Abstract

Language is a communication tool commonly used in everyday life. Each country has a different language with predetermined rules. For instance, in the Indonesian language, there are approximately 35 official affixes mentioned in the Big Indonesian Dictionary. These affixes include prefixes (prefixes), infixes (insertions), suffixes (suffixes), and confixes (a combination of prefixes and suffixes). In Information Retrieval, there is a stemming process, which is the process of converting a word form into a base word or the process of transforming variant words into their base form. The theory of language and automata is the foundation of the computer science field that provides the basis for ideas and models of computer systems. In the implementation of the research, several stages were carried out, such as explaining the Nazief & Adriani stemming algorithm, finite state automata, creating pseudocode, and testing using a web-based system, resulting in affixed words becoming the correct base words with 20 affixed words. The results obtained from reading this web-based system, the base word "cinta" (love) used as a test yielded accurate results in accordance with the concept of the Nazief & Adriani stemming algorithm. There are some weaknesses in stemming from suffixes, and the solution is to perform stemming from the prefix position (Prefix).

Abstract

The Greater Malang region, consisting of Malang City, Batu City and Malang Regency, has a high potential for landslides, influenced by varying topography. This study shows the potential for landslides and mitigation efforts in this region. Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) records the number of landslide incidents, and the East Java Government has formed a Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) for risk management. A research team from the National Institute of Technology Malang developed Landslide Monitor (LSdM), a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) using Long Range (LoRa) technology. The main focus is on Quality of Service (QoS) of LoRa networks. Test results demonstrate LSdM's capabilities in Line of Sight (LoS) and Non Line of Sight (NLoS) conditions, with LoRa frequency analysis highlighting differences in packet loss rates. LSdM is expected to improve landslide disaster risk management in Greater Malang.

Abstract

Smart City is a city with an innovative development concept. However, not all Smart Cities in countries have the same standard because they are quite heterogeneous. Thus, a cluster analysis was carried out to classify Smart City. The result shows that Smart City is divided into two levels, those are high and low. k-means and hierarchical clustering is used for the method of this research. The grouping is based on the motion index, which consists of economic, environmental, mobilization and transportation indicators, and also international profiles represented by various variables. This research expects that Smart City at a certain level can be compared with other levels, in order to there are improvements and mutual learning about Smart City at a high level. This can also encourage other cities in the process towards Smart City.

Abstract

The importance of maintaining the quality of information systems is one of the main factors in creating the success of a system owned by a company so as to encourage employees to utilize technology in completing their work. The web-based employee presence system is one of the systems developed by companies to monitor and measure the level of productivity of human resources. Based on the results of interviews conducted by researchers with five informants, it was found that the user's intention to use the system was still relatively low because the user was not satisfied with the implementation of the employee presence system. System evaluation can be carried out to find out what factors have a significant influence on behavioral intentions and the use of the staffing attendance system by adopting the UTAUT 2 acceptance model. This study makes adjustments to the UTAUT 2 model by eliminating price value as an exogenous variable. A total of 291 data were obtained from respondents through distributing questionnaires and data analysis was carried out using the PLS-SEM analysis technique assisted by SmartPLS. The results of the analysis show that system users must first develop behavioral intentions to use the presence system by increasing significant factors, namely: performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation which is reinforced by gender, habit, and behavioral intention.

Abstract

In the year 2023, Indonesia has more than 40 botanical gardens. The garden has an essential role as the last defence in terms of plant conservation in Indonesia. However, some problems are commonly faced in the daily management process of plant collections, especially in the inspection of plant collection activity. There are no proper records of inspection activity, wrong identification of plant collection identity, inefficient reporting system, and the lack of visualisation documentation are part of the issues. Considering the essential inspection activity of plant collection in terms of conservation in the botanical garden, the use of a QR code that is integrated into the information system of plant collection management could be an alternative to be implemented to solve the issues. The implementation of the QR code can help to identify plant collection identity, history of collection and reporting process. Every plant collection will have an identity card with a QR code. Inspection officers can access the plant collection data by scanning the QR code using a smartphone. Thus, wrong identification could be minimised, reporting process could be more efficient, and inspection activity could be recorded as a history of plant collection. In addition, basic information about plant collection can also be accessed by visitors to educate them about biodiversity and conservation.

Abstract

Forecasting is an estimate of future events on the basis of past time patterns and the use of policies for projections with past patterns. With forecasting, the company can make the right policy or decision for the raw materials to be produced. Therefore, forecasting is very important for Rumah Tempe Yusnita so that the amount of raw material inventory is not excessive or insufficient in production, the more inventory results in spoilage that occurs and can also affect losses to Rumah Tempe Yusnita. The Single Exponential Smoothing and Single Moving Average methods with the comparison of these methods will obtain both methods that can provide greater flexibility, using the SES method to respond to rapid changes and SMA to compensate or flatten larger fluctuations. Prediction analysis of raw materials using the SES and SMA methods at Rumah Tempe Yusnita can help owners predict raw materials that produce information quickly, precisely and accurately.

Abstract

Students' lack of understanding when attending lectures can result in less than optimal learning outcomes. The increasingly rapid use of information technology is not an obstacle for students to improve their learning. However, the learning media used must be relevant and valid. In the sense that the learning media contains learning material that is appropriate to the course being taught and has reliable references. Therefore, media such as a learning management system or LMS can be an appropriate solution as a learning medium. In this study, researchers took samples from visual programming courses which the majority of students considered to be difficult courses. The visual programming course does not only contain theory but also has practicum, namely visual programming using the C# (C Sharp) language. With an LMS, the material can be more structured and in accordance with the semester learning plan. With this foundation, this research aims to design a learning management system based on the google site. The method used in this research refers to the KMSLC (knowledge management system life cycle) method which has 6 stages, namely evaluate existing infrastructure, form the KM team, knowledge capture, design KM blueprint, verify and validate KM system, and implement the KM system. The research results show that a google site-based LMS (learning management system) has been successfully designed to support visual programming courses. Based on testing using the black box testing method, this google site-based LMS was declared successful and can be used as a learning medium for visual programming courses.

Abstract

Increasingly fierce business competition forces people to develop businesses to compete in selling by looking for leads to increase revenue from business sales. The development of the digital era affects the use of the internet for the process of searching for information and online purchases, such as purchasing tickets and digital products. Film is one of the industries in the entertainment world that brings a new atmosphere for people to watch films that can be watched anywhere and also online and offline. Ticket sales data that is being processed is clustered using K-Means. The clustering process and evaluation to determine the best K value in the clustering process uses the Elbow and Silhouette Score Methods. Grouping is obtained if the grouping results are not significantly different when the grouping process is carried out on the "ticket_sold" and "ticket_price" attributes. Based on the results of the Elbow Method, the result is that the value of k = 3 to the value of k = 5 is the optimal value for carrying out the data grouping process for the case of selling movie tickets. While the results of a good cluster distribution are at a value of k = 5 with a value of 0.60 using the Silhouette Score..
