Abstract

The non-primary workload of public primary school (SDN) teachers in Sragen district, including duties as Dapodik operators, BOS/BOSDA treasurers and asset administration officers, often disrupts teachers' focus on the learning process. This study aims to analyze the inequality in the distribution of non-primary workload of public primary school teachers and its impact on learning effectiveness and teacher welfare, from the perspective of Islamic Education Management. The research used a qualitative approach with a document study of regulations (Permendiknas 24/2008, Permendikbud 6/2021, PP 19/2017), secondary data analysis of the Education Office, and limited interviews with public primary school teachers in Sragen District. The results show that there are inequalities in the distribution of additional tasks (such as Dapodik operators and BOS treasurers). This inequality has a double negative impact: reducing teachers' focus on core learning performance and disrupting their psychological well-being. This study offers a value-based solution perspective by integrating the principles of justice (al-'adl) and responsibility (Amanah) from Islamic Education Management as the normative foundation.

Abstract

The Village-Level Equivalency Education Program (PAKADES) is an educational management innovation developed by the Tangerang Regency Government to address the challenges of equity and quality improvement in rural education. The program serves as a solution to limited access to formal education by providing non-formal education services that are equivalent in terms of curriculum, learning processes, and recognition of learning outcomes through a community-based approach. This study aims to analyze the forms of educational management innovation within PAKADES and to evaluate its effectiveness as a model of community empowerment. The research employs a qualitative approach through literature review, analysis of regional education policies, and examination of program documents. The findings indicate that PAKADES has a significant positive impact, particularly in increasing educational participation among productive-age communities previously constrained by economic, geographic, and social factors. The program also expands access to education while fostering awareness of the importance of education for improving quality of life. Through the synergy of local government, non-formal education institutions, and village authorities, PAKADES has created an adaptive learning model based on local potential. The program strengthens the role of villages as centers of educational innovation and reflects the government’s commitment to achieving equitable, inclusive, and sustainable education.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze how enrolment and tuition fee policies are implemented at the Australian Islamic Centre College (AICC) in Victoria. The research uses a qualitative method with a library-based approach by examining various official documents, institutional policies, and academic sources related to enrolment agreements, admission policies, and enrolment regulations. The findings show that AICC upholds the principles of transparency and accountability by providing clear information, open enrolment agreements, and a structured monitoring system to protect students’ rights. However, the institution’s financial system still faces challenges, particularly for students from low-income families. Therefore, a more equitable funding model is needed, such as scholarship programs and community support. Overall, AICC’s policy reflects a professional and transparent model of Islamic educational management that seeks to maintain a balance between institutional growth and social justice.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth how the relationship between organizational structure, Islamic values, and leadership can shape organizational behavior in Islamic educational institutions. This study is motivated by the fact that many Islamic educational institutions are still struggling to balance professionalism in institutional management with the application of spiritual values. The research was conducted through a literature study method by examining various scientific sources such as books, journals, and previous research results. All data were then analyzed descriptively to find patterns of correlation and influence between the three elements in the context of Islamic education management. The results of the study show that organizational structure acts as a system that regulates the division of tasks and responsibilities, Islamic values become the moral foundation that guides behavior, while leadership acts as a driving force that unites the two so that they run in harmony. When these three elements are harmoniously intertwined, the organizational behavior that emerges is not only efficient but also reflects Islam through attitudes of trustworthiness, fairness, and responsibility. Thus, the balance between structure, values, and leadership becomes the main foundation in building an ethical, productive organizational culture that has spiritual strength in the Islamic education environment.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the implementation of financial management in higher education institutions, focusing on the revenue management system at the University of Indonesia (UI). Referring to the Consolidated Financial Statements for 2021–2024, UI’s total revenue in 2024 amounted to IDR 3.66 trillion, increasing from IDR 3.40 trillion in 2023, representing a growth of IDR 260 billion or 7.65%. Operational revenue also rose from IDR 2.64 trillion to IDR 2.81 trillion, reflecting an increase of 6.44%. Meanwhile, UI’s endowment fund demonstrated consistent growth, rising from IDR 114.8 billion in 2021 to IDR 136.8 billion in 2024, equivalent to a total increase of 19.16% (an average of 6.4% annually). The endowment’s investment performance achieved an average annual return of 9.8%, exceeding the national inflation rate. These findings indicate that UI’s financial management has been carried out effectively through the application of accountability principles, revenue diversification, and transparent reporting. However, the contribution of non-academic revenue streams still requires enhancement to strengthen long-term financial independence. This study recommends fostering innovation in financial strategies, optimizing productive assets, and strengthening managerial capacity to support the institution’s financial sustainability.

Abstract

This research aimed to explore the stories of students participating in the MBG program at SMPN 19 Surabaya. The MBG program, launched and implemented, focused on increasing nutrient-rich intake for the target students, as well as maintaining healthy bodies so that students' minds remained focused on learning, resulting in strong academic achievement. This research employed a phenomenological approach, drawing on direct accounts from students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and supporting documents. Informants were selected purposively, and the data was processed using the Miles and Huberman approach. The research found a shift toward positive outcomes, improving the students' well-being. They were encouraged to study harder, and healthy eating habits began to form. However, problems persisted, such as the menu not changing regularly and problems distributing food to students. The students consider the MBG program to be very meaningful and useful, so they see it not only as a matter of food intake but also as a way of creating a more positive atmosphere around them.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the revitalization of human resource management (HRM) in Islamic educational institutions by focusing on strategies that strengthen work motivation and job satisfaction among educators. This research employed the library research method by reviewing reputable and up-to-date literature from 2019–2024, including national and international journal articles, books, and relevant research reports. The analysis process involved content analysis, identification of emerging themes, and synthesis of literature related to HRM strategies, motivation, and job satisfaction in the context of Islamic education. The study found that effective HRM in Islamic educational institutions is characterized by continuous professional development, Islamic-based organizational culture, academic supervision, and equitable compensation systems. Motivation is influenced by intrinsic factors such as spirituality, sincerity, leadership style, and communication, while extrinsic factors include rewards, career development, and workplace environment. Job satisfaction is shaped by emotional responses to work, fairness perception, organizational support, and career advancement opportunities. This research offers an integrative model linking Islamic values with HRM strategies to enhance educator motivation and satisfaction—an aspect that has been underexplored in recent five-year studies. The findings highlight the importance of combining professionalism with Islamic spirituality to build competitive and sustainable Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve students’ critical thinking skills through the implementation of the STEAM-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model at SMA Negeri 15 Medan. The research subjects were 32 eleventh-grade students. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research instruments included observation sheets, critical thinking skill tests, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of STEAM-based PBL significantly improved students’ critical thinking skills. In the pre-action stage, the percentage of students achieving mastery in critical thinking was only 37.5%. After the first cycle, it increased to 65.6%, and by the second cycle, it further increased to 87.5%. This improvement was supported by more active and collaborative learning activities, as well as students’ better ability to analyze problems systematically through the STEAM approach. Therefore, the STEAM-based PBL model is effective in enhancing students' critical thinking skills in the learning process at SMA Negeri 15 Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of differentiated clinical supervision in improving the pedagogical quality of early childhood education teachers at TK Mubarok Salatiga. The research is grounded in the existing gap in the quality of early childhood educators in Indonesia, where many teachers have not met the minimum academic qualification requirements, as well as the limited number of studies that specifically examine clinical supervision using a differentiated approach. Employing a qualitative case study design, the research involved the principal, six teachers, foundation representatives, and parents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that differentiated clinical supervision is implemented through systematic planning, execution across pre-conference, classroom observation, and post-conference stages, and the application of directive, collaborative, and non-directive approaches tailored to teachers’ characteristics. The results also show that differentiated clinical supervision significantly enhances teaching quality, teachers’ pedagogical competence, and their motivation to pursue higher academic qualifications.
