Abstract

Morning briefing is a form of internal communication routinely implemented by companies as a medium for delivering work information, coordination, evaluation, and employee motivation. This study aims to examine in depth the role of morning briefing in improving employee performance and the effectiveness of internal communication at PT. Agrodana Futures Surabaya. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with management and employees, and documentation of company activities. The results indicate that morning briefing plays an important role in aligning employees’ work perceptions, improving work readiness, strengthening team coordination, and fostering open communication between management and employees. A well-structured and consistently implemented morning briefing also contributes to increased work discipline and better understanding of company targets. Therefore, morning briefing can be considered a strategic internal communication practice that supports organizational performance in futures brokerage companies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of academic supervision by the principal at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Manba'u Darissalam Palangka Raya, focusing on the supervision of the preparation of lesson plans (RPP), the implementation of learning in the classroom, and the assessment of learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type to obtain an in-depth picture of supervisory practices in madrasahs. Data were collected through interviews with the madrasah principal and subject teachers, observation of the learning process in the classroom, and documentation studies of learning tools. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation, and data analysis was carried out through the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and systematic conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the principal's academic supervision has not been implemented optimally because it is not yet planned, systematic, or sustainable, and is not supported by a standard supervision schedule and instruments. The supervision carried out is still administrative in nature, does not touch on the aspects of in-depth professional development of teachers, and does not provide constructive feedback for improving the quality of learning and student learning outcomes. This condition indicates the need for comprehensive and continuous improvement in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of supervision.

Abstract

Madrasahs are expected to provide high-quality education while instilling Qur’anic values; however, in practice, there remains a gap between the ideal role of madrasahs and the actual conditions encountered in the field. MI Ma’arif Pijenan reflects this gap through limited facilities, declining student enrollment, and suboptimal quality of human resources, which have resulted in decreased public trust. To date, studies on madrasah quality improvement have generally positioned branding merely as an institutional promotional strategy, rather than as an integrated quality management system linked to human resource development and Qur’anic values. This study examines the implementation of SMART-Q branding (Spiritual, Moral, Academic, Relational, and Tahfidz Quality) as an effort to bridge this gap. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings indicate that SMART-Q branding is able to strengthen madrasah quality holistically through the enhancement of spirituality, moral development, academic improvement, social relations, and the tahfidz program as a Qur’anic identity. The novelty of this study lies in conceptualizing branding as an integrated quality management system based on Qur’anic values, rather than merely as a promotional strategy

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the difficulties students face when learning classical guitar techniques in music education programs. Mastering classical guitar techniques is a crucial skill for music education students because it requires complex technical, musical, and theoretical skills. However, during the learning process, students often encounter various obstacles that prevent them from acquiring these skills. This study used qualitative methods to collect data in the form of a literature review conducted through a review of textbooks, academic journals, research articles, and other academic sources related to classical guitar and music education. The analysis found that students' difficulties generally relate to basic technical aspects such as hand position, fingering, and left/right hand coordination, as well as learning more advanced techniques such as arpeggios, tremolos, and music interpretation. Additionally, other factors contributing to student difficulties include limited practice time, differences in musical backgrounds, a lack of understanding of musical notation, and low learning motivation. The results of this study are expected to serve as material for curriculum evaluation to develop more effective and adaptive classical guitar teaching strategies tailored to the needs of teachers and students, thereby improving the quality of teaching and learning outcomes in music education programs.

Abstract

Objective: This study explores effective techniques and key considerations in data-driven quality improvement of education through a case study at MAS Jabal Nur. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews and document analysis. The findings reveal that the principles of Data-Driven Decision Making (DDDM) have been systematically applied, including academic performance analysis, curriculum evaluation, and the use of a dashboard-based monitoring system. Three key indicators outcome, process, and perception were used to assess effectiveness, all of which demonstrated improvements in student achievement, teacher and student engagement, and stakeholder satisfaction. However, challenges persist, particularly in terms of limited data literacy among teachers and underdeveloped technological infrastructure. These findings affirm the strategic role of data in educational decision-making, while highlighting the need for investment in human resource capacity, a collaborative organizational culture, and integrated information systems. This research contributes to the development of evidence-based quality management models, especially within Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student management in shaping students’ discipline at Busra Chalid Islamic Boarding School in Palangka Raya and is expected to serve as a reference for other Islamic boarding schools. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design, involving the boarding school leader, administrators, and students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with data validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that student management is implemented systematically through three main stages: planning, implementation, and supervision. Planning includes meetings and evaluation of previous programs, setting goals and disciplinary policies, preparing work programs and student activity schedules, and assigning duties to administrators. The implementation of disciplinary development is carried out through the application of daily activity schedules, habituation of congregational worship, halaqah and religious study activities, role modeling by teachers, and the provision of educational sanctions for rule violations. Supervision is conducted directly by teachers and dormitory administrators and indirectly through case records and periodic evaluation reports, demonstrating that student management plays an important role in shaping students’ discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the branding strategy of the Smart Religious School (SRS) Model in strengthening the image of SMA Negeri 2 Sleman as a religious, humanistic, and innovative school. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design to explore SMA Negeri 2 Sleman as a bounded system, allowing for an in-depth and context-rich understanding of the SRS Model as a school branding strategy. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and school digital media, which are considered sufficient to capture the conceptual implementation of the SRS Model. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model by Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the SRS Model serves as an effective branding strategy by integrating multidimensional intelligence (technological, spiritual, social, and emotional), embedding religious values across the educational system, and promoting sustainable digital innovation. The implementation of the SRS Model through school policies, work programs, budgeting, religious digital learning, and continuous evaluation significantly strengthens SMA Negeri 2 Sleman’s distinctive identity, differentiating it from other public schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the structuration of inclusive education implementation within a heterogeneous environment and to understand the awareness of students with different abilities (difabel) following the receipt of inclusive education at SMA Negeri 1 Gedangan, Sidoarjo. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews using semi-structured guides and documentation from various secondary sources. The results indicate that the implementation of inclusive education at SMA Negeri 1 Gedangan has been optimized through several initiatives, including the adjustment of the regular curriculum by lowering the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) for students with disabilities, the provision of Special Assistant Teachers (GPK), and the establishment of resource rooms. This practice forms an "inclusive culture," which is the outcome of the duality between agents (school, teachers, students) and structure (government policies and school regulations). From the perspective of Anthony Giddens' Structuration Theory, these social practices are influenced by the structural dimensions of significance, domination, and legitimation. Furthermore, the study finds that the educational process fosters "practical consciousness" in students with disabilities who can perform routine activities according to their abilities, while others exhibit "discursive consciousness" due to inconsistencies between their routines and their specific capabilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimization of the role of madrasah supervisors in improving the quality of learning and academic supervision with a focus on the Directorate General of Islamic Education of the Central Ministry of Religious Affairs. The research uses a case study method based on library research with data sources in the form of scientific journals, books, official policies of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and relevant academic articles. The results show that madrasah supervisors have a strategic role in coaching, mentoring and evaluating teachers, which has direct implications for improving the quality of learning. Supervisors' professionalism needs to be strengthened not only from technical aspects, but also professional ethics, integrity and moral commitment. Effective academic supervision must be humanist, collaborative and utilize digital technology to be more transparent, fast and have a real impact on teacher competence. On the other hand, policy support and institutional structures from the Central Ministry of Religious Affairs are crucial to ensure the sustainability of the academic supervision program. Thus, this study emphasizes the importance of transforming supervision from merely administrative to continuous professional development for the sake of improving the quality of Islamic education.
