Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECE) is a fundamental stage in establishing the foundation for children’s holistic development. However, in practice, the demand for early literacy and numeracy skills reading, writing, and arithmetic remains a major concern among parents. This study aims to examine parents’ perceptions of early literacy and numeracy demands in early childhood and their implications for learning practices at PAUD Nurul Ikhsan. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The participants were three parents of five year old children enrolled in PAUD Nurul Ikhsan, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that parents generally perceive early literacy and numeracy skills as key indicators of children’s academic readiness for primary school. Nevertheless, parents also demonstrate awareness of the importance of setting appropriate boundaries in academic demands, emphasizing that learning should be flexible, enjoyable, and aligned with children’s developmental stages. Various strategies were used by parents to stimulate early literacy and numeracy skills, ranging from home learning assistance to additional tutoring. The study also highlights the importance of collaboration between parents and teachers to prevent excessive academic pressure on children.

Abstract

This study examines adaptive management practices in madrasahs grounded in Islamic educational values as a strategic response to policy, social, and institutional fluctuations. Madrasahs are increasingly required to demonstrate organizational adaptability in order to sustain educational quality amid dynamic regulatory changes, technological developments, and socio-cultural transformations. Employing a qualitative library research approach, this study analyzes relevant scholarly literature, policy documents, and classical as well as contemporary Islamic education sources to identify conceptual frameworks and adaptive strategies applicable to madrasah management. The findings indicate that adaptive madrasah management is characterized by flexibility in decision-making, participatory leadership, continuous organizational learning, and value-based governance rooted in Islamic principles such as amanah (trustworthiness), shura (consultation), ‘adl (justice), and ihsan (excellence). These values function not only as ethical foundations but also as strategic instruments that enhance institutional resilience and responsiveness to change. Furthermore, the integration of Islamic educational values into adaptive management enables madrasahs to balance modernization demands with their religious identity.

Abstract

This study focuses on the human resource development strategy for educators in addressing the literacy and numeracy crisis in the Merdeka Curriculum era. Three variables studied were internal training, teacher community collaboration, and the use of the Merdeka Mengajar platform. The study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory design, conducted at MA Nurul Jadid Probolinggo with a population of all teachers. The sampling technique used total sampling if the number of teachers was less than 50, or proportional random sampling if larger. The research instrument was a questionnaire based on a Likert scale (1-5), while data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression using partial tests (t-test) and simultaneous tests (F-test). The results showed that internal training had no significant effect on teacher literacy and numeracy competencies (Sig. = 0.551 > 0.05). In contrast, teacher community collaboration (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05; t = 4.375) and utilization of the Merdeka Mengajar platform (Sig. = 0.005 < 0.05; t = 3.005) were shown to have a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, all three variables significantly influenced teacher competency (Sig. = 0.000; F = 55.063). This finding indicates that improving teacher competency is more effective through professional collaboration and the use of educational technology, compared to relying solely on conventional in-house training.

Abstract

The development of digital technology demands that universities implement innovative learning strategies that are relevant to the needs of the modern education era. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of innovative digital media-based learning strategies at PGRI Wiranegara University. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews with lecturers and students, observations of the learning process, and documentation studies. The results showed that the use of digital media such as learning management systems, learning videos, and interactive applications can increase student participation, learning flexibility, and material understanding. However, the implementation of these strategies still faces obstacles such as limited digital competence of some lecturers, infrastructure readiness, and variations in student learning motivation. This study concludes that innovative digital media-based learning strategies have the potential to improve learning quality if supported by strengthening lecturer capacity, adequate facilities, and sustainable institutional policies.

Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technology has driven significant changes in learning practices at the senior high school (SMA) level, particularly in the shift from teacher-centered approaches to learning that places students at the center of the learning process (student-centered learning). One strategy considered relevant in supporting this transformation is the use of interactive learning media. This article aims to examine in depth the concept of interactive learning media, the characteristics of student-centered learning at the senior high school level, and the contribution of interactive learning media in promoting the implementation of student-centered learning. This study employs a qualitative approach through a literature review method by examining various scholarly sources, including academic journals, reference books, and relevant educational policy documents. The findings indicate that interactive learning media play a role in increasing student engagement, supporting independent learning and differentiated instruction, and providing fast and accurate feedback. Furthermore, interactive learning media are also able to create learning processes that are more collaborative, reflective, and meaningful for senior high school students.

Abstract

Formal education aims to provide a strong foundation for students by providing knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are relevant to the development needs of individuals and society. Through education, individuals can be shaped into individuals with extensive knowledge, adequate skills, and strong character. Through the educational process, a person is equipped not only with intellectual abilities but also with the moral values, attitudes, and ethics necessary for social life. The purpose of this study is to obtain information on how the use of audiovisual learning media can enhance students' motivation in piano lessons. This media is used as a means to present piano material in a more engaging way through a combination of sound and visual elements, which helps students understand the material more clearly. To describe the process and effects of using learning media, this study employs a qualitative and descriptive methodology. The research shows that audiovisual learning media can increase students’ interest in learning, as indicated by improved attention, motivation, and active participation during the learning process. Therefore, audiovisual media can be used as an effective alternative for teaching piano and supporting the achievement of learning objectives.

Abstract

While AI offers many advantages, its implementation in music learning is not without challenges. The emotional and aesthetic interactions typically present in traditional music learning can be diminished if overly reliant on technology. Furthermore, there are concerns that the use of AI could diminish the role of teachers or lead to dependence on digital devices. Therefore, a comprehensive analysis is needed to determine how AI can be used in a balanced way without diminishing the essence of music learning itself. This study aims to analyze the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) technology on the music learning process using a literature review approach. The main issue studied is how AI changes the way students understand theory, practice, and creativity in music. Through a review of various scientific sources such as journals, books, and recent research reports, this study highlights the role of AI in enhancing learning personalization, providing automated feedback, and expanding access to digital music materials. The literature review method allows researchers to identify patterns, benefits, and challenges of using AI in music education. The results show that AI technology can enrich the learning experience, strengthen musical analysis skills, and assist teachers in designing more adaptive learning, but still requires human guidance to maintain pedagogical quality and students' creative aspects.

Abstract

Moral education plays a crucial role in shaping the values and civic behavior of young generations amid social dynamics and the challenges of the digital era. This study aims to analyze the meaning of moral education in the formation of values and civic behavior among young people, including their understanding of moral values, the manifestation of these values in civic behavior, and the supporting and inhibiting factors of moral education implementation. This research employs a literature review method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected from scientific books, national and international journal articles, and relevant academic documents. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis to identify key concepts, findings, and ideas related to moral education and civic education. The findings indicate that young people generally possess a basic understanding of moral values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, tolerance, and social awareness; however, these values have not been consistently internalized into civic behavior. The manifestation of moral values is reflected in rule compliance, tolerance, and social participation, although gaps remain between moral knowledge and actual practice. Family, school, and community serve as major supporting factors, while negative digital media influences and weak supervision act as significant barriers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Qur'an memorization program at MI TBS Al Fathonah, which is integrated into the school curriculum. The study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with the principal and memorization teachers. The results show that the tahfidz program is implemented in a structured manner in teaching and learning activities (KBM) with an allocation of ten hours of lessons per week. Students are grouped into Grade A and Grade B based on their memorization abilities to improve learning effectiveness. The memorization method used is tailored to the abilities of the students, especially in lower grades, which still use the sima'i method (listening and imitating). The tahfidz program is also reinforced through daily murāja’ah practice, parental involvement, and a continuous assessment system through memorization tests and achievement books. The main obstacles faced are the limited number of tahfidz teachers and learning time that is divided with other flagship programs, adaptive methods, and collaboration between schools and parents.

Abstract

A crucial part of preparing future teachers is microteaching, which aims to build targeted and long-lasting teaching abilities. The purpose of this study is to characterize how microteaching affects the teaching abilities of students enrolled in PGRI Wiranegara University's Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program. This study used descriptive-interpretive techniques in a qualitative manner. Observation, interviews, and documentation of students' microteaching techniques were used to collect data. The study's findings show that microteaching has a beneficial effect on students' development of teaching abilities, particularly those pertaining to lesson design, execution, classroom management, and assessment. Additionally, students' professional attitudes such as self-assurance, accountability, discipline, and receptivity to criticism are shaped by microteaching. Microteaching in the framework of civics (PPKn) education aids students in acquiring teaching techniques focused on fostering morals and character. As a result, microteaching strategically contributes to improving students' professional preparedness as future educators. Thus, microteaching becomes an important foundation in producing PPKn teachers who are competent, reflective, adaptive, and ready to face the dynamics of learning in schools.
