among employees of line agencies in Su-lu during Fiscal Year 2022. The results indicate that the over-whelming majority of the 200 respondent-employees were female, aged below 30 years old, with 5 or fewer years of service in the organization. Most of them were permanent employees, but nearly half are contractuals; most have completed a Bachelor's degree. In terms of organizational information visibility, the line agencies in Sulu manage information availability, approval, and accessibility at a high level. Similarly, the agencies exhibit a strong ethical climate, characterized by high ratings in egoism, benevolence, and princi-pled ethical dimensions. No significant differences in either organ-izational information visibility or ethical climate were found when data were analyzed by gender, age, length of service, appointment status, or educational attainment. Furthermore, a strong positive correlation is established between the sub-categories of organiza-tional information visibility: availability, approval, and accessibil-ity, and ethical climate: egoism, benevolence, and principled. These findings support the theoretical models by Stohl et al. (2016) on organizational information visibility and Martin & Cullen (2006) on ethical climate, which state that the proper management of or-ganizational information is very much associated with a positive ethical work climate in the line agencies of Sulu.

Abstract

Medical records are important documents that record patient information, including examinations, treatments, actions, and services. Article 46 paragraph (1) of the Medical Practice Law defines medical records as files containing patient identity, examination results, treatments, actions, and other services. Regulation of the Minister of Health No. 21 of 2020 concerning the Integration of Health Information Systems, in the Ministry of Health's Strategic Plan 2020-2024, emphasizes the importance of a fast, accurate, integrated, and electronic-based health information system. This study aims to develop an electronic medical record information system for creating web-based medical resumes, using Visual Studio Code, PHP, MySQL, and Laravel. The development method used is agile. The results of the study show that the application of the agile method in developing web-based medical resumes increases effectiveness and efficiency. The problem identified is manual medical resume writing, which is often illegible, making it less efficient. To overcome this, an electronic medical resume design was developed as part of an electronic medical record system, which allows for faster, timelier, and clearer medical resume creation. This medical resume management system is expected to increase efficiency and readability
