Transformatika: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya is an e-journal published by Universitas Tidar. The research article submitted to this online journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) reviewers. Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through initial review processes by Editorial Board. Then, the articles will be sent to peer reviewer (Mitra Bestari) and will go to the next selection by the double-blind review process. After that, the articles will be returned to the authors to revise. These processes take a month for a maximum time. In each manuscript, peer reviewer will be rated from the substantial and technical aspects. Final decision of articles acceptance will be made by editors according to reviewers comments. Peer reviewer that collaboration with Transformatika: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya is the experts in the linguistics, literature, and their teaching area and issues around it. They were experienced in the prestigious journal management and publication that was spread around the nation and abroad.

Abstract

Ada anggapan bahwa pengetahuan kebahasaan seseorang diukur dari kemampuan berbicara. Berbicara adalah sarana yang mendasar dalam komunikasi manusia, demikian juga mahasiswa Bahasa Inggris, mereka juga dituntut untuk bisa berbicara dalam Bahasa Inggris dengan baik. Parameter seorang pembelajar  Bahasa Inggris adalah kemampuannya berbicara secara lancar. Namun kenyataan menunjukkan bahwa banyak pembelajar yang tidak bisa berbicara dengan tepat dan lancar walaupun sudah belajar selama 6 tahun.Capaian ketrampilan berbicara pembelajar dipengaruhi beberapa faktor, yaitu faktor eksternal dan internal. Motivasi adalah satu dari faktor internal yang berperan penting dalam kesuksesan belajar. Faktor yang berikutnya adalah teknik yang digunakan oleh guru.Scaffolding adalah suatu jembatan yang menghubungkan pengetahuan yang dimiliki dengan hal yang belum diketahui. Jika dilaksanakan dengan baik, scaffolding akan menjadi daya yang memicu pembelajar untuk menguasai sesuatu. Dalam proses ini pembimbing memfasilitasi pembelajar untuk menguasai konsep yang tidak dapat dikuasai pembelajar. Pembimbing tidak hanya memberikan bantuan tetapi juga harus sebisa mungkin memberikan kebebasan bagi pembelajar untuk menyelesaikan tugas-tugas secara mandiri. Ketika pembelajar sudah  bisa bertanggung jawab atau menyelesaikan suatu tugas secara mandiri, maka pembimbing secara bertahap menjauh dan memberikan kebebasan untuk belajar secara mandiri. Keyword : Scaffolding  Technique, Speaking Skill

Abstract

There are many obstacle faced in teaching learning of Bahasa Indonesia in Junior High School. Therefore, a repairement of teaching learning model which is acellerated with students’ condition and needs is needed. One alternative learning model that can be used is aplying Self Evaluation and Coaching Training model for students who have different level of independent. Self Evaluation model wich aplyed on students with have high level of independent has the average 88.33, on Students’ with low independent showed the average 67.92.  Coaching Training model wich aplyed on students with have high level of independent has the average 69,17, on Students’ with low independent showed the average 75,50. The data proves that self-evaluation model is suitable implemented for students who have high level of independent, and  coaching-training model is suitable for students with low level of independent.Keywords : Reporting a news, Model, Self-Evaluation, Coaching-Training, Independence.

Abstract

This paper focuses on analyzing short story entitled “Malam Pertama Calon Pendeta” using cultural feminist deconstructive approach. The purpose is to reveal the hidden meaning contained in the short story through deconstructive approach from feminist perspective about feminism in the scope of Balinese culture. The result shows that Krining a girl of non-Brahmana caste deconstructs feminism as an action of a feminist. Key words: deconstructive approach, feminism deconstruction, cultures.

Abstract

The aims of this research are (1) to analyze metafunction in the discourse, (2) to analyze interdependent and logico semantic meaning, and (3) to analyze the nominal group in the discourse. This research was descriptive qualitative research. The source of the data in this research was the discourse entitled What’s up with Monas?. The data was analyzed by using Systemic Functional Linguistic approach. This research found 19 clause of indicative-declarative in the discourse. Interpersonally, the writer of this discourse plays his role to give information to the reader. Ideationally, the researcher found that material process dominated the discourse. The circumstance that found was circumstance of time and place. Textually, unmarked topical theme was dominated the discourse. From interdependent and logico semantic relationship, the researcher found that clause complex appeared more often than simple clauses. This relationship influences the style of the discourse. Moreover, in nominal group, there were 8 nominal groups with classifier, 3 nominal groups with epithet and 9 nominal groups with qualifier.  From the analysis above, we can conclude that the discourse in this research include to news item. Abstract

This modern era is determined by the fast growing of information technology. It is also affected the education sector. Internet has become one alternative way for finding any kinds of information that the teacher and the students’ needs. There is no limited time and space for these kinds of technology. Teaching learning process becomes more flexible. Teacher and students could find themselves outside the classroom and regular time schedule. Moreover, students now are familiar with technology. They bring their gadget in a classroom. Sometimes, they use it for their own business when the teacher is explaining something. That is why the teacher must be creative to facilitate not only the demand for internet technology and also to increase the teaching learning process. Here, the writer proposes blog as one of the alternative media. The students can explore material that is posted by the teacher in the blog. Students can learn wherever and whenever, that of course it is really different with the conventional one.Keywords : education, technology, blog

Abstract

This research background on learning basic competencies 12.2 proverbs in writing the idea to convince or persuade the reader to be or do something in paragraph form of persuasion. Lessons are included in the curriculum for the class x KTSP second semester. The problems of this study (1) what are the effects of persuasion contained in proverbs, (2) how the implementation of learning persuasion School (SMA), based on a review pragmatic in proverbs. Based on the formulation of the problem this study aims to (1) describe the effect of persuasion proverbs, (2) make a persuasive learning design maxim in high school. This study uses several theories as follows: (1) pragmatics, (2) aspects of meaning, (3) the meaning of persuasion, (4) proverb. The data source of this research was obtained from the Dictionary of Proverbs J.S Badudu and Kamusperibahasa.com (attached data). Collecting data in this study using methods refer to proceed with the log. Data analysis using a unified and pragmatic pilah power. This study is structured to be a design study in high school. X classes the second semester, the curriculum KTSP. 12.2 Basic competencies writing ideas to convince or persuade the reader to be or do something in paragraph form of persuasion. Based on the results of 11 Data maxim that has been investigated is found maxim that has been referred to the effects of persuasion effect of ethical 1 data, the sensitizing effect 1 data, the effect humble 2 data, the effect of wisdom 2 data, the effect of fidelity 2 data, the effect of simplicity 1 record, effects alertness 1 data, the effect unyielding 1 data. This study used high school level instructional design, object of this study in accordance with the learning materials at high school based curriculum KTSP.Keywords: review pragmatic, persuasion effects category, proverbs.

Abstract

The low interest of student in teaching and learning to read Javanese scripts can result in the learning process becomes less than optimal so that the result are not up to it.It shows that if we want to improvestudent learning outcomes, then we should be able to increase the activeness of students on the subject studied. Based on this background, the researchers wanted to examine the relationship between k-w-h-l-w techniques in improving activeness and learning achievement of reading Javanese scripts through k-w-h-l-w technique to the eight grade students for “C” class of SMP 2 Magelang in second semester in the school year 2013/2014.The subject of the research of the research are 22 student consisted of 14 girls and 8 boys. They aredivided into big group and small one. The problem of this research can be formulated: Can k-w-h-l-w tehnique improve activeness and learning achievement of reading Javanese scripts through k-w-h-l-w tehnique to the eight grade students for “C” class of SMP 2 Magelang?The research carried out in February- May 2014. It was conducted in three cycles. Performed at each cycle(1 meeting) made observations of the students during the learning activities using instrumental observations, evaluated student responses to the questionnaire and evaluated activities using teacher’s questionnaires, each cycle consists of four phases: planning, acting, observing and reflecting.The result of the research : (1) k-w-h-l-w tehnique can improve the activiness of enough criteria (2,23) becames high  criteria (2,97) or  0,74 (33,18%) and (2) k-w-h-l-w tehnique can improve learning achievement  from less category (56,77) becames good category (84,84 or 28,07 (49,45%).Its conclusion obtained from the study of this class action is that k-w-h-l-w tehnique is the achievement of the k-w-h-l-w tehnique can improve the students’ activiness and learning achieviement to read Javanese script. Keyword: K-W-H-L-W tehnique, Javanese scripts, activiness, learning achievement

Abstract

 Scientific Method menjadi terkenal di Indonesia saat Kurikulum 2013 diluncurkan olen Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan di tahun 2013.  Metode ini dipercaya bisa lebih meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Proses belajar mengajar seharusnya tentang memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa  untuk mengontruksikan pengetahuan di dalam proses kognitifnya.Prinsip yang nyata dari scientific method  adalah bahwasanya metode ini berpusat pada siswa (student-centered). Situasi dan kondisi yang membuat guru dan siswa untuk selalu berkolaborasi dengan apik di dalam melaksanakan kegiatan di kelas.Bagaimana para siswa belajar dan bagaimana para guru mengajar bahasa Inggris memungkinkan para guru ini untuk menerapkan scientific method di dalam kegiatan di kelas tanpa mengganti pendekatan dan metode yang sudah ada. Ini karena scientific method tidak hanya merupakan sekumpulan langkah-langkah yang bisa digunakan di dalam mengajar.

Abstract

This study was research and development. This research and development was based on unavailibility of Indonesian language teaching materials based on the character value. Whereas, it is very essential and important for primary students to develop their character. This research was aimed at developing a product in form of Indonesian language teaching material which was integrated with character value. The development of the product in this study was done by combining steps from Kemps model and Borg and gall consisting of: (1) potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) design product (prototype) (4) validation, (5) product revision (6) main field testing, (7) revision. The result of this research revealed that the product was good and proper to be used to teach Indonesian language in primary school grade 4.Keywords: character education, teaching materials, development model

Abstract

Rapid modernization may step the local culture down unwittingly. Without a strong defense, that local culture will be eroded and disappeared sooner or later. The efforts are needed to keep the local culture and make it more recognizable to the world. It is true that culture is nation identity, so if the local culture more and more steps down, the nation has no identity. One of the milestone defenses is youth because they will continue the life of the nation. In the effort of keeping the local culture, the knowledge about culture has to be reviewed in every field, including in educational field. Local culture in educational field can be presented in literary work to interest the reader. Literary work which is reflected society’s life can be a device to keep local culture. The short story entitled Warung “Penajem” is one of literary works contained local culture of Javanese society. This short story gives example to keep Javanese culture and raise nation identity to the world.Keyword: nilai budaya, budaya lokal, strukturalisme genetik, cerpen, Warung “Penajem”.
