Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of the quality of learning in madrasah (Islamic schools) being significantly influenced by the management of available facilities and infrastructure. However, at MTS Matlaul Anwar Pamulang, there is a gap between the ideal and the real condition of educational facilities, such as the limited availability of technology-based learning media, extracurricular facilities, and library collections. This study aims to analyze the implementation of facilities and infrastructure management, identify the constraints encountered, and evaluate its impact on student quality. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the management of facilities and infrastructure has been carried out through planning, procurement, utilization, maintenance, and supervision, although there are still budgetary constraints and facility limitations that affect the effectiveness of their utilization. The gap between the ideal and the real condition can be reduced through needs-based planning, optimal maintenance, and cooperation with the madrasah committee. The impact of this research indicates that effective facilities and infrastructure management contributes to improving the quality of learning and developing students' potential. The findings of this study can serve as a reference for other madrasah in enhancing educational quality through more optimal facilities and infrastructure management

Abstract

The background of the study is based on the high intensity of technology and digital media use among adolescents, which has implications for the formation of their religious, moral, and social identities. In this context, PAI has a strategic role in guiding students to be able to use technology responsibly and in harmony with Islamic values. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the main subjects being PAI teachers, students, and school management. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of the planning, implementation, and evaluation of PAI learning integrated with the use of digital media. The results of the study indicate that PAI reconstruction was carried out through curriculum adjustments and learning plans that integrate classical Islamic themes with contemporary issues in the digital space, innovations in problem-based and project-based learning methods, and the utilization of various digital media and online platforms. The strategy for strengthening student identity is implemented through digital reflection and self-reflection, religious habituation, and empowering students to actively participate in producing Islamic religious content and positive activities in digital media. These efforts contribute to increasing students' awareness, selective attitudes, and moral responsibility in using technology, despite still facing challenges such as teachers' digital competence, limited resources, and the influence of the external environment.

Abstract

A learner's success is determined less by the amount of information received than by how that information is processed, stored, and retrieved when needed. This article examines information processing theory as a framework for understanding the cognitive processes of learning and for explaining why students forget. Using a library research method, it reviews verified books and scholarly journal articles published within the last ten years. The findings show that learning unfolds through a sequence of cognitive stages sensation, attention, encoding, storage, and retrieval strongly shaped by the limited capacity of working memory. Forgetting is understood not merely as failure but as an active process driven by encoding failure, trace decay, interference, and weak retrieval cues. Strategies such as chunking, multimodal instruction, elaborative rehearsal, and constructive feedback effectively manage cognitive load and strengthen retention. The article concludes that teachers' understanding of human cognitive architecture is foundational for designing effective, meaningful, and learner-centered instruction.
