Abstract

The Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) is an integral information system used in hospitals, significantly impacting the performance of both service providers and patients. Enhancing the implementation of HMIS, particularly through system updates, can facilitate easier processes and access for patients and service providers. Digitalizing HMIS enables the production of highly useful information that can be more effectively shared among healthcare workers at all levels of the healthcare organization. The current study utilized a cross-sectional design, involving a sample of 639 hospital employees from various districts and cities in Indonesia. The independent variables examined were the maturity of financing and network technology, while the dependent variable was the digitalization of the HMIS. Data collection was conducted via a structured questionnaire, and the collected data were analyzed using a linear regression test. The analysis revealed that both financing maturity (b= 1.24; 95% CI= 0.59 to 1.89; p<0.001) and network technology infrastructure (b= 1.64; 95% CI= 0.96 to 2.33; p<0.001) had a significant positive effect on HMIS digitalization. These results underscore the importance of adequate financing and robust network technology in advancing the digitalization of HMIS. The findings suggest that hospital administrators should prioritize securing mature financing mechanisms and investing in advanced network technology infrastructure to enhance HMIS digitalization. Improved digitalization of HMIS can lead to better information sharing and coordination among healthcare providers, ultimately improving hospital performance and patient care.

Abstract

Even more challenging for companies is keeping their financial statements honest in the face of increasingly complicated rules and intense competition in their respective industries. The temptation for management to resort to earnings management tactics to achieve short-term financial goals can be strong in such a scenario. This research project will look at infrastructure, transportation, and logistics-related IDX-listed firms from 2018 to 2022. It will look for patterns in earnings management as an influence of financial distress, information asymmetry, and CEO characteristics like narcissism and power. We will utilize internal control as a moderator to examine the relationship between earnings management and financial distress. Over the course of 5 years, 59 enterprises were selected via purposive samplingand 295 observations were obtained. For this research, we used panel data regression. The financial distress affected earnings management, but information asymmetry, CEO power, and CEO narcissism had no effect. Internal control may also moderate the association between earnings management and financial distress, according to the findings

Abstract

Software developers use a quality model as a guide to help them determine the quality factors of a software product they are designing. This study aims to validate a quality model for green information systems, or green IS, towards achieving eco-sustainability. Thus, this study aims to identify quality factors for green IS that will contribute to eco-sustainability. This study's methodology included two rounds of expert evaluation with four experts. Two strategies were deployed in each round to discover the quality factors. In the first round, the strategy was to take existing software quality factors and interpret them in the context of eco-sustainability. In the second round, existing eco-sustainability goals were adopted and clustered into categories; in this study’s context, quality factors were aligned with the eco-sustainability goals. An initial model consisting of 35 quality factors was synthesized from a green IS design framework, sustainable software, and social media literature. The experts presented and assessed the model in the first round. Thus, 18 quality factors have been selected for the next second-round review. Five quality factors— accuracy, completeness, accessibility, customization, and collaboration emerged from the second-round review. Each quality factor was aligned to the eco-sustainability sub-goals of eco-efficiency, eco-equity, and eco-effectiveness, which resulted in the development of a proposed model. The experts concluded that the revised model could be employed in a data collection survey since it closely resembles the green IS quality model for eco-sustainability.
