Abstract

Curriculum management plays a crucial role in supporting the success of the tahfidz program in Islamic educational institutions. This article aims to describe the curriculum management of the tahfidz program at the Al Wafa Putri Islamic Boarding School in Palangka Raya, focusing on three main aspects: planning, organization, and implementation. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study, while data collection was conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data validation was ensured by source and technique triangulation. The research results show that curriculum planning is carried out through deliberation between the Islamic boarding school leadership and the tahfidz teachers, encompassing goal setting, content determination, learning methods, learning resources, and evaluation. Organization begins with a Qur'an reading ability test, followed by the formation of halaqah (teaching circles) and the placement of teachers according to their expertise. Program implementation is carried out in a scheduled and intensive manner using the sabaq, talaqqi, sabqi, and muraja'ah methods. These findings indicate that the success of the Al Wafa Putri tahfidz program is largely determined by the accuracy of curriculum management, from adaptive planning and effective organization to consistent implementation. The success of the tahfidz program is measured not only by the quantity of memorization, but also by the accuracy of recitation, mastery of tajwid, and the strength of memorization (mutqin).

Abstract

Objective: The sesan tradition is part of Lampung's traditional wedding ceremonies and is still preserved today, particularly in Negeri Ulangan Jaya Village, Negeri Katon District. This tradition is considered a form of respect for the principle of kinship in Lampung's traditional society. Sesan refers to the practice of the bride's family bringing various household items and furnishings to the groom's home prior to the wedding ceremony. These items are generally purchased using honest money previously given by the groom's family during the proposal, but they are also often obtained from contributions from the bride's relatives, so the total value of the sesan often exceeds the honest money itself. This study aims to examine in depth the meaning, concept, and purpose of the sesan tradition in Lampung's Pepadun traditional weddings, while also analyzing the factors influencing its size. With this approach, it is hoped that the philosophical and cultural values embedded in this tradition can be understood and preserved. Specifically, this study aims to reveal the meaning of sesan, describe its implementation, explain its objectives, and identify various aspects that influence the determination of sesan values in the context of Lampung Pepadun customs.

Abstract

Effective communication is an important foundation in the teaching and learning process in elementary schools. However, elementary school children often lack the ability to manage their utterances appropriately according to Grice's cooperative principle, particularly the maxim of quantity. This study aims to describe the forms of violations of the maxim of quantity made by elementary school students in everyday conversations, as well as to analyze the underlying causes. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with an intrinsic case study design. The results show that violations of the maxim of quantity occur in three main forms: providing too little information, providing excessive information, and irrelevant repetition. The factors causing this violation include children's cognitive development, the communication style shaped by the social environment, and the context of interaction. These findings emphasize the need for integrating pragmatic learning into the elementary school curriculum to enhance children's communication skills from an early age. Additionally, the results of this research contribute theoretically to the study of child pragmatics, particularly in the context of the Indonesian language, and serve as a basis for developing more contextual speaking learning materials.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the curriculum management of Kulliyatu-l-Mu'allimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI) at Pondok Modern Al Mujahidul Amin Palangka Raya, focusing on three main aspects, namely planning, organizing, and implementing the curriculum. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type conducted from March to November 2025. Data were obtained through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with boarding school leaders, and documentation studies of official curriculum documents. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, which includes the processes of condensation, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that curriculum planning is carried out by adopting the KMI Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor system, which is based on spiritual legitimacy and the basic values of Islam, Indonesianness, and pesantren (Islamic boarding school). In the early stages, the boarding school did not conduct its own needs analysis because it focused on preserving the values and traditions of Gontor education, but it remained open to adjustments in line with local developments and needs. The curriculum is organized into three main subject groups, namely Dirāsah Islāmiyyah, Dirāsah Lughawiyyah, and Dirāsah Kauniyyah, with an integrated 24-hour learning system.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of declining interest in using the Lampung language among the younger generation in the modern era. The aim of this study is to uncover the reasons why young people rarely use Lampung in their daily lives, identify the contributing factors, and understand the long-term impact if this regional language is no longer used by the next generation. The research method used is qualitative descriptive and observation of the language behavior of the Lampung community. The results indicate that the dominance of Indonesian and foreign languages in education, media, and social environments, along with the minimal use of Lampung in families and schools, are the main causes of this decline. This condition has the potential to lead to the extinction of the Lampung language, which will impact the loss of cultural heritage and ethnic identity of the Lampung people. Therefore, concrete steps are needed from various parties, such as language revitalization in education, the use of digital media, and increasing awareness of regional language preservation, so that Lampung can continue to be preserved and used by the younger generation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the extent to which student learning outcomes improved after the implementation of the Basic Electrical Engineering e-module in vocational learning. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest model, involving 32 tenth-grade students of the Electrical Power Installation Engineering expertise program at SMKN 4 Palembang. Data were collected using multiple-choice pretests and posttests that assessed students' conceptual understanding of Basic Electrical Engineering. The e-module was designed with multimedia elements like text, audio, and worksheets to support flexible, independent learning. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning performance, with the average pretest score increasing from 68.9 to 81.1 and an N-Gain value of 0.392, which is included in the moderate category. These findings indicate that the e-module effectively improves student understanding and engagement, while confirming its pedagogical potential in vocational education. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on e-modules for technical-vocational subjects, which can foster conceptual mastery in specific technical materials. This research contributes to the development of literature on technology-based learning and confirms the potential of e-modules as a vocational education innovation.

Abstract

Transformational Leadership is a person's skill in influencing others so that they are willing to follow what their leader wants. In the educational context, an educator, known as a teacher, is a profession crucial for implementing the best education. This study aims to understand how teachers interpret and give meaning to transformational leadership styles within the context of a phenomenological study. Data were collected through in-depth interviews using a qualitative Max Van Manen hermeneutics approach with three themes and subthemes: motivation, inspiration, and intellectual stimulation. Teachers were selected and described in a measurable manner to explore their experiences and emerging meanings. The results indicate that transformational leadership provides motivation, inspiration, and intellectual stimulation that encourage teacher performance in achieving achievement, while strengthening interpersonal relationships and professionalism. This study emphasizes the importance of implementing transformational policies in improving the performance and quality of education in schools. These findings empower the development of principals' leadership competencies to create a more productive learning environment and support teacher development.
