Abstract

This study examines the transformation of religious education in the digital space, focusing on changes in educator authority, emotional approaches in interactions, and psychosocial impacts on learners. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method on various relevant academic literatures. The results show three main findings. First, religious educational authority has shifted from formal institutions to individuals active on social media, where recognition is based on communication skills and online visibility. Second, the learning process heavily prioritizes emotional approaches through storytelling techniques and expressions of empathy to build closeness. However, this approach carries the risk of performativity that can obscure the depth of religious teachings for the sake of content popularity. Third, digital interactions have a real psychosocial impact on learners' daily behaviors, but risk triggering confirmation bias, rigid religious attitudes, and psychological pressure. This study concludes that digital religious education requires ethical responsibility from educators and a reflective critical attitude from learners so that the understanding of religious values remains deep and healthy.

Abstract

Objective: The study aims to uncover the public relations strategy of school public relations in improving the quality of education at SMA Negeri 1 Kota Jayapura. This study uses a case study approach to explore more deeply the role and strategy of school public relations management in improving the quality of education. Research data were collected through observation, in-depth structured interviews and documentation then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this study indicate that the public relations management strategy of school public relations at SMA Negeri 1 Kota Jayapura has a significant contribution in improving the quality of education through a holistic and integrated approach. The strategy for improving the quality of education is implemented through the role of public relations as a facilitator for other areas of school management, an initiator of collaboration, and a forum for aspirations of various internal and external parties. Public relations at SMA Negeri 1 Kota Jayapura manages information effectively, builds good relationships with various parties, and creates a strong partnership network to support quality education. This school public relations practice can be a model of good practice in school public relations management governance in improving the quality of education. This study provides an empirical contribution regarding good practices in school public relations management based on local Papuan cultural wisdom that can be applied in other schools.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the importance of using innovative learning media to improve students’ learning motivation in the Akidah Akhlak subject. The low level of students’ interest and participation in the learning process became one of the challenges that needed to be addressed through the use of audio-visual media. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of audio-visual media in Akidah Akhlak learning, measure the level of learning motivation among seventh-grade students, and determine the effect of audio-visual media on students’ learning motivation at MTsS Al-Istiqomah Caringin Bogor. The research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research method. The population consisted of all seventh-grade students of MTsS Al-Istiqomah Caringin Bogor, while the sample was selected using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The results showed that the implementation of audio-visual media in Akidah Akhlak learning was categorized as good, while students’ learning motivation was categorized as high. Furthermore, the hypothesis testing indicated that there was a significant effect of audio-visual media on students’ learning motivation, as evidenced by a significance value of less than 0.05 and the coefficient of determination value, which demonstrated that audio-visual media contributed positively to improving students’ learning motivation.
