Abstract

Introduction. In the digital era, collections must meet university libraires’ user needs. One of the strategies is conducting information needs surveys. This study explores the role and importance of these surveys in collection development at the UPT Library of Timor University. Research Method. A qualitative approach was used, with data gathered through participatory observation, interviews, and recordings from purposively selected informants. Data Analysis. Data analysis was conducted by following Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results and Discussion. The study shows that information needs surveys are vital to aligning collections to meet user needs. However, challenges exist, such as limited librarian competence, budget constraints, and lack of coordination between library staff and users. Conclusion and Recommendations. Information needs surveys play a strategic role in collection development at Timor University Library. Optimizing their implementation through systematic and continuous processes is necessary to improve collection relevance, evaluation effectiveness, and support the library’s academic function. The optimization of collection development requires systematic surveys, librarian competence enhancement, good coordination, and regular collection evaluations.

Abstract

The usage of cloud storage is currently growing, particularly for media used for information storage. Information saved in cloud storage makes it possible for the owner of the cloud storage to access the Information without the owner's permission. The privacy of access and management of access to the information kept in the cloud storage becomes a problem and security risk when using that cloud storage because the owner cannot ensure that the stored information is only accessed by authorized parties. Access control management is necessary for information owners to guarantee the safety of the information they hold. To regulate access to information kept in cloud storage, this study intends to apply the Hierarchy Attribute-Based Encryption (HABE) technique. A hierarchical attribute base is used to encrypt and decode information saved in cloud storage through the application of HABE, making hierarchical attributes the essential element in controlling access to the information. The hierarchical structure utilized to manage access control for information security will also be detailed in this research. This implementation procedure is completed before the information is stored in cloud storage. The mathematical computations used to secure text information during the encryption and decryption operations are described in the HABE implementation method and debate. By using Hierarchy Attribute-Based Encryption, security concerns with cloud storage can be resolved and flexible access control management in compliance with corporate standards is made possible.

Abstract

Access by KAI is an application that focuses on ordering train ticketswhich was developed and published by PT Kereta Api Indonesia as KAIAccess since 2014. As a train ticket ordering application, the Access byKAI application has around 12,419,711 registered users with a totalnumber of users. There are 6,101,343 active ones. With that many users,the Access by KAI application currently has a rating of 1.6/5 on theAppstore and 2.2/5 on the Playstore (as of December 1, 2023). Based onthe explanatory description, this research aims to find out what variablessupport or influence user satisfaction and intentions to continue using theAccess by KAI application as a train ticket booking application. Thisresearch applies quantitative methods using an integrated informationsystem success model (ISSM) and technology acceptance model (TAM).Data collection in this research was carried out through distributingquestionnaires using Google Form by applying purposive samplingtechniques. The target respondents are Access by KAI application usersaged 17 to 65 years who have experience ordering train tickets on theAccess by KAI application. From the results of distributing thequestionnaire, 234 respondents were obtained, which was then analyzedusing partial least squares - structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM)using SmartPLS 4 software. From the research analysis carried out, theresults were that ten hypotheses were accepted and five hypotheses wererejected.

Abstract

Abstrak Kementerian Kesehatan RI mulai mengintegrasikan dan merevitalisasikan pelayanan kesehatan primer yang bertujuan menguatkan pelayanan kesehatan primer dengan mendorong peningkatan upaya promotif dan preventif. Integrasi diselenggarakan dengan mendekatkan pelayanan kesehatan melalui jejaring hingga ke tingkat desa/kelurahan, dengan sasaran seluruh siklus hidup. Saat ini kegiatan posyandu Integrasi Layanan Primer (ILP) merupakan program kebijakan dari Kementerian Kesehatan RI yang masih baru dilaksanakan. Desa Karangrejo merupakan salah satu Desa yang melaksanakan kegiatan Posyandu ILP. Transformasi pelayanan kesehatan di posyandu saat ini fokus pada 5 langkah, yaitu pendaftaran, penimbangan dan pengukuran, pencatatan dan pemeriksaan, pelayanan kesehatan dan penyuluhan, serta validasi dan sinkronisasi data hasil pelayanan, berupa adanya kunjungan rumah, kelas ibu hamil, dan kelas ibu balita. Berdasarkan identifikasi masalah dari hasil observasi pelayanan kesehatan Posyandu ILP di Desa Karangrejo kenyataan dilapangan partisipasi masyarakat baik balita, remaja maupun lansia masih belum semua sasaran terpenuhi, masih tercapai sebesar 80 %. Selain itu diketahui dari sistem informasi pencatatan data pada posyandu ILP masih bersifat manual sehingga pengolahan data dan informasi masih mengalami beberapa kendala terutama dari segi akurasi dan efektifitas. Oleh karena itu kegiatan ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan kegiatan pengolahan data sistem informasi manajemen Posyandu ILP di Desa Karangrejo. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengidentifikasi Pengelolaan Data Sistem Informasi Manajemen Posyandu ILP di Desa Karangrejo, khususnya mengetahui pencatatan dan pelaporan data Posyandu ILP. Fokus Sistem Informasi Manajemen Posyandu ILP yaitu tata kelola pelaksanaan pencatatan dan pelaporan data posyandu ILP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan dan metode kualitatif.  Lokasi penelitian berada di Desa Karangrejo, Kecamatan  Ngasem Kabupaten  Kediri dilaksanakan bulan Mei – Juli 2024. Peneliti menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan interaktif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa wawancara terstruktur, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Objek penelitian adalah kader posyandu dengan observasi dan wawancara langsung dengan petugas posyandu. Teknik analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Validitas data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode. Hasil Kegiatan Posyandu ILP di Desa Karangrejo sudah berjalan dengan baik dengan dukungan berbagai pihak termasuk partisipasi masyarakat tetapi dalam pengelolaan data perlu pengembangan dalam pengelolaan data sistem informasi menajemen posyandu ILP. Adanya sistem informasi merupakan salah satu solusi terbaik untuk mengatasi masalah pencatatan yang sering terjadi seperti kehilangan data, karena dengan adanya sistem ini, semua data tersimpan dalam database dan pengolahannya menjadi lebih cepat. Oleh karena itu ada gagasan membuat rancangan sistem informasi pencatatan data pelayanan posyandu ILP berbasis desktop dengan tujuan mempermudah pengolahan data pelayanan yang ada di posyandu ILP. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mengoptimalkan pengelolaan data sistem informasi manajemen posyandu ILP, dapat membantu posyandu dalam pengelolaan data dengan lebih efesien dan cepat, dapat mempermudah dalam penginputan data baik dari pengolahan data yang membutuhkan waktu lama, pembuatan laporan dan menghindari data yang rusak, hilangnya data, serta penumpukan data. Manajemen data Sistem Informasi Posyandu sangat baik bagi pengembangan Sistem informasi untuk peningkatan mutu layanan posyandu di Desa Karangrejo. Abstract The Indonesian Ministry of Health has begun to integrate and revitalize primary health services with the aim of strengthening primary health services by encouraging increased promotive and preventive efforts. Integration is carried out by bringing health services closer through networks to the village/sub-district level, targeting the entire life cycle. Currently, Primary Care Integration (ILP) posyandu activities are a policy program from the Indonesian Ministry of Health that has only just been implemented. Karangrejo Village is one of the villages that carries out ILP Posyandu activities. The transformation of health services at posyandu currently focuses on 5 steps, namely registration, weighing and measuring, recording and examination, health services and counseling, as well as validation and synchronization of service results data, in the form of home visits, classes for pregnant women, and classes for mothers of toddlers. Based on the identification of problems from observations of the ILP Posyandu health services in Karangrejo Village, the reality in the field is that community participation for toddlers, teenagers and the elderly is still not all targets being met, it has still been achieved at 80%. Apart from that, it is known that the information system for recording data at the ILP posyandu is still manual so that data and information processing still experiences several obstacles, especially in terms of accuracy and effectiveness. Therefore, this activity was carried out to find out an overview of the implementation of ILP Posyandu management information system data processing activities in Karangrejo Village.The aim of this research is to identify ILP Posyandu Management Information System Data Management in Karangrejo Village, specifically knowing the recording and reporting of ILP Posyandu data. The focus of the ILP Posyandu Management Information System is the governance of the recording and reporting of ILP Posyandu data. This research uses a qualitative approach and methods.  The research location is in Karangrejo Village, Ngasem District, Kediri Regency, carried out in May – July 2024. Researchers used purposive sampling. Research data collection was carried out using an interactive approach with data collection methods in the form of structured interviews, documentation and observation. The research object was posyandu cadres through direct observation and interviews with posyandu officers. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity uses source triangulation and method triangulation techniques. The results of the ILP Posyandu activities in Karangrejo Village have been running well with the support of various parties including community participation, but in data management there is a need for development in data management of the ILP Posyandu management information system. Having an information system is one of the best solutions to overcome recording problems that often occur, such as data loss, because with this system, all data is stored in a database and processing is faster. Therefore, there is an idea to design a desktop-based information system for recording ILP posyandu service data with the aim of making it easier to process service data at ILP posyandu. It is hoped that the results of this activity can optimize the data management of the ILP posyandu management information system, can help posyandu in managing data more efficiently and quickly, can make it easier to input data both from processing data which takes a long time, making reports and avoiding damaged data, loss data, as well as data accumulation. Posyandu Information System data management is very good for developing information systems to improve the quality of posyandu services in Karangrejo Village.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate how the information gap technique improved students reading comprehension on narrative text to the 8th-grade students. This research was conducted by using classroom action eesearch. The subject of this research was the 8thgrade students in class VIII C. In collecting data, the writer used an observation checklist table, field note and reading test. The result showed that the students’ abilities to comprehend narrative text improved through information gap technique. It was shown by students enthusiasm to pay attention, and followed every activity during teaching and learning process used information gap technique as teaching a technique. It can be concluded that information gap technique can be used as a technique to improve student's reading comprehension on narrative text

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of information technology in driving digital transformation in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) sector, especially in the Bulukumba area. In the midst of the development of the digital economy, technology is a strategic factor to improve operational efficiency, expand market reach, and strengthen business competitiveness. However, the implementation of technology among UMKM is not optimal because it is still faced with various obstacles such as low digital literacy, limited devices, and lack of training. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with three main indicators, namely the use of information technology, digital transformation, and the performance and competitiveness of UMKM. Information technology is considered to help accelerate transactions, improve financial records, expand promotions, and encourage product innovation. Thus, the use of digital technology has proven effective in supporting the transformation of UMKM in a sustainable and competitive manner in the digital economy era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of information quality and social networking services on the commitment loyalty of Generation Z users of e-commerce platforms in Medan. Using a quantitative approach with a sample of 100 Generation Z respondents who shop online, data was collected through a Likert scale-based questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that: (1) information quality has a positive and significant effect on commitment loyalty (t=3.969, sig=0.000); (2) social networking services have a positive and significant effect on commitment loyalty (t=3.601, sig=0.001); and (3) both variables together have a significant influence on loyalty commitment (F=49.101, sig=0.000). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.493 indicates that 49.3% of the variation in loyalty commitment can be explained by information quality and social media services. This study underscores the importance of accurate, comprehensive information and authentic social interaction in enhancing e-commerce user loyalty. The practical implication is that e-commerce platforms need to optimize information quality and leverage social media to build emotional connections with Generation Z consumers

Abstract

This research addresses the problem of insufficient information and communication systems for halal tourism in Jakarta, which affects both tourists and local stakeholders. The study aims to evaluate the Android-based SIPAHAJI application, designed to support the Smart City concept by providing tourists with efficient and effective information about halal tourism destinations in Jakarta. The app employs collaborative filtering and location-based filtering to offer personalized recommendations based on user preferences and location. The methodology includes black box testing to assess the app's functionality and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to evaluate user satisfaction. Respondents, consisting of experts and public stakeholders with professional experience or education in the tourism industry, were selected through quota sampling. Questionnaires were used for data collection. The results indicate that the application functions effectively, demonstrating excellent usability and high user acceptance. Respondents reported satisfaction with the app’s easy-to-use interface, which enhances the overall travel experience. Additionally, the app has the potential to optimize the Smart City concept, helping tourists navigate halal attractions and potentially increasing tourist visits, which could positively impact the local economy in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) plays a strategic role in coordinating academic research and community engagement activities. However, fragmented data management continues to hinder performance evaluations and strategic decision-making in many universities. This study aims to develop SIMPELMAS (Research and Community Service Management Information System), an integrated platform designed to streamline the management of human resources, research, and community service data. Using a prototype-based development methodology, SIMPELMAS was implemented and tested in Universitas Muria Kudus. The system achieved high success rates in various aspects: over 95% in functionality, 99–100% in security, and 80–85% in user satisfaction. Key features such as proposal submission, fund monitoring, and final reporting functioned optimally. Integration testing confirmed effective data synchronization, while user feedback highlighted the need for improvements in user experience, particularly for students and new users. This study contributes to the digital transformation of higher education by providing a replicable model for academic information systems that support real-time monitoring, transparency, and data-driven governance. While the system has met key eligibility standards, further enhancements in user interface and mobile responsiveness are recommended to ensure broader usability and adoption.

Abstract

This study aims to implement an Android-based elementary school student attendance information system using the AppSheet platform. This system is designed to replace the manual attendance method that is still widely used, making it easier for teachers to record student attendance and provide real-time attendance reports. AppSheet was chosen because of its ability to create Android-based applications without the need for complex programming skills. This system has key features such as attendance recording, cloud data storage, and integrated report access. The study results show that implementing this attendance information system can increase the efficiency of the attendance recording process by 89% compared to the manual method. In addition, attendance reports can be accessed by the school quickly and accurately. This system also received positive responses from teachers and administrative staff because of its ease of use. This system also improves the efficiency of attendance data management and makes the communication process between schools and parents more effective. Thus, the Android-based attendance information system using AppSheet provides a practical solution relevant to current technological developments, supporting digital transformation for managing student attendance data in elementary schools.
