Abstract

Wabah Covid-19 yang melanda dunia telah memaksa pembelajaran di Indonesia dialihkan ke metode daring atau online. Dalam pembelajaran, evaluasi menjadi salah satu langkah untuk menentukan keberhasilan siswa dalam belajar. Salah satu aplikasi yang dapat digunakan secara gratis untuk membantu guru dalam membuat kuis dan survei online adalah Google Form dan Quizizz. Mitra yang terlibat dalam program ini adalah guru-guru di Madrasah Islam Swasta Al Jamiatul Ikhlas Kecamatan Datuk Bandar Kota Tanjungbalai dimana persoalan utama yang dialami mitra adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dalam penggunaan IT dalam memberikan evaluasi pembelajaran kepada siswa. Oleh karena itu, solusi yang ditawarkan adalah memberikan pelatihan online-based learning assessment untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru tentang pembuatan, penggunaan serta optimaliasi pengunaan google forms dan quizizz sebagai media eveluasi pembelajaran. Program ini terdiri dari tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, monitoring, dan evaluasi. Dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini, tim menerapkan metode in-house training. Evaluasi kegiatan ini dilakukan setelah program selesai dilaksanakan. Target utama pasca kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah bertambahnya pengetahuan guru-guru di sekolah mitra tentang pemanfaatan E-Learning dan online-based learning assessment melalui penggunaan google form dan quizizz dalam mendukung program Merdeka Belajar.

Abstract

Eva Fashion Clothing Store is a business selling goods that only sells various kinds of clothing products. In this shop, it is often difficult to predict future product inventory based on previously recorded data. So we need a system that can predict sales to prepare clothing stocks in the future. In developing this forecasting system, the author will use the Weighted Moving Average forecasting method. Forecasting using the weighted moving average method can predict how much stock of goods must be purchased for the next period. Forecasting calculations for the coming period are based on the calculation of the previous quarterly data and can also be done based on the selection of the desired period. The purpose of this research is to analyze forecasting inventory for sales of products or goods in the next period and to build a system in predicting future sales value to increase store business

Abstract

UMKM Desa Besilam merupakan salah satu organisasi swadaya masyarakat yang menjadi pengerak dalam roda ekonomi masyarakat desa. UMKM Desa Besilam sudah memiliki pekerja lebih dari 10 orang baik dari kalangan masyarakat umum maupun para pelaku usaha. Saat ini UMKM Desa Besilam melakukan produksi di bidang usaha dodol khas Desa Besilam dan produk kerajinan tangan berupa peci khas Desa Besilam agar dapat memberikan dampak yang cukup signifikan bagi roda ekonomi desa. Beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh kelompok ini seperti tidak adanya pengemasan produk yang baik dan memiliki nilai jual lebih. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh Tim Pengabdi ini untuk menyelesaiakan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra dengan penerapan Iptek yang dibuat untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan dengan cara pelatihan penggunaan website untuk media penjualan, serta pengemasan baru agar memiliki nilai ekonomi lebih. Iptek yang akan di implementasikan pada mitra adalah desain kemasan baru serta pelatihan penjualan. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah pemberdayaan masyarakat dengan konsep berbasis masyarakat kelompok produktif (Community base Education) yang dilakukan dengan Langkah berupa pencarian permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh UMKM Desa Besilam dan disepakati Bersama

Abstract

Seluruh dunia sedang berjuang untuk menyelamatkan diri dari dampak pandemi COVID-19. Sehingga kegiatan belajar mengajar, baik di tingkat sekolah dasar hingga perguruan tinggi, terganggu. Lambat laun kemajuan pembelajaran jarak jauh mulai menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan, salah satunya sulitnya sekolah dasar dan PAUD dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran praktik, seperti pembelajaran praktik mengaji seperti Iqra'. Dan semangat siswa menjadi kendor karena kurang antusias dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tatap muka seperti biasanya. Dengan menggunakan AR sebagai media pembelajaran alternatif, diharapkan suatu kegiatan pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik bagi anak-anak. Manfaat selanjutnya yang diperoleh adalah media pembelajaran yang lebih maju dengan memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi saat ini. Perancangan buku Iqra yang berisi huruf hijaiyah ini didesain dengan gambar dan panduan cara penulisan huruf hijaiyah yang mudah dipahami dan komposisi warna yang ramah anak, buku ini juga terkait dengan kepentingan lembaga pendidikan, karena fungsinya sebagai acuan dalam bidang teknologi informasi dan komputer serta desain visual. Pengayaan pengetahuan secara tidak langsung membantu meningkatkan kompetensi pendidik dan peserta didik.

Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran, evaluasi menjadi salah satu langkah untuk menentukan keberhasilan siswa dalam belajar. Salah satu aplikasi yang dapat digunakan secara gratis untuk membantu guru dalam membuat kuis dan survei online adalah Google Form, Persoalan utama yang dialami mitra adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dalam penggunaan IT dalam memberikan evaluasi pembelajaran kepada siswa. Oleh karena itu, solusi yang ditawarkan adalah memberikan pelatihan online-based learning assessment untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru tentang pembuatan, penggunaan serta optimaliasi pengunaan google forms dan quizizz sebagai media eveluasi pembelajaran. Lebih lanjut, pengetahuan tersebut dapat digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar siswa agar pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dengan dipadupadnakan dengan teknik pembelajaran konvensional atau off-line. Program ini terdiri dari tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, monitoring, dan evaluasi. Dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini, tim akan menerapkan metode in-house training. Pengertian in-house training disini adalah “pelatihan” yang pelaksanaannya bertempat di sekolah mitra, tempat di mana guru-guru melaksanakan pengajaran, bekerja sama dengan tim pengabdian. Dalam pelaksanaan pelatihan, tim pengabdian akan memberikan materi mengenai e-learning dan tutorial penggunaan google forms dan quizizz yang akan dilakukan selama 4 x pertemuan dan dilakukan bergantian dengan durasi masing-masing 120 menit. Selanjutnya, setiap akhir tahapan kegiatan dilakukan monitoring guna mengetahui apakah pelaksanaan program sesuai dengan rencana program yang telah dibuat. Kegiatan evaluasi dilakukan berdasarkan hasil monitoring dan temuan dilapangan untuk selanjutnya dilakukan tindak lanjut melalui perbaikan. Target utama pasca kegiatan pengabdian ini yang ingin dicapai adalah bertambahnya pengetahuan guru-guru di MTsS Nurul Ikhwan Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa tentang pemanfaatan E-Learning dan online-based learning assessment melalui penggunaan google form dan quizizz dalam mendukung program Merdeka Belajar. Lebih lanjut, hal ini dapat meminimalisir penggunaan kertas sehingga dapat mewujudkan pembelajaran yang green and nature-friendly. Keberlanjutan program ini dapat diukur dengan adanya aktivitas kegiatan lanjutan seperti blended-learning di sekolah mitra.

Abstract

The massive use of social media makes people take actions that have a negative impact on cyberspace, such as creating fake accounts that aim to commit crimes such as spam and fraud to spread false information. Fake accounts are difficult to detect in the traditional way because fake accounts always use photos, names, and unreal information, there are several criteria that can identify a fake account such as no information, few followers, and minimal activity. In the traditional model, it is difficult to detect fake accounts on many Twitters social media accounts, so the application of the deep learning model with the convolutional neural network (CNN) algorithm and the application of deep learning can help detect fake accounts. This study will use data on Twitter social media so that this research produces good accuracy for the scenarios described at the methodology stage. This research produces an accuracy of 86% for the deep learning model with the CNN algorithm, and with the traditional model, it produces an accuracy of 51% while the use of transfer learning produces an accuracy of 93.9%.

Abstract

Near Field Communication (NFC) technology has become ubiquitous in various applications, from contactless payments to data transfer between devices. As the use of NFC expands, ensuring the security of transmitted data becomes paramount. This research investigates the application of Hill Cipher, a linear algebra-based encryption technique, to enhance the security of data transmitted via NFC. In the field of contemporary wireless technology, near-field communication (NFC) stands out as an important force, enabling contactless transactions and the seamless exchange of information between electronic devices. This research explores the innovative integration of NFC into the attendance input process, which is linked to a website-based attendance system. NFC's adaptability, which was initially prominent in payment cards, has expanded across industries, empowering smartphones, tablets, and wearable devices. This study contributes to the ongoing development of NFC technology, proposing a renewable solution for student attendance systems. With a vision of increased efficiency, this research anticipates increased utilization of time and resources, thereby providing a promising path for the advancement of attendance management. A comprehensive evaluation of the proposed NFC data security solution was conducted through simulations and practical implementations. The research assesses the impact on communication speed, energy consumption, and overall system performance. Results indicate that the integration of Hill Cipher introduces a negligible overhead on communication speed, making it a viable option for real-time NFC applications. Furthermore, the study addresses potential vulnerabilities and threats associated with NFC technology, emphasizing the role of Hill Cipher in mitigating risks such as eavesdropping and unauthorized data interception. The research considers practical implementation challenges and proposes strategies for seamless integration into existing NFC-enabled devices. In conclusion, this research contributes to the ongoing discourse on NFC data security by introducing Hill Cipher as a robust encryption mechanism. The findings underscore the feasibility of implementing this encryption technique without compromising the efficiency of NFC communication. The proposed secure communication protocol holds promise for enhancing the privacy and integrity of data transmitted via NFC, fostering trust in the expanding ecosystem of NFC-enabled applications.

Attendance tracking is a critical aspect of educational and organizational management, with traditional methods often plagued by inefficiencies and inaccuracies. This research explores the implementation of Near Field Communication (NFC) tags as a modern solution for attendance data collection. The study aims to assess the effectiveness of NFC technology in improving accuracy, efficiency, and real-time access to attendance information. The research employed a mixed-methods approach, incorporating a pilot study in an educational setting. NFC tags were distributed to participants, allowing for contactless attendance registration. Data was collected through observations, user feedback, and system logs. Additionally, a comparative analysis was conducted between NFC-based attendance tracking and traditional methods. Findings indicate a substantial improvement in accuracy and efficiency with NFC tags compared to traditional methods. Real-time data access provided administrators with up-to-the-minute attendance information, enabling timely interventions and streamlined record-keeping. User feedback highlighted the ease of use and convenience of the NFC-based system.

Abstract

Structured and effective student governance is one of the keys to success in creating a dynamic and productive academic environment at the Politeknik Negeri Medan. In an effort to increase transparency and efficiency in the management of student activities, especially related to activities, competitions and scholarships, it is necessary to implement an integrated Student Performance and Governance Information System. This system will cover various student activities, from organizations, social activities, to self-development, as well as three main competition categories: Sports and Arts Competitions, and Academic Competency Competitions. Scholarship management is also the main focus to provide financial support to students who excel or need assistance. With this integration, Politeknik Negeri Medan can improve data management efficiency, strengthen supervision, and provide easier and faster access to all parties involved, thereby creating a learning environment that is more structured and oriented towards achieving academic and non-academic achievements.

Abstract

Politeknik Negeri Medan (Polmed) has various business units that support academic and non-academic activities. However, performance management and business governance of these units face various challenges, especially due to the use of manual and non-integrated systems. The main problems faced include inaccurate data, information delays, difficulties in monitoring and evaluation, and inefficient document management. This research aims to develop an integrated Performance and Business Governance Information System to collect data, manage and present business reports in the Polmed business unit. This system is expected to increase the accuracy and speed of data processing, facilitate access and presentation of information for management, and increase efficiency in monitoring and evaluating business unit performance. Apart from that, this system is also expected to optimize the management of business documents and reports. Through a research and development (R&D) approach, this system was designed and implemented by utilizing the latest information technology. The research results show that the implementation of this information system is able to overcome various existing problems, as well as support improved performance and governance of the Polmed business unit. Thus, this research makes a significant contribution in supporting the vision and mission of Polmed as a superior educational institution.
