Abstract

Paper-based medical records are vulnerable to incomplete, delayed, and inconsistent information, which may hinder data use in care delivery. This study explored medical record information inaccuracies, perceived contributing factors, perceived impacts, and prevention efforts at Rumah Sakit Tk II 01.05.01 Putri Hijau Kesdam I/BB Medan, in 2018. An exploratory qualitative case study used in-depth interviews with four purposively selected informants: a specialist physician, an inpatient ward nurse, a medical records officer, and an inpatient ward general practitioner. Each informant participated in one interview session, totaling 211 minutes. Transcripts were analyzed thematically; analytical decisions were traceable through an audit trail, member checking, and comparison of cross-professional perspectives. Analysis generated 13 substantive codes grouped into four themes. Documentation supported routine care but was not consistently complete or timely. Inaccuracies were perceived to relate to documentation awareness, workflow, service workload, and record verification; they could potentially disrupt continuity of clinical information, administrative processes, data functions, and quality. Prevention requires standard operating procedures, standardized formats, checklists, evaluation, feedback, and cross-professional accountability. The findings offer lessons for improving paper-based documentation and electronic medical record governance during digital transformation, without estimating the prevalence of inaccuracies or overall hospital quality in the single institutional case examined here.

Abstract

The complexity of purchasing fashion product online encourage consumers to rely on various digital information sources before making purchase decision. This study aims to examine the effect of Virtual Try-On (VTO), Information Quality, and Online Customer Review on Purchase Decision for fashion products on the Shopee platform, wit Perceived Value serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey of 200 Shopee user who match the research criteria. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The result indicate that Virtual Try-On, Information Quality, and Perceived Value have a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decision, whereas Online Customer Review has no significant direct effect on Purchase Decision. Furthermore, Virtual Try-On, Information Quality, and Online Customer Review significantly influence Perceived Value. Perceived Value partially mediates the effect of Virtual Try-On and Information Quality on Purchase Decision, while fully mediating the relationship between Online Customer Review and Purchase Decision. These finding highlight the important role of Perceived Value in explaining how digital information sources shape customers’ purchase decision in the context of fashion e-commerce

Abstract

This study aims to explore the factors influencing the information security of the DWDM transmission system at PT. XYZ using a qualitative approach. The research was conducted through semi-structured interviews with experts directly involved in the operation of the DWDM network and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques with the assistance of ATLAS.ti. Technical parameters of optical networks such as OSNR, BER, and optical power were used to understand network conditions; ITU-T standards were used to map the architecture and assets of the DWDM transmission system; and the NIST SP 800-30 methodology was used to interpret the findings in the context of threats, vulnerabilities, and their impact on Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA). The research results identified seven main groups of factors affecting the information security of DWDM transmission systems, namely Outside Plant (OSP) Security Issues, Inside Plant (ISP) Security Issues, Monitoring & Detection Limitations, Access Control & Configuration Weaknesses, Documentation, Policy & Governance Gaps, Environmental & Power Risks, and Incident & Preventive Weaknesses. These findings indicate that the information security of DWDM transmission systems is influenced by the interaction between technical and non-technical aspects; thus, this research is expected to provide an academic contribution and serve as a practical reference for PT. XYZ in enhancing the security resilience of its DWDM network.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze market reactions to earnings announcements by examining the role of non-financial information disclosure, namely Carbon Emission Disclosure (CED) and Good Corporate Governance (GCG), in oil, gas, and coal subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2021–2024 period. Market reaction is proxied by abnormal return as a response to information published during earnings announcements. This study employs signalling theory and the efficient market hypothesis, which suggest that the market reacts to information considered relevant, whether financial or non-financial. Carbon emission disclosure reflects a company’s transparency regarding environmental issues, while GCG represents the quality of corporate governance. The research method used is an event study with a quantitative approach. Data were obtained from the annual reports and sustainability reports of oil, gas, and coal subsector companies listed on the IDX. The results are expected to demonstrate the influence of carbon emission disclosure and GCG in strengthening or weakening market reactions to earnings announcements. This study is expected to contribute to the capital market accounting literature regarding the role of non-financial information in investor decision-making.

Abstract

The utilization of digital technology in health services, including posyandu activities, continues to increase; however, the participation of mothers of toddlers remains suboptimal. This study aimed to analyze the association between the utilization of information systems and digital communication media and the participation of mothers of toddlers in posyandu activities. A cross-sectional study was conducted in the working area of Sentolo I Primary Health Center, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, involving 60 respondents selected using total sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression. The results showed that both information systems and digital communication media were significantly associated with participation (r = 0.41; p = 0.002 and r = 0.56; p < 0.001, respectively). Simultaneously, these variables contributed to participation (R² = 0.38), with digital communication media as the dominant factor (β = 0.47; p < 0.001). In conclusion, the integration of information systems and digital communication media is associated with increased participation of mothers of toddlers in posyandu activities. Strengthening digital literacy and optimizing communication strategies are recommended to improve participation in community-based health services

Abstract

Political buzzers become a matter of criminal law when the amplification of political messages shifts into the dissemination of false news or notices through social media. This article examines the structure of the relevant offenses and the criminal liability of political buzzers after Indonesia's Criminal Code entered into force and was simultaneously adjusted by Law No. 1 of 2026 on Criminal Law Adjustments. Using prescriptive normative legal research, the study applies statutory, conceptual, and case approaches together with grammatical, systematic, teleological, and temporal interpretation. It finds that political buzzers do not constitute a special category of offender; liability turns on each person's conduct and culpability. For conduct committed before January 2, 2026, Article 28(3) in conjunction with Article 45A(3) of the EIT Law required intent, knowledge of falsity, electronic dissemination, and actual public unrest in physical space. Since January 2, 2026, Articles 263 and 264 of the Criminal Code, as adjusted by Law No. 1 of 2026, both require knowledge and actual public unrest, while differing in the type of prohibited content. Constitutional Court Decision No. 170/PUU-XXIV/2026 confirms their result-based character. The article proposes a six-layer test covering tempus delicti and lex mitior, attribution, content classification, mens rea, public unrest and causation, and modes of participation.

Abstract

Pengelolaan pemeliharaan jalan desa memerlukan sistem pendukung keputusan yang mampu mengintegrasikan kondisi fisik jalan, aspek pelayanan, dan informasi spasial secara objektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model prioritas pemeliharaan jalan desa dengan mengintegrasikan Surface Distress Index (SDI), Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) melalui Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), dan Geographic Information System (GIS) dalam suatu Spatial Decision Support System (SDSS). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan studi kasus pada sepuluh ruas jalan di Desa Mertapadawetan, Kabupaten Cirebon. Framework penelitian terdiri atas empat tahapan, yaitu akuisisi data, evaluasi kondisi jalan menggunakan SDI, penentuan bobot dan prioritas menggunakan AHP, serta integrasi hasil analisis ke dalam GIS. Hasil evaluasi SDI menunjukkan nilai indeks berkisar antara 40,00 hingga 187,30 yang mengklasifikasikan kondisi jalan ke dalam kategori baik, rusak ringan, rusak sedang, dan rusak berat. Pada tahap MCDM, kriteria kondisi jalan menjadi faktor paling dominan dengan bobot 0,5587, diikuti fungsi jalan (0,2562), volume lalu lintas (0,1272), dan dampak sosial (0,0579), sehingga menghasilkan Priority Index yang mampu merepresentasikan tingkat urgensi pemeliharaan secara lebih komprehensif dibandingkan pendekatan berbasis kondisi jalan saja. Integrasi hasil SDI dan AHP ke dalam GIS menghasilkan Priority Index Layer yang memvisualisasikan distribusi spasial prioritas pemeliharaan dalam bentuk peta tematik. Model yang dikembangkan tidak hanya meningkatkan objektivitas dan konsistensi dalam penentuan prioritas, tetapi juga membentuk kerangka GIS-based Spatial Multi-Criteria Decision Support System yang dapat mendukung perencanaan pemeliharaan jalan secara efektif dan direplikasi pada wilayah lain dengan karakteristik jaringan jalan yang berbeda.

Abstract

Before this study, Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Salafiyah Syafi’iyah (MISS) Putra managed student assessment data in Microsoft Excel and prepared report cards using the mail merge feature in Microsoft Word. This workflow distributed academic records across multiple files, increasing the risk of data inconsistencies, data-entry errors, duplication, and delays in report card preparation. This study aimed to design and implement a web-based e-report information system that centralizes academic data management and supports grade processing, report card generation, and access to academic information at MISS Putra. The system was developed using the Waterfall model, comprising requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The application was built with the Laravel framework, PHP, and MySQL. Functional testing was conducted using the black-box method on five core functions: user login, student data management, grade entry, report card generation, and report card printing. The test results showed that all five functions produced the expected outputs. The implemented system centralizes academic records, reduces repeated data entry, and supports more practical access to academic information for administrators, teachers, homeroom teachers, madrasah leaders, and student guardians.

Abstract

Web-based information systems can support the management of public services by providing more structured access to information and reports. This study aims to design and implement a web-based Community Aspiration and Complaint Information System in Bungatan Village, Bungatan District, Situbondo Regency. The existing process for submitting aspirations and complaints was still conducted manually through face-to-face communication or messaging applications, resulting in less structured data management and limited transparency in report monitoring. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. System development followed the Waterfall method, consisting of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The system was developed using the CodeIgniter 4 framework with PHP and MySQL. The results show that the system enables the community to submit aspirations and complaints online and monitor report statuses through the website. Black-box testing was conducted on six main features: registration, login, complaint submission, aspiration submission, complaint management, and report status monitoring. All tested features functioned as expected based on the defined test scenarios. The system also provides centralized data storage and structured report management, supporting the administration of community aspirations and complaints in Bungatan Village.

Abstract

Advances in information technology have encouraged businesses to adopt more effective inventory management systems. Geleng Classic Store still managed motorcycle spare part inventory manually using record books, resulting in recording errors, delays in updating information, inconsistencies between physical and recorded stock, and difficulties in monitoring inventory. These problems affected the efficiency of stock management and the availability of spare parts. This research aimed to design and develop a web-based inventory information system to support spare part stock management at a small and medium-sized enterprise. The system was developed using the waterfall model within the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), consisting of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system was developed using the Laravel framework, PHP programming language, and MySQL database, with the First In, First Out (FIFO) method applied to inventory management. The developed system provides computerized recording of incoming and outgoing goods, real-time stock monitoring, minimum stock notifications, and role-based access according to user requirements. PIECES analysis indicated improvements in the management of performance, information, economics, control, efficiency, and service compared with the previous manual system. Black-box testing of ten main system features showed that all tested functions produced the expected results. The implementation of FIFO prioritizes older stock for release, supporting more orderly stock rotation and reducing the possibility of older items remaining in storage for extended periods. The developed system therefore provides a practical tool for supporting motorcycle spare part inventory management at Geleng Classic Store.
