Abstract

In order to survive within the industry, small-medium scale contractors are required to be adaptive. However, many obstacles have been experienced by this group to deal with. The term of survive can be interpreted by doing continuous innovation. This research was conducted to investigate the innovation issues related which possibly could triggering or canceling the innovation within small-medium scale contractors. Literature study was conducted as a primary and followed by a field research using questioners. From the research it was found that the main motivation and orientation within innovation processes was the competitiveness among the group of contractors and followed by the attempt to respond the recently industry environment. However, they tend to avoid the change in their business concept. Finally, the availability in source of funding was highlighted as the main factor which might brough innovation initiative successful.

Abstract

Blitar City is part of Blitar Regency in East Java Province. Here, there is also the tomb of Bung Karno, the First President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Proclaimer of Indonesian Independence. The existence of Bung Karno's grave is part of the tourism program in Blitar. In addition, there are other tourist attractions such as in the Semen Village, Gandusari District, Blitar. The existence of this tour will make the community around Semen Village to improve the quality of their education. This educational process requires a good learning space so as to make the educational process more comfortable. This is often done with the learning process carried out at home or around the house due to the covid 19 pandemic era. This service is carried out to improve the educational learning process in Semen Village, Gandusari District, Blitar by providing and increasing the space with a wider capacity. The methodology used is to build a study room using technology as a result of research that has been carried out by the main author. The building is made of Precast Composite Concrete. In addition, the authors conducted a survey on the existence of the construction of learning spaces to the user community. The hope of this service is that the existence of this increased study space will further increase the enthusiasm of the younger generation to learn and be ready to increase the tourism potential in Semen Village, Gandusari District, Blitar

Abstract

This study aims to investigate green concrete as a sustainable alternative to traditional concrete by examining its properties, performance, and durability. The research will analyze data from previous qualitative studies and case studies using thematic analysis. Then a comparative analysis of green concrete and traditional concrete will be used for their properties, performance, and durability. The findings will contribute to the understanding of green concrete and its potential applications in the construction industry. Additionally, the study will evaluate the economic and environmental implications of using green concrete and provide recommendations for its adoption. The research methodology includes a comprehensive literature review, data collection, analysis, and discussion of the results. as conclusion Green concrete offers significant benefits for the construction industry. It reduces waste and carbon impact by using recycled materials, improves mechanical qualities, durability, and environmental performance, and is more cost-effective and durable. However, the use of recycled concrete aggregate has a slightly reduced impact on economic and environmental benefits in high-performance concretes

Abstract

The provision of rental flats (Rusunawa) in the city of Surabaya is still constrained by location and high prices. The Surabaya City Government plans to provide high-rise housing to meet the need for decent and cheap housing for low-income communities. Analysis is needed to determine the needs of Rusunawa in the West Surabaya area through the applicant analysis process, unit and block needs, analysis of potential asset land, analysis of Rusunawa design, and investment analysis of basic rental rates for Rusunawa. The analysis results show that 6 blocks of Rusunawa are needed with 342 units per block and 10 floors per block with potential land locations on the Persil 19 and GS 172/U/1991 asset land. Technical and non-technical recommendations for the construction of Rusunawa in the West Surabaya area can be said to be feasible and the ideal rental rate for residents of Rusunawa in the West Surabaya area is IDR 343,000.

Abstract

The growth of UMKM in various sectors has triggered intense competition between these business actors. One of them is the craft sector. The use of social media is expected to boost turnover, but the benefits are still lacking. In the craft sector, the problem that arises on the MSME side is the cessation of production. This causes turnover to decrease and has an impact on decreasing profits. This dynamic system modeling is used to see how profit-increasing strategies can be carried out. Based on the dynamic system, there are several variables, namely the causal loop diagram (CLD) and the Stock Flow Diagram (SFD) that are built, there are 3 scenarios in increasing production profits, namely: increasing production, reducing the cost of tools and materials and the third is both taken simultaneously. From the simulation carried out, it was found that within a period of 12 months it was seen that increasing production by reducing the cost of tools and materials could increase sales so that income increased and profits increased. A process of identifying production process change variables is needed as one of the production process variables that was stopped.

Abstract

Parking is an element of facilities that cannot be separated from the overall transportation system. The increase in the population of a city will cause an increase in the need to carry out various activities. Hospital is one of the public facilities with a fairly high level of activity. However, in reality, the parking lot at the dr. Soedono General Hospital in Madiun is often full and disrupts the surrounding traffic. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the performance of parking capacity and space at the dr. Soedono General Hospital. The research was done by doing a literature study on parking behavior, a preliminary survey at the study site, collecting primary and secondary data, then proceed with analyzing data in the form of capacity and parking space performance. The results of this study show that the maximum parking volume is 217 motorbikes/day and 249 cars/day, the average parking duration for motorbikes is 4.92 hours and 3.63 hours for cars, the maximum parking accumulation for motorbikes is 121 vehicles/day, and 62 cars/day, the maximum parking index for motorbikes and cars is 4.31% and 4.64%, and the parking space requirement for motorcycles (SRP) is 100 SRP and cars 80 SRP.

Abstract

The construction industry in developing countries is undergoing a pivotal transformation, driven by the integration of information and communication technology (ICT). This study investigates how ICT adoption influences the adaptability and innovation capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within this sector. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research combines quantitative data from 50 construction SMEs across chosen regions in Indonesia, with qualitative insights from 15 in-depth interviews. Findings reveal that ICT significantly enhances both adaptability and innovation performance. Notably, adaptability serves as a key mediating factor, linking ICT usage to innovative outcomes. Technologies such as mobile-based project coordination tools, cloud platforms, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) were found to improve operational responsiveness and foster novel approaches in project execution and service delivery. However, the study also identifies critical contextual challenges—including limited infrastructure, cost barriers, and cultural resistance—that hinder widespread ICT integration. The research contributes to theory by extending the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework to include adaptability as a mediating construct. Practically, it offers policy and managerial recommendations for enabling digital transformation in resource-constrained construction environments. Ultimately, the study underscores the strategic potential of ICT to enhance resilience and competitiveness among construction SMEs, provided that adoption is contextually supported and strategically implemented.

Abstract

In the implementation of construction projects, complex challenges are often faced, one of which is project delays. This research aims to analyze the application of the Fast Track Construction (FTC) method based on time variables in the delay of the SII Office Surabaya building construction project. This research uses a quantitative method by collecting secondary data from the project contractor. The analysis was conducted on the remaining structural and architectural work using the Critical Path Method (CPM) and Microsoft Project. The research results show that of the three acceleration analyses with the FTC 50% method, 4 hours/day overtime and 6 hours/day overtime, the most effective and efficient application is with 4 hours/day overtime. With the addition of overtime, it is known that the more overtime is added, the less it reduces the duration of work items but can reduce the indirect costs of the project. And based on the results of statistical analysis using the Paired T Test, it was found that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, which means that the data is significant.
