Abstract

One of the subjects that has an important role in character building is Pancasila Education. This subject aims to instill the nation's noble values ​​​​such as social justice, mutual cooperation, tolerance, and love of the homeland which are expected to be internalized in students' attitudes and behavior. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education in fifth grade students of Tounwawan Christian Elementary School through the application of the inquiry learning model. The background of the study is the low understanding of students regarding rights and obligations, as seen from the results of the initial test which showed that only 30% of students achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) with an average of 55.5. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method of the Kemmis & McTaggart model in two cycles with 10 students as subjects. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations, and reflections, then analyzed descriptively. The results showed an increase in the average student score from 55.5 (30% completion) in the initial condition, to 68.5 (50%) in cycle I, to 82.8 (100%) in cycle II. In addition to quantitative improvements, students become more active in asking questions, discussing, and presenting learning outcomes. Thus, inquiry learning has been proven effective in improving learning outcomes while fostering critical thinking skills, self-confidence, and collaboration.

Abstract

The focus of the research is directed at three main aspects: the implementation of preliminary activities, core activities, and closing activities in accordance with the process standards of the Merdeka Curriculum integrated with the school’s curriculum. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with the subject being a Grade IV-B teacher. Data were collected through observation, structured interviews, and document analysis, and were analyzed using Miles & Huberman’s model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing with verification. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that in the preliminary stage, the teacher was able to start the lesson effectively using stimulating questions and initial assessment, although improvement is needed in connecting the material to students’ daily life experiences. In the core stage, the teacher applied active, integrative, and interactive learning steps using student-centered models, yet adaptation to individual differences among students was still limited. In the closing stage, the teacher conducted reflection and collaboratively drew conclusions with students. This study provides empirical insights into the application of new peer teaching integrated with the Merdeka Curriculum in an Islamic-based school context.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of poor peer social interaction in schools, which can have a negative impact on the formation of students' self-concept. Peer social interaction plays an important role in forming confidence, self-acceptance, and healthy social relationships. This study aims to describe: (1) the social interaction profile of peers, (2) the profile of self-concept, and (3) the influence of social interaction of peers on the self-concept of students. The type of research is quantitative with a correlational method. The research population was 70 people, with a simple random sampling technique so that 41 samples were obtained. The research instrument is in the form of a questionnaire, while the data analysis uses simple linear regression. The results showed that: (1) the social interaction of students' peers was in the poor category, (2) students' self-concept was in the poor category, and (3) there was a significant influence of social interaction of peers on self-concept by 94.7% with a very strong category. Based on these findings, BK teachers are advised to facilitate activities that increase students' social interaction, students are expected to build healthy relationships with peers, and schools need to create an environment conducive to students' social and personal development.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the emotional problems experienced by students with academic achievements in interacting with peers at SMAN 2 Pasaman. This problem is important to examine because difficulties in understanding oneself can affect the quality of social relationships and communication between students. This study aims to uncover the profile of emotional problems of academically outstanding students in the context of social interaction. The method used was qualitative descriptive by involving two key informants and four additional informants, namely a homeroom teacher, a counseling guidance teacher, and two peers (male and female). Data was collected through interviews, then analyzed by data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that some students have difficulty understanding themselves, especially in managing emotions and openness to sharing feelings. Negative emotions tend to be suppressed because of the difference between the feelings felt and the attitudes displayed. This condition creates communication barriers and potential conflicts with peers. Although academic achievement can increase confidence and courage to interact, emotional control is still an aspect that needs to be strengthened. Therefore, it is recommended that schools provide emotional skills development programs through training, group counseling, and activities that encourage openness, so that students' social interaction and self-understanding can be more optimal.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the marketing strategies of educational services in increasing community interest at MTs Swasta Mamba’ul Ulum Kota Jambi. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the marketing strategy of educational services at MTs Swasta Mamba’ul Ulum is implemented based on Kotler’s 7P service marketing mix. Product is reflected in the quality of graduates who possess noble character, memorize the Qur’an, and actively participate in religious activities. Price is set at an affordable level, adjusted to the economic capacity of parents. Place highlights the school’s location within the Islamic boarding school environment, which fosters a religious atmosphere. Promotion is carried out through direct approaches to the community, alumni networks, and religious activities. People involve professional and dedicated teachers, staff, and pesantren administrators. Process includes integrated intramural learning, extracurricular programs, and Islamic boarding school activities. Physical Evidence is demonstrated through the availability of adequate facilities such as classrooms, mosque, library, dormitory, and extracurricular amenities. Overall, the application of the 7P marketing mix has succeeded in strengthening public trust in the madrasah, even though the facilities are not yet fully modernized.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of spiritual leadership on employee performance through employee well-being among employees of the Semarang City Education Office. Spiritual leadership, which emphasizes vision, altruistic love, and hope/faith, is considered an important factor in enhancing employees’ psychological well-being and organizational outcomes. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. A Likert scale questionnaire (1–5) was distributed to the entire population of 110 employees. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) with SmartPLS 3.0, including validity and reliability testing, as well as outer model, inner model, and hypothesis testing. The findings reveal that spiritual leadership has a significant positive effect on employee well-being, employee well-being significantly improves employee performance, and spiritual leadership also directly affects employee performance. Furthermore, employee well-being mediates the relationship between spiritual leadership and employee performance. The results confirm the essential role of spiritual leadership in fostering employee well-being, which subsequently enhances employee performance. The practical implication highlights the importance of strengthening spiritual leadership practices and improving employee well-being programs within government institutions.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Hajarun Najah Foundation's policies in improving the quality of education at An Najah Islamic Junior High School. The purpose of this study is to describe how the foundation's policies are implemented, including improving teacher competency, integrated educational planning, designing a curriculum that integrates general and religious subjects, planning flagship programs, monitoring, supervision, and periodic evaluation, providing educational facilities/infrastructure, social/financial support for students, and involving parents and the madrasah committee. A qualitative descriptive research method was used to describe the policy implementation process in depth. The results show that the implementation of the foundation's policies is systematic and planned, focusing on the holistic development of students. The key to success lies not only in improving teacher competency through training and supervision, integrating general and religious curricula, and providing facilities and scholarships. The active involvement of parents and the madrasah committee also significantly strengthens the educational ecosystem. This study concludes that the synergy between the foundation, the madrasah, and the community is an important foundation for improving the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic role of the Foundation Chairman in developing business units at the Islamic Boarding School of Perguruan Islam Ganra. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the Foundation Chairman and business unit managers, direct observations of entrepreneurial activities, and document analysis of business reports and institutional archives. Data analysis consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation, as well as peer debriefing. The findings reveal that the Foundation Chairman plays a central role in developing pesantren business units through three dimensions. First, as a policymaker, the chairman issues decrees that regulate organizational structure and unit responsibilities. Second, as a coordinator, the chairman provides guidance and delegates authority, thereby increasing managerial effectiveness and accountability. Third, as an external liaison, the chairman establishes strategic partnerships with government and stakeholders to secure funding, facilities, and entrepreneurial training. This study demonstrates that a participative-strategic leadership style of the foundation chairman is a critical factor in achieving pesantren’s economic independence.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the parenting style applied by parents and its influence on the social- emotional development of children aged 4–5 years at PPT Mutiara Bunda, Wonokusumo Village, Semampir District, Surabaya City, in the 2024–2025 academic year. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subjects of this study consisted of three students along with their parents who applied an authoritarian parenting style. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, using a triangulation approach to validate the data from various sources. The data analysis technique refers to the Miles and Huberman model, which includes three main stages: (1) data reduction, which involves sorting, summarizing, and focusing raw data into relevant categories such as social- emotional indicators; (2) data display in the form of observation tables and field notes to illustrate children's behavior in aspects such as empathy, cooperation, and emotional control; and (3) conclusion drawing/verification based on consistent patterns found in the field. The results of the study show that the parenting style applied at PPT Mutiara Bunda is authoritarian, characterized by strict rules and control without allowing children to express their opinions. Children raised in an authoritarian environment tend to exhibit hindered social- emotional development, such as fearfulness, low self-confidence, lack of initiative, poor decision-making skills, and social withdrawal.

Abstract

This study examined whether e‑module use predicts Islamic Faith Education (IFE) achievement among Grade‑VII students at Al‑Abidin Bilingual Boarding School, Surakarta. A quantitative design with census sampling was applied; the population and sample comprised 58 students. The predictor (X) was measured with a 1–5 Likert questionnaire; twenty items were trialed, nineteen retained as valid, and internal consistency reached Cronbach’s alpha = 0.883. The outcome (Y) used official IFE report‑card scores. Analyses covered descriptive statistics, Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality, linearity, Pearson correlation, and coefficient of determination (SPSS 24). A 30‑student pilot supported item validity; analyses used individual‑level pairing. E‑module use was moderately high (M = 70.97; SD = 11.48; range 45–93). IFE achievement was high (M = 87.78; SD = 9.39; range 20–94). Assumptions were met: residuals were normally distributed (p = 0.200) and the X–Y relation was linear (p = 0.268). The Pearson correlation was positive yet weak and non‑significant (r = 0.215; p = 0.104); the explanatory power was small (R² = 0.046; Adjusted R² = 0.029). About 4.6% of score variance was accounted for by e‑module use.
