Abstract

The impact of advances in technology and communication has almost changed all aspects of life, including the order of educational life, making parents more protective in choosing schools for their children. This makes parents tend to prefer religion-based schools with more religious lessons. This study aims to determine the factors that influence parents' decisions in choosing Muhammadiyah High School (SMA). The research method used in this study was quantitative involving 100 parents of students who chose Muhammadiyah schools in Bantul Regency. The results of this study found that parents chose Muhammadiyah schools because of location, distance, vision and mission factors, family support and religious learning. Parents choose Muhammadiyah schools in the hope of avoiding the negative impact of technological and communication advances because Muhammadiyah schools provide more religious learning.

Abstract

Pendidikan bertujuan untuk membentuk peserta didik menjadi manusia yang beriman, berakhlak mulia, sehat, berilmu, cakap, kreatif, mandiri, dan menjadi warga negara yang demokratis serta bertanggung jawab.  Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi membuat dosen dan mahasiswa harus dapat menyesuaikan dan memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi agar proses pembelajaran berlangsung lebih efektif dan efisien. Salah satu pemanfaatan teknologi dalam penerapan pembelajaran inovatif adalah pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan internet atau yang sering disebut dengan e-learning. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan serta keterampilan kepada mahasiswa semester 5 Program Studi Manajemen Pendidikan Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Cenderawasih tentang penggunaan e-learning dalam pembelajaran. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah teori dan praktek. Hasil pengabdian ini memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada mahasiswa tentang e-learning dalam bentuk Learning Management System (LMS). Semua peserta mengikuti pelatihan dengan antusias dan respon yang sangat baik. Selain itu, mahasiswa sebagai peserta pelatihan dengan adanya kegiatan ini lebih termotivasi untuk belajar mandiri.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of instructional leadership on teacher performance in public high schools in North Toraja Regency. The research employs a quantitative approach with a simple correlation method. The sample consists of 136 teachers from four schools selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using simple regression. The findings reveal that instructional leadership has a positive and significant impact on teacher performance, contributing 52.7% of the variance. Regression analysis indicates that every one-point increase in instructional leadership improves teacher performance by 0.272 points. In conclusion, enhancing the quality of instructional leadership can significantly improve teacher performance.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan peran SIM di Universitas Prasetiya Mulya dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan akademik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi untuk memahami bagaimana individu, termasuk mahasiswa, dosen, dan staf layanan akademik, memandang penggunaan perangkat lunak SAP sebagai SIM pendidikan dalam layanan akademik di Universitas Prasetiya Mulya. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terstruktur yang dilakukan secara daring, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman, yang meliputi tiga tahapan utama: kondensasi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi FIORI di Universitas Prasetiya Mulya telah memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam mendukung fungsi administratif dan akademik, terutama dalam hal efisiensi operasional dan aksesibilitas layanan akademik. Meskipun demikian, masih diperlukan penguatan lebih lanjut dalam beberapa aspek, seperti peningkatan keamanan informasi guna melindungi data akademik, pengembangan fitur analitik untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan berbasis data, serta optimalisasi perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak agar sistem dapat berjalan lebih stabil dan efisien. Dengan perbaikan ini, SIM diharapkan dapat semakin meningkatkan kualitas layanan akademik secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of human resource management on the quality of graduates in junior high schools in Awangpone District, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi. The type of research used is ex post facto research by applying descriptive quantitative analysis to describe the real conditions in several junior high schools in Awangpone District, Bone Regency. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents, namely educators. The sampling technique used was the Proportionate Stratafied Random Sampling technique which is part of Probability Sampling. The population in this sample was 76 people, therefore the sample of this study was 76 educators. The results of the study showed that Human Resource Management (X) has a significant influence on the quality of graduates (Y). The resulting equation is Y = 7.823 + 0.141 + 0.238, with a constant value of 7.823 and a coefficient for Human Resource Management (X) of 0.238. The results of the significance test show that the t-value for Human Resource Management (X) is 2.032 with a significance value of 0.046, which is smaller than the significance level (α) of 0.05. This indicates a significant influence between human resource management and graduate quality.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of Geography subject educators in Jayapura City in creating Android-based learning media. The activity was carried out through a workshop involving 16 educators and focused on the use of the Smart Apps Creator application as a tool for developing interactive learning media. The method used is the classical method which includes the stages of preparation, design, development, and simulation. The workshop was held at the community service partner school, namely SMA Muhammadiyah, Jayapura City. The results of the activity showed that participants experienced a significant increase in knowledge and skills, as evidenced by the results of the pretest and posttest with an average increase of 2.31 points. All participants succeeded in producing an Android-based learning media application that can be used directly in classroom learning. In addition to having a positive impact on improving the digital competence of educators, this activity also opens up opportunities for ongoing collaboration between universities and the teacher community. The conclusion of this activity is that a workshop that is designed practically and applicatively is able to provide a real contribution to the development of learning quality through the use of relevant and easily implemented digital technology in schools.

Abstract

The integration of digital technology into the education system requires teachers to have adequate digital literacy, particularly in managing technology-based learning evaluations. At SMK Negeri 3 Jayapura, most teachers are unfamiliar with using the Computer-Based Test (CBT) application (E-Ujian) due to a lack of training and limited infrastructure. This community service activity aims to improve teachers' digital competence through socialization and training on the use of the CBT application (E-Ujian). The method used was classical, hands-on training, implemented in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. A total of 17 teachers participated in this activity, which was evaluated through pre- and post-tests. The results showed a significant increase in mastery, from 64.7% of participants before the training at a mastery level below 50%, which decreased to 11.7% after the training. Furthermore, 89% of participants expressed very high satisfaction with the implementation of the activity. These results indicate that systematic, hands-on training can improve teachers' digital literacy in designing, managing, and evaluating computer-based exams.

Abstract

Technological advances in the era of globalization have been increasing rapidly, especially in agriculture. Currently, many robotics companies around the world are competing to create sophisticated equipment in an effort to increase agricultural productivity. Irrigation is an important part of agriculture. With the irrigation channels, it makes it easier for farmers to water crops. To distribute water fairly and evenly, this requires primary irrigation channels that are continuous. Also, in order to align cropping patterns, an irrigation sluice gate is needed in the primary canal that can be opened and closed automatically according to a predetermined schedule. The purpose of this research is to produce a tool in the form of a prototype for water distribution and automatic opening and closing of irrigation doors using the Arduino-based Tiny RTC module. The method used in this study is a method of drawing using flowcharts and making programs using the Arduino IDE. The results of this study are a prototype of water distribution and automatic opening and closing of irrigation doors using the Arduino-based Tiny RTC module.

Abstract

Pendidikan mitigasi bencana untuk membangun kesadaran dan kesiapsiagaan terhadap risiko dan bahaya bencana gempa bumi harus dimulai sejak dini dan diterapkan secara berkelanjutan. Pendidikan mitigasi bencana yang paling efektif dan efisien dilakukan melalui pembelajaran di sekolah. Ketersediaan media pembelajaran berperan sebagai alat bantu dan media pendidikan yang mempermudah peserta didik dalam menyerap dan memahami materi. Salah satu media pembelajaran mitigasi bencana gempa bumi yang adalah Ular Tangga Guncang Bumi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon peserta didik dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran ular tangga untuk meningkatkan kesadaran serta kemampuan dalam menghadapi ancaman bencana alam gempa bumi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian research and development. Model pengembangan yang digunakan mengadopsi desain penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Yogyakarta dengan subjek uji coba sebanyak 20 peserta didik.  Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian terdiri dari analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respon penilaian peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran Ular Tangga Guncang Bumi mendapatkan rerata skor 3,5 yang tergolong dalam kategori sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.
