Abstract

The use of information technology (IT) in managing academic services at universities is a strategic step to improve service efficiency and quality. Universitas Global Jakarta has implemented an academic information system, but still encounters obstacles in terms of information accuracy and control, indicating the need for an evaluation of the implemented IT governance. This study aims to assess the maturity level of IT governance in Universitas Global Jakarta's academic services using the COBIT 2019 framework, specifically the Delivery, Service, and Support (DSS) domain. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results show that several processes in the DSS domain have not reached an optimal level of maturity, especially in the aspects of operational supervision and control. This finding indicates the need for improvements in the implementation of IT governance to be more aligned with the university's strategic objectives and able to support academic services sustainably.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to the Al-Muttahidin Mosque construction project in Payakumbuh, which was built on the land of an existing mosque. The complexity of this project requires a planning strategy that takes into account safety, scheduling, and coordination between demolition and construction work. Modeling was carried out using Autodesk Revit 2023 to create 3D models of the old and new buildings, then analyzing the work sequence through integration with Microsoft Project and 4D simulation using Autodesk Navisworks Manage. The results show that BIM modeling facilitates the identification of design conflicts, work sequence planning, and construction activity duration estimation. The project requires 39 work items with a total duration of 201 days, of which the existing mosque cannot be used for 54 days due to safety aspects. This study confirms that BIM plays a significant role in improving scheduling efficiency, minimizing the risk of construction conflicts, and supporting the visualization of the project implementation process.

Abstract

The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) provides training as a mandatory requirement to improve the competencies of its employees. However, the training registration process has not been running optimally, as it still involves multiple impractical stages and makes it difficult to monitor compliance with training requirements based on existing policies. To address this issue, this study aims to develop an employee training information system that aligns with each employee’s competencies and supports supervision of training activities across the organization to ensure compliance with established policies, thereby preventing competency and performance gaps among employees. The system development adopts a deductive training model tailored to the characteristics and needs of employees based on their respective work units. The research applies the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, using PHP programming language with the Laravel framework and MySQL database. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and literature study to understand user requirements. The SWOT analysis was conducted to evaluate the existing system. Thereafter, the newly developed system was tested using the black box method to rigorously assess its functionality. The test results indicate that all features, including training registration, duration recording, and total training hours monitoring, function as designed without errors. Based on the development and testing results, this system can be recommended as a digital, integrated, and needs-based alternative to support the management and supervision of employee training within the organization

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of internal audit effectiveness on audit quality with the use of information technology as an intervening variable. This study is motivated by the importance of the role of internal auditors in ensuring accountable governance, as well as the increasing need for IT in the audit process in this digitalization era. The data analysis technique used is path analysis with a quantitative approach, and the mediation test using the Sobel test. The results of this study indicate that internal audit effectiveness affects audit quality with the use of information technology, this finding shows that information technology plays an important role in strengthening the impact of internal audit effectiveness on the quality of the resulting audit.

Abstract

Catastrophic emergencies, such as natural disasters, mass accidents, and pandemics, demand preparedness and resilience. Primary care plays a crucial role as the frontline in handling medical emergencies. Speed, accuracy, and strong coordination are key to saving patients' lives. However, challenges often arise, including delays in data recording, difficulty accessing medical records, and suboptimal communication between units. Health information system integration presents an innovation to address these challenges through digital, real-time, and interconnected data management across service units. This study aims to analyze the role of health information system integration in improving emergency management at Sembiring Deli Tua General Hospital in 2023. The research method used a descriptive qualitative design using interviews, observations, and document review techniques. Research informants included Emergency Unit healthcare workers, medical records officers, and hospital information system managers. The results showed that the implementation of a health information system can accelerate the triage process, improve the accuracy of patient records, and strengthen coordination between healthcare workers in critical situations. Consequently, the response to emergency patients becomes more efficient and targeted. Obstacles still encountered include limited technological infrastructure, human resource skills, and suboptimal policy support. In conclusion, health information system integration has proven to contribute significantly to improving emergency management in primary care. Going forward, strengthening digital infrastructure, improving healthcare worker competency, and managerial commitment will be key factors.

Abstract

This research aims to describe information literacy in the customs of the Lembak community. This research is a qualitative study with data described descriptively. Various events on the subject under study are described in a series of words or sentences in an in-depth, structured and logical manner based on the research topic. Researchers must be able to describe the data obtained from research subjects thoroughly so as to form an in-depth understanding of a study. This research uses the Big Six theory. The research results show that the main obstacles in literacy of Lembak traditional information among the younger generation are infrastructure, finances, the response of the government itself, community figures, and also the younger generation who are less interested in knowing about Lembak culture. Moreover, there are electronic influences such as cell phones, television and then foreign cultural influences that are not in accordance with the norm. Based on the results of in-depth interviews with researchers, the younger generation prefers to seek cultural information through social media rather than attending traditional meetings or socialization.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged business actors, including small enterprises in the food and beverage sector, to adopt Accounting Information Systems (AIS) to support financial and operational management. Selesa Coffee & Eatery, as a small enterprise, has implemented ESB POS (Esensi Solusi Buana Point of Sales) to facilitate transaction recording and financial report management. This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing an ESB POS–based AIS on individual performance, organizational performance, and net benefits using the DeLone & McLean (2003) model framework. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Data were collected through interviews with managers and accounting staff, direct observation of the café’s operational activities, and documentation of system-generated financial reports. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles & Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, along with triangulation to validate the findings. The results show that the implementation of ESB POS enhances individual performance by simplifying record-keeping, accelerating reporting, and reducing manual errors. At the organizational level, the system supports operational efficiency, transparency, and work coordination. In terms of net benefits, the system contributes to improved data accuracy, time efficiency, and provides support for evaluation and strategic decision-making. This study concludes that the implementation of an ESB POS–based AIS significantly contributes to the sustainability of small enterprises.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengumpulkan data dari Kanwil Kementerian Agama Jawa Timur tentang Monitoring dan Evaluasi Kinerja Pondok Pesantren Melalui Pemanfaatan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Pendidikan (EMIS). Pesantren ini dilaksanakan di Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi Jawa Timur. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif maka penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif. dengan menerapkan metode pengumpulan data yang meliputi dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Selanjutnya penulis mereduksi, menjelaskan, dan menarik kesimpulan dari data yang akan diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) implementasi Sistem Informasi Manajemen Pendidikan (EMIS) telah dilaksanakan. baik mulai dari pemasukan data, pengecekan kebenaran data, hingga keluaran keluaran, serta pemanfaatan data keluaran EMIS. (2) Temuan evaluasi pemanfaatan manajemen informasi di bidang pendidikan Untuk menyediakan data yang andal dan terkini yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh Kanwil Kementerian Agama Jawa Timur, pesantren, dan lainnya Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya Sistem Informasi Manajemen Pendidikan (EMIS) untuk menghasilkan laporan yang dapat digunakan untuk berbagai keperluan, antara lain merencanakan program pengembangan, mengambil keputusan strategis, dan melaporkan kepada otoritas atau pemangku kepentingan terkait bidang pesantren.

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a novel hybrid method for improving Arabic educational information retrieval (IR) in Moroccan high schools. Traditional search methods often struggle with Arabic’s rich morphology and educational terminology, hindering students’ access to accurate guidance information. The proposed method TawjihiNavigator that combines vector-based semantic search with lexical matching, enhanced by advanced Arabic natural language processing (NLP) techniques. Using a comprehensive dataset collected from official Ministry of education sources. To validate the IR-Abhato system, we integrate CAMeL Tools and Farasa stemmer for Arabic preprocessing, testing multiple embedding models including Word2Vec, FastText, and AraT5. The obtained results demonstrate that our hybrid method’s superiority over standalone vector and full-text search approaches, achieving a mean reciprocal rank (MRR) of 0.7987 and mean average precision (MAP) of 0.5628. The AraT5 model achieved the highest precision@5 score of 0.4500, specially in educational query processing. These findings indicate that our model enhances Arabic educational IR accuracy, that can be improve student decision-making processes.
